Car Sort level guide
Car Sort Level 4 Walkthrough
Car Sort Level 4 is a side-chute board where the top bridge tray must stay mostly blue while yellow and green peel off into the lower towers before the last blues are merged across the top.
Board Notes
- Layout
- A compact U-loop has two side chutes near the top corners. The top bridge tray starts mostly blue with a green pair and a yellow pair on its right edge, while the two lower towers hold mixed yellow-blue-green and green-blue-yellow stacks.
- Goal
- End with the bridge tray blue, the left lower tower yellow, and the right lower tower green. The first unlock is stripping the non-blue edge cars off the bridge.
- Opening
- Start from the top bridge tray. Peel the exposed yellow cars away first, then the green pair, and only touch the lower towers after the bridge has stopped mixing those outer colors.
- Danger Zone
- Releasing blue too early fills the bottom bend and strands the last yellow or green pair behind it, because both side chutes still need a clean entrance.
- Mechanics
- The first board with side chutes and a fixed bridge tray. Instead of emptying the tray completely, you are converting it into the final blue destination while the lower towers become the yellow and green sinks.
Quick Tips for Car Sort Level 4 (spoiler-free)
- Protect the bridge tray until yellow and green have safe homes.
- Use the side chutes for the outer colors before you move buried blue.
- Keep one bottom corner open so the last color pair can still turn.
How to Solve Car Sort Level 4 — Full Solution
- Tap the top bridge tray and send its exposed yellow cars through the side lane until the yellow destination tower is established.
- Keep working that same tray so the exposed green pair peels away into the green destination tower.
- Once yellow and green both have safe homes, tap the lower towers just enough to free their blue pairs.
- Route those blue cars back into the top bridge tray until the entire bridge becomes solid blue.
- Use the final yellow and green pairs to top off their matching towers, leaving blue across the top, yellow on the left, and green on the right.
Colors in this level:
Blue, Green, Yellow
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sending blue onto the road before the yellow and green towers are already open.
- Tapping the lower towers first and burying the bridge under mixed traffic.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should the top tray become in Car Sort Level 4?
The whole top bridge tray finishes blue. Yellow and green have to peel away into the lower towers before the remaining blue pairs can merge cleanly across the bridge.
Why are the side chutes important in Level 4?
They are the clean exits for the tray's yellow and green edge cars. If those chutes are blocked by blue traffic, the final outer-color pairs get stranded.
