Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 439 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 439 is a three-tier, thirteen-bottle two-cork combo with two starting empties. Pop the green-tagged T3 cork with the top green of the tall green+red+blue anchor, pop the brown-tagged T4 cork with the bottom-row brown, drain the two 3-color middle mixers through the freed slots, distribute the two revealed cork stacks (each a purple+orange mix), and top off yellow, pink, red, blue, green, brown, cyan, orange and purple each into a single bottle.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 439 — Full Solution
- Pour the top green segment of the tall T2 anchor into the empty T5 slot so T2 collapses to a red+blue base and T5 becomes a parked green buffer.
- Pour the now-exposed red top of T2 down into the empty B2 slot so the bottom row gains a parked red buffer and T2 collapses to blue.
- Pour the remaining blue top of T2 onto the full blue M1 bottle so M1 becomes the blue lane and T2 turns into a working top-row empty.
- Pour the top pink of the T6 pink+green mixer down onto the small pink M2 bottle to grow pink, then pour the just-exposed green from T6 onto the parked green at T5 to grow the green lane.
- Pour the bottom-row B3 brown onto the brown-tagged T4 cork in the top row so T4 pops and reveals a new purple+orange stack in the same slot, then pour the just-poured brown back onto the bottom-row B3 to keep the brown lane clean.
- Pour a green segment from the parked green at T5 onto the green-tagged T3 cork in the top row so T3 pops and reveals a new orange+purple stack in the same slot, then pour the just-poured green back onto the parked green at T5 to grow the green lane.
- Drain the middle-row M2 pink+green+brown mixer top-first — pink onto the parked pink at M2, green onto the parked green at T5, brown onto the parked brown at B3 — so the M2 bottle becomes a working empty.
- Drain the middle-row M3 brown+green+blue mixer top-first — brown onto the parked brown at B3, green onto the parked green at T5, blue onto the parked blue at M1 — so the M3 bottle becomes a working empty, distribute the two released purple+orange cork stacks into matching orange and purple lanes, and top off yellow, pink, red, blue, green, brown, cyan, orange and purple each into a single bottle so all thirteen positions end on a single color.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring the top green of the tall T2 anchor into any bottle other than the T5 empty before T5 is parked, which strands the only green trigger the T3 cork has and leaves T3 sealed with its hidden color locked behind it for the rest of the run.
- Pouring the bottom-row B3 brown into the middle-row M3 brown+green+blue mixer or any other non-T4 lane before T4 is parked, which strands the only brown trigger the T4 cork has and leaves T4 sealed with its hidden color locked behind it.
- Pouring a non-matching color (red, blue, yellow, cyan, pink, orange) onto either the T3 green cork or the T4 brown cork, which still breaks the cork seal but strands a wrong top on the released bottle and costs an extra pour to clear before that bottle can join the sort.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 439 (spoiler-free)
- Peel the tall T2 green+red+blue anchor top-first and bank the green into the T5 top-row empty before touching either cork, because green is the only clean trigger for the green-tagged T3 cork and burning that top green on a different lane strands T3 with its hidden color locked behind it.
- Reserve the bottom-row B3 brown for the T4 cork pop and never pour it onto the middle-row M3 brown+green+blue mixer, because brown is the only trigger the brown-tagged T4 cork has and routing it into M3 strands T4 with its hidden color locked behind it.
- After both corks are popped, drain the two 3-color middle mixers (M2 pink/green/brown and M3 brown/green/blue) top-first through the parked lanes (B1 red, B3 brown, M1 blue, T5 green, M2 pink) and the two revealed purple+orange cork stacks, and keep every working buffer single-color, because the two 3-color mixers plus the two released cork stacks plus the already-parked singles have to resolve to nine single-color lanes plus the two starting empties-turned-buffers and the two popped corks.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Three tiers, thirteen bottle positions (6 top + 3 middle + 4 bottom), no locks, wraps, boxes, spray cans, frozen tiles, magic overflow bottles or scroll vaults. The top row runs left to right — T1 a small pink-over-yellow 2-color mixer with a "?" cap, T2 a tall full-green bottle whose green top hides a red+blue base, T3 a corked white bottle with a green tag (the green cork trigger), T4 a corked white bottle with a brown tag (the brown cork trigger), T5 a near-empty slot with a "?" cap, and T6 a small pink-over-green 2-color mixer with a "?" cap. The middle row is three small bottles — M1 a full blue with a "?" cap, M2 a small pink-over-green-over-brown 3-color mixer with a "?" cap, and M3 a small brown-over-green-over-blue 3-color mixer with a "?" cap. The bottom row is four full single-color singles — B1 red, B2 an empty with a "?" cap, B3 brown, and B4 cyan. The most visually dominant feature is the unbroken band of two corked white bottles (T3 green tag, T4 brown tag) sitting side-by-side in the middle of the top row, and the second most dominant feature is the tall full-green T2 anchor on the left of the top row that hides a red+blue base.
- Goal
- Pop the two top-row corked bottles (T3 with green, T4 with brown) by pouring their matching trigger color onto the cork so the hidden color joins play, then drain the two 3-color middle mixers (M2 pink/green/brown, M3 brown/green/blue) top-first, distribute the two revealed cork stacks (each a purple+orange mix) into matching lanes, and top off yellow, pink, red, blue, green, brown, cyan, orange and purple each into a single bottle. The real chokepoint is the tall green+red+blue anchor at T2: green is also the only clean trigger for the T3 cork, so the player has to peel the anchor top-first and bank the green into the T5 top-row empty before the T3 cork can be popped, and the bottom-row B3 brown has to be reserved for the T4 cork pop without ever being poured into a different lane first. The first unlock that matters is parking the top green of T2 into the T5 empty — it is the only way to free a clean green trigger without burning the B3 brown or any other buried color.
- Opening
- Pour the top green segment of the tall T2 anchor into the empty T5 slot so T2 collapses to a red+blue base and T5 becomes a parked green buffer. Pour the now-exposed red top of T2 down into the empty B2 slot so the bottom row gains a parked red buffer and T2 collapses to blue. Pour the remaining blue top of T2 onto the full blue M1 bottle so M1 becomes the blue lane and T2 turns into a working top-row empty. Pour the top pink of the T6 pink+green mixer down onto the small pink M2 bottle to grow pink, then pour the just-exposed green from T6 onto the parked green at T5 to grow the green lane.
- Danger Zone
- Pouring the top green of the tall T2 anchor into any bottle other than the T5 empty (red, blue, brown, cyan, yellow, pink, orange, purple) before T5 is parked strands the only green trigger the T3 cork has, so the T3 cork stays sealed with its hidden color locked behind it for the rest of the run. Pouring the bottom-row B3 brown into the middle-row M3 brown+green+blue mixer or any other non-T4 lane before T4 is parked strands the only brown trigger the T4 cork has, so T4 stays sealed with its hidden color locked behind it. Pouring a non-matching color (red, blue, yellow, cyan, pink, green, orange) onto either the T3 green cork or the T4 brown cork still breaks the cork seal but strands a wrong top on the released bottle, which costs an extra pour to clear before that bottle can join the sort.
- Mechanics
- A three-tier, thirteen-bottle two-cork combo with two starting empties. The two top-row corked bottles (T3 with a green tag, T4 with a brown tag) sit side-by-side in the middle of the top row, each with a small colored bottle visible through the cloth, and they only open on their exact matching color poured from the top. Once popped, each cork reveals a purple+orange stack that joins play. The chokepoint is depth-aware cork order plus the tall T2 anchor: the T3 green trigger lives on top of the T2 green+red+blue stack, and the T4 brown trigger lives in the bottom-row B3 brown single, so the player has to peel the T2 anchor top-first, park the green at T5, route the buried red+blue into the red and blue lanes, then use the parked green to pop T3, then use the B3 brown to pop T4, then drain the two middle-row 3-color mixers (M2 pink/green/brown, M3 brown/green/blue) top-first through the freed slots and the two revealed purple+orange cork stacks, and finally top off yellow, pink, red, blue, green, brown, cyan, orange and purple each into a single bottle.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the first pour in Magic Sort Level 439?
Pour the top green segment of the tall T2 green+red+blue anchor into the empty T5 slot in the top row. Green is the only clean trigger for the green-tagged T3 cork, and the only way to free a usable green trigger is to peel the T2 anchor top-first and bank the green at T5 before either cork is touched. The player can then pour the now-exposed red into the empty B2 slot and the remaining blue onto the full blue M1 bottle, leaving T2 as a working top-row empty for the rest of the sort.
How do the two corked bottles in Magic Sort Level 439 work?
The two top-row corked bottles T3 (with a green tag) and T4 (with a brown tag) sit side-by-side in the middle of the top row, each with a small colored bottle visible through the cloth. Pouring the exact matching color onto the cork pops the cork and reveals a purple+orange stack in the same slot, but pouring a non-matching color still breaks the seal and strands a wrong top on the released bottle, which costs an extra pour to clear. The T3 cork only opens on green, and the T4 cork only opens on brown, and the player has to peel the green trigger off the T2 anchor and use the bottom-row B3 brown for the T4 cork pop in that depth order so each released bottle lands in a working buffer.
Why pop the green-tagged T3 cork before the brown-tagged T4 cork in Level 439?
The T3 green trigger lives on top of the T2 green+red+blue anchor, so it has to be peeled and parked at T5 before the T3 cork can be popped. The T4 brown trigger lives in the bottom-row B3 brown single, which is its own clean lane and can be popped at any time after T5 is parked. Popping T4 first with the B3 brown works mechanically, but it strands the green+red+blue anchor in the top row without a green trigger, so the player has to peel the T2 anchor top-first, park the green at T5, route red to B2 and blue to M1, then pop T3 with the parked green, then pop T4 with the B3 brown, in that order so both released cork stacks land in working buffers.
