How to Solve Bus Traffic Fever! Level 298 — Full Solution

  1. Open the right arc with the green right-arrow bus, then the yellow bus above it; add the exposed cyan bus only after its matching bay begins cycling.
  2. Clear the small top block from its outward arrows. When its left black shell is exposed it flips to green; send that green bus before moving the known blue bus beside it.
  3. Expose the top-right shell next; it flips to red and can leave almost immediately once the red path is open.
  4. Peel the colored outer ring and preserve station space before opening the central eight-shell ring.
  5. The two top shells in the central ring flip together to brown and must remain parked because all four bays are still occupied.
  6. Expose the ring's upper-right pair next: one flips to cyan and the adjacent lower-right shell flips to blue. Send cyan first and keep blue for its own bay cycle.
  7. After the first upper brown bus moves, the shell below it flips to pink; send brown first and hold pink until the pink bay opens.
  8. Move the second upper brown bus to expose another brown shell, then send the newly revealed brown into the matching bay.
  9. The remaining lower-right shell flips to red, but leave it parked while known cyan and green buses cycle; release red only after the red bay returns.
  10. The last lower-left shell flips to brown. Send the visible red bus first, then wait for a brown bay before releasing this final mystery bus.
  11. Work through the bottom barricade in the passenger order shown, preserving the late pink, yellow, brown, and red corner buses until their matching groups reach the exit.
  12. Let the final known red and pink groups board after the last brown reveal; the verified endgame clears the remaining barricade and triggers Perfect.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Assuming the black shells reveal in the station; each flips on the board when its neighboring blocker moves.
  • Stripping the bottom barricade during the opening and losing the known red-pink-brown answers needed after the mystery core.

Board notes 5 details
Layout
A tall passenger U with a small inner pocket carries red, pink, cyan, green, yellow, purple, blue, brown, and orange groups. Four ordinary bays sit above a top colored block, a mystery-bus center ring, an open right arc, and a multicolor bottom barricade.
Goal
Start from the open right arc, remove the top and outer colored layers, then resolve each black mystery reveal before consuming the known colors stored in the bottom barricade.
Opening
Release the green right-arrow bus on the isolated right arc, followed by the yellow right-arrow bus above it and then the exposed cyan bus as matching passengers approach.
Danger Zone
Moving a blocker without accounting for the fixed color it exposes can strand the newly revealed bus while the bottom red, pink, green, cyan, yellow, brown, and orange answers remain blocked.
Mechanics
Ten black shells flip to fixed colors in place when neighboring blockers move: two sit in the top row and eight form the central ring. A reveal is a board-unlocking event, not a station-entry effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is black not listed as a Level 298 bus color?

Black is only the temporary question-mark shell; every shell flips in place to a fixed playable color.

  • Why should the central ring pause after its first reveal?

The first two central shells reveal as a brown pair while all four bays are occupied, so both must remain parked until departures create space.
