How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 268 — Full Solution
- Tap the first visible cyan 34 and the next front cyan 34 from left to right, allowing the cyan ants to enter the shared lower hole.
- Continue the exposed cyan front wave until its counters shorten; hold the long cyan 40 stacks until a bay returns.
- Send red 34 through the first returned bay, then red 30, following the red chain that appears after the cyan opener.
- Tap cream 2 and cream 1 for the face and stripe edges, waiting for one cream route to return before another edge route.
- Route brown 21 along the left vertical edge, then purple 4 for the lower-left square after brown has started to clear.
- Send red/pink 35 through the exposed body and reserve a bay for the raised right-side red detail.
- Clear cream 28 and the remaining white-band pieces while red ants return; do not cover the stripe with a full cyan stack.
- Tap cyan 40 and cyan 38 separately after the red body has room, waiting for each long background stream to shorten.
- Use the late red counters, including red 10 and red 5, to close the raised tail and lower silhouette gaps.
- Finish cyan 18, cyan 1 and the lower cyan 35/38 tails, then wait for the red route to return and the board to empty.
Colors in this level:
Cyan, Red, Pink, Cream, Brown, Purple, White
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Starting red 34 while cyan 40 is still long fills the five buffers and leaves the white stripe and purple square inaccessible.
- Treating brown 21 and purple 4 as part of the cyan opener can block the short red tail routes that close the raised right side.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 268 (spoiler-free)
- Finish the visible cyan 34 opening wave before committing to cyan 40; the first cyan return is the signal for red 34.
- Use red 34 and red 30 as a controlled pair, then alternate cream, brown and purple with returned bays.
- Save room for the late cyan 18/1 and lower cyan 35/38 tails so the white stripe is not buried at the finish.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- A tall cyan field contains a crimson animal-like silhouette with a raised right tail, white face patch, white horizontal stripe, brown left edge and purple lower-left detail. Visible counters include cyan 34, red 34, cream 2/1, purple 4, brown 21, red/pink 35, cream 28 and cyan 40/38, with five white buffer slots.
- Goal
- Open the cyan background first, expose the red body and white stripe, then clear the brown and purple edge details and the short cyan/red tail counters without filling every buffer with long routes.
- Opening
- Tap the front cyan 34 stacks in their displayed left-to-right order, wait for the cyan stream to shorten, then use a returned bay for red 34 followed by red 30.
- Danger Zone
- Cyan ants continue to occupy the shared lower hole while their counters become small. Starting red 34 together with cyan 40 before a cyan bay returns hides the white stripe and lower purple square.
- Mechanics
- A long cyan background interleaves with a red body and narrow white stripe. Brown 21 and purple 4 reveal edge details, while separate short red and cyan tails close the raised right side and lower body.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I tap first on Level 268?
Tap the visible front cyan 34 stacks from left to right and let that wave shorten. The first cyan return opens the safe timing window for red 34 and then red 30.
How do I keep the white stripe open?
Delay cyan 40 until the red chain has room, use cream 2/1 and cream 28 as bays return, and leave one slot for the late cyan and red tails.
