Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 45 Walkthrough
Block Out Level 45 is an outside-in puzzle where a thick rim of large red, blue, green, and yellow blocks boxes in smaller framed target blocks in the lower half. The rim must be peeled from the top and sides first — the large blocks leave before the targets. Once the center opens, the framed targets can finally travel through to their exits. This inverts the usual boss pattern: the big pieces are the openers, the small ones are the finishers.
Board Notes
- Layout
- A densely packed rectangular board with large colored blocks forming a thick outer rim. A big red block fills the upper-right, a big blue block fills the upper-left, a large green square sits center-left, and yellow blocks are scattered in the center. Pink/purple framed targets sit in the lower half. Counters `7` and `9` visible on some blocks. Exits on the left wall and bottom edge.
- Goal
- The framed targets in the lower half must reach their exits, but the thick colorful rim boxes them in. Peel the rim from the top and sides before the targets can travel through the center. Large blocks leave first; framed targets leave last.
- Opening
- Start by extracting blocks from the upper edge — the blue and red large blocks shift first. Once the top thins, the green center block moves, opening a lane for the framed targets. Outside-in progression: rim, then targets.
- Danger Zone
- Trying to push a framed target before the rim is open. The targets need wide lanes to pass through the center, and the large rim blocks are too big to work around.
- Mechanics
- Level 45 inverts the usual boss pattern. The big colorful pieces are the outer rim that leaves first, and the small framed targets are the finishers. This is the first level in Block Out where the largest pieces are explicitly the openers.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 45 (spoiler-free)
- The large blocks are the rim, not the goal — peel them first.
- The framed targets are finishers that only move after the center has real lanes.
- Think in chain clears. The best move is the one that sets up the next two moves, not just the quickest current match.
How to Solve Block Out Level 45 — Full Solution
- Extract blocks from the upper edge to create the first gap in the rim.
- Shift the large blue block on the upper-left toward the left exits.
- Move the large red block on the upper-right next.
- Use the freed top space to shift the green center block, opening a lane for the lower targets.
- Rotate the first framed target through the widened center and out its exit.
- Feed the second framed target once the first is gone and the center is wider.
- Finish with the last rim fragments after both targets have left.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Trying to move a framed target before the rim has opened — the target needs a wide lane through the center that only exists after the large blocks are gone.
- Peeling only one edge of the rim and leaving the opposite side thick, which blocks the target's path from the other direction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do the large blocks leave before the targets in Block Out Level 45?
Because the large blocks form the outer rim that boxes in the framed targets. The rim must be peeled first to create the lanes the targets need to reach their exits.
When should the framed targets move in Level 45?
Only after the colorful rim has been peeled enough to open real lanes through the center. The targets are finishers, not openers.
