How to Solve Block Out Level 240 — Full Solution
- Note counters 12 upper-left, 9 top-center, 6 top-right, 4 and 14 on the right, 20 lower-left, and 18 bottom; clear exposed upper and side pieces without parking at a shelf end.
- Use the first middle-left pocket for the short green horizontal, then clear the small cyan, green, and purple pieces around the first shelf turn.
- Route the tall upper-right cyan block through the right exit, followed by the exposed green upright; the upper rails should read 7, 4, and 1, with 15 and 13 on the lower-left and bottom rails.
- Clear the small center green, then the right purple and cyan uprights; when the top-right counter becomes a cyan exit, use it for the next cyan vertical instead of parking at the shelf end.
- Move the yellow L beside the second shelf only after the cyan route is free, then clear the small center green, right green upright, and lower-right cyan upright while emptying the right column after each move.
- Clear the small purple center block, top red horizontal, and green block beneath it; once the top green gate opens, place the large cyan L in the upper lane without blocking the second shelf.
- Route the large cyan L around the upper shelf to its exit, then send the red horizontal through the right red route and the next green upright through the top green gate.
- Clear the small upper-left cyan block and remaining green at that shelf end; with upper counters gone, switch to the red and purple left gates, blue right gate, and lower yellow/red gates.
- Send the small purple center block left, the red horizontal left, and the short cyan block right through matching exits, then clear the small yellow square through the right yellow gate.
- Remove the long green horizontal through the top route and the green upright beside the right shelf end, then rotate the large yellow L toward the right yellow gate.
- Clear the remaining red and blue center pieces through matching exits, then send the last small green square upward so the lower-left and bottom rails expose the final pocket.
- Finish the pocket in order: blue through its gate, small green through the top, purple upright left, cyan upright through the top, then the last purple upright left; confirm the PERFECT card.
Colors in this level:
Cyan, Green, Pink, Yellow, Red, Blue, Purple
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaving a routed block in the right shelf-end column before feeding the next one.
- Assuming one color alone controls a rail when several exits decrement counters together.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 240 (quick clues)
- Empty the right shelf-end column after every routed block.
- Use the 7/4/1 upper and 15/13 lower rail checkpoint to verify the opening sequence.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Tall rectangle crossed by three purple horizontal shelves. Cyan, green, pink, yellow, red, and blue groups fill four corridors; numbered white counters line both sides and the bottom, with colored gates around the edges.
- Goal
- Reduce the rail counters while routing each shelf lane around alternating ends without blocking the shared right column.
- Opening
- Clear exposed upper and side groups without parking at a shelf end, then use the first middle-left pocket for the short green horizontal and nearby small pieces.
- Danger Zone
- The right shelf-end column is reused by cyan, green, red, and the yellow L; queuing a second long piece blocks the remaining bands.
- Mechanics
- Three fixed shelves create four horizontal lanes joined only by narrow end turns and governed by side/bottom counters.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main bottleneck in Level 240?
The right ends of the three shelves form one shared column reused by cyan, green, red, and the yellow L.
When should the long cyan strip move?
Move it after the small center purple, top red horizontal, and green block beneath have cleared and the top green route is open.
