Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Dense rectangular board with long vertical color bars, a small central opening, pale counters reading 5 on top, 22 and 9 on the left, and 16 on the lower right, plus three framed vertical bars and two purple bars marked 10.
- Goal
- Reduce the four edge counters with ordinary color traffic, widen the center, route each framed bar separately, then release the 10-marked purple pieces and clear the final green and purple edge blocks.
- Opening
- Remove the upper-right red group, clear the top blue and yellow bars, then drain green, blue, red, and purple down the right side while the framed bars remain parked.
- Danger Zone
- Pulling a framed vertical bar into the center before the right-side pack is gone blocks the next frame and stalls progress on the high left counter.
- Mechanics
- Four edge counters surround a dense board whose framed and 10-marked vertical pieces share one central transit lane.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why should the framed bars stay parked during the opening?
The red, yellow, blue, and green right-side pack must use the center first. An early framed bar occupies the only turning room and delays both the next frame and the left counters.
When are the 10-marked purple pieces safe to release?
After the ordinary right-side traffic and the three framed bars have cleared enough space for each purple bar to cross the center by itself.
