How to Solve Magic Sort Level 201 — Full Solution

  1. Tap the bottom-row near-empty blue-green bottle to bank a buffer, then peel the top green off the green-orange-orange top bottle into the top empty.
  2. Let the now-orange pair split onto any other orange, freeing the bottle as a buffer.
  3. Merge the two yellow tops from the brown-yellow and yellow-blue bottles into one lane to free another slot.
  4. Drain the bottom three-color mixers from the top down, routing each exposed color to a matching top or a clean buffer.
  5. Keep every new stack single-color and clear it onto a real stack before reusing the slot.
  6. Top off yellow, green, blue, pink, red, orange, brown, purple and gray so all ten bottles end on one color.

Colors in this level:

Yellow, Pink, Green, Orange, Brown, Blue, Red, Gray, Purple

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Pouring a top color onto a non-matching top with only one effective buffer, which buries that color.
  • Starting on a three-color bottle before the two-color mixers have banked another empty.

Board notes 5 details
Layout
A two-tier board of ten bottles, no locks, wraps, boxes, corks or magic. The top row carries a yellow-pink, a green-orange-orange, a brown-yellow, a yellow-blue and an empty buffer. The bottom row holds red-red-blue, orange-green-pink, red-blue-pink, a near-empty blue-green with the tap-to-pour marker, and one spare empty.
Goal
Bank enough buffers by splitting the two-color mixers first, then drain the three-color mixers in the bottom row from the top down so every bottle ends on a single color.
Opening
Tap the near-empty blue-green bottle to bank a buffer, then peel the top green off the green-orange-orange bottle into the top empty and let the now-orange pair split onto another orange.
Danger Zone
Pouring any top color onto a non-matching top with only one effective buffer buries that color. The three-color bottles expose one segment at a time, so never try to skip ahead — work top-down.
Mechanics
A pure sort board with no special tiles. The puzzle is space management — starting with one empty, you must split the cleanest two-color bottles first to bank enough buffers before the three-color mixers can be drained.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you start Magic Sort Level 201 with only one empty?

Tap the near-empty blue-green bottle to bank a buffer, then peel the top green off the green-orange-orange bottle into the top empty. That split hands you a second buffer for the three-color mixers.

  • Why tackle the two-color bottles before the three-color ones in Level 201?

Two-color bottles split into empties with the fewest moves, banking the spare space you need before the three-color mixers expose their deeper colors.
