Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 337 Walkthrough

expert 8 colors

Level 337 is a six-column two-feed board double-gated by shutter 6 on the right green tube and basin badge 5 below. Clear the upper receivers while both counters step to zero, then work the exposed lower board through a pink cracked count cell, a green L-pipe and a white L-pipe that is the last large clear.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 337 — Full Solution

  1. Hold the yellow L at c4-c5 r3 in place and let both feeds run. The grey sand mass at c1-c2 r1 drains into the green +10 receiver at c1 r3, and the green tube fills the blue receiver at c5-c6 r1 through shutter 6. The shutter steps to 5 and the basin badge steps to 4 at about 0:05.
  2. At about 0:10 the green +10 receiver at c1 r3 fills to 100%, clears and awards +10 seconds. The red receiver at c2-c3 r2 reaches 100% and vanishes in the same window. The shutter reads 4 and the 24-count reads 22.
  3. At about 0:20 the shutter steps to 3 and the basin badge reads 2. The orange receiver at c2 r3 clears, opening a gap around the yellow L. Reposition the yellow L into the cleared space. The 24-count reads 21.
  4. At about 0:25 both the shutter and the basin badge reach zero. The yellow-framed basin at c1-c6 r6-r10 converts to terrain and the lower board opens, exposing a pink cracked count cell at approximately c3-c4 r7-r8 starting at about 9, a green L-pipe receiver with badge 19 at c5-c6 r7-r8, and purple/magenta blocks at c1-c3 r9-r10.
  5. Work the newly exposed receivers from the edges inward. At about 0:45 the right-side badge reads 17 and the pink cracked cell reads 7. Clear the green pieces and small coloured receivers around the centre while keeping both feed routes open.
  6. At about 1:00 a white L-pipe receiver appears at approximately c4-c6 r3-r5 of the opened lower board and begins expanding left. The right badge reads 15 and the pink cracked cell reads 5. Keep clearing left-side pieces to give the pipe room.
  7. At about 1:15 a large pink checkered receiver fills across c1-c4. The pink cracked cell reads 4 (badge 14). Continue left-to-right across the lower board while preserving the white pipe's feed route.
  8. At about 1:25 the pink cracked cell reaches 1 and clears (badge 11). The red 1x2 receiver at approximately c1-c2 r8 fills and vanishes. Remaining badges step faster.
  9. At about 1:35 the bottom red receiver clears. Badge reads 9. The board is half empty: the white L-pipe, a few brown/dark receivers on the left and the last purple pieces remain.
  10. At about 1:47 the 24-count badge clears and awards a large time bonus, pushing the timer from about 0:30 back to about 0:57.
  11. Clear the white L-pipe and the last purple and dark receivers. The board empties at about 2:15 with the timer at approximately 0:37, and the SAND BLOCKS card confirms Level 337.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Moving the yellow L out of c4-c5 r3 before the red and orange receivers around it have cleared, which seals either the green feed's c5 lane or the white feed's c3 lane and stalls both counters.
  • Piling receivers around the pink cracked count cell in the lower board before its count reaches zero, blocking the sand routes that feed the white L-pipe and the remaining receivers.
  • Ignoring the 24-count badge position at c5-c6 r5 and accidentally filling its lane with a misplaced receiver, which delays the badge's final step and the late time bonus.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 337 (quick clues)

  • Do not move the yellow L at c4-c5 r3 until the red and orange receivers around it have cleared.
  • The basin badge and the shutter are separate gates that both must reach zero before the lower board opens.
  • The 24-count badge awards a large time bonus when it clears at about 1:47, so do not panic when the timer drops below 0:30.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Six columns (c1-c6) by ten rows (r1-r10). A white sand bottle feeds at c1-c2 and a green tube feeds at c5-c6 with shutter 6. Upper grid r1-r5: grey sand mass at c1-c2 r1, dark block at c3-c4 r1, blue receiver at c5-c6 r1, green +10 badge at c1 r3, red 1x2 at c2-c3 r2, black 1x1 at c4 r2, yellow L at c4-c5 r3, orange at c2 r3, pink checkered at c5-c6 r3-r4, green receivers at c3 r4 and c5-c6 r4, 24-count badge at c5-c6 r5. Basin: yellow-framed purple at c1-c6 r6-r10 with badge 5.
Goal
Both gates must reach zero: shutter 6 to 0 and basin 5 to 0. That clears the basin terrain and opens the lower board with a pink cracked count cell, a green L-pipe, a white L-pipe and purple/magenta blocks. The 24-count badge spans both phases and is the level's master counter.
Opening
Leave the yellow L at c4-c5 r3 in place while the grey mass and green feed fill the surrounding receivers. The green +10 at c1 r3 fills and clears for +10 at about 0:10. The red at c2-c3 r2 and orange at c2 r3 fill and vanish while the shutter steps 6 to 4 and the basin steps 5 to 3.
Danger Zone
The yellow L at c4-c5 r3 shares c5 with the green feed's shutter lane. Dragging it left into c3-c4 blocks the white feed lane instead. Either move seals a feed and stalls both counters. In Phase 2, piling receivers around the pink cracked count cell before its count reaches zero blocks the sand routes that feed the white L-pipe.
Mechanics
Two feeds (white left, green right) with a shutter 6 on the right gate and a basin badge 5 below; 24-count stepping badge spanning both phases and awarding a large late time bonus; green receiver with +10 time bonus at c1 r3; pink cracked count cell in the lower board stepping independently; white L-pipe receiver expanding across the opened lower board as the last large clear.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does the lower half of the board stay locked?

The purple basin at c1-c6 r6-r10 is gated by a badge that starts at 5. It opens only when the badge counts down to zero, which requires both feeds to deliver sand through the upper receivers while the shutter on the right feed also steps to zero.

  • What is the pink cracked receiver in the lower board?

It is a count cell that steps down independently from the 24-count badge. It starts at about 9 after the basin opens and must reach zero before the area around it clears. Do not block its feed lanes with misplaced receivers.

  • When does the big time bonus arrive?

The 24-count badge at c5-c6 clears at about 1:47 and awards a large time bonus that pushes the timer from about 0:30 back to about 0:57, so the late game is not as tight as the timer suggests at the halfway point.
