Block Out Level 191 Walkthrough

hard 8 colors

Block Out Level 191 is a tall hourglass packed with red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and orange groups around white numbered perimeter cells. Open the upper chamber into the waist, hold the long blue bar as a vertical connector, and peel the marked green and red bands in the lower half before that blue bar ever shifts sideways.

  6. Resolve the marked green band in the lower-left, then the marked red band beneath it.
  7. Remove the lower yellow groups and the orange block on the right edge.

Board notes 5 details
Layout
Tall hourglass with packed upper and lower chambers, white numbered cells along the top, sides, and bottom, repeated circular markers on several red and green groups, long yellow and blue bars near the waist, and a crowded middle connector.
Goal
Clear the upper chamber enough to open the waist, resolve the marked lower bands, keep the vertical center lane until the last corner groups exit, then finish the remaining orange and green edge pieces.
Opening
Remove the upper purple and cyan groups, clear the adjacent green blocks, and expose the yellow vertical bar on the right of the waist before touching the blue center bar.
Danger Zone
The long blue center bar is the only clean route through the waist. Moving it sideways before the lower marked red band clears seals the two chambers apart.
Mechanics
Hourglass geometry with perimeter counters, repeated marker bands, one central lane, and long yellow and blue bars that must stay ordered.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is the blue center bar so sensitive?

It is the only clean route through the hourglass waist. Shifting it sideways while marked lower bands remain isolates the two chambers.

  • What fails if you attack the lower marked red band first?

The upper chamber has not opened the waist approach yet, so freed lower pieces have no vertical path and re-clog the waist.
