Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 316 Walkthrough
Block Out Level 316 packs four perimeter shutters around yellow and cyan countdown columns. Remove the loose edge colors to drain the shutters, preserve the narrow center bridge until both columns vanish, then use the exposed top red gate for the red-heavy endgame.

How to Solve Block Out Level 316 — Full Solution
- Remove the loose upper-left blue group to expose the green column and the inside corner of the yellow L.
- Clear that green column and yellow edge group to start lowering the top and both side shutters.
- Send the reachable lower-right purple pieces through the bottom purple gate and clear the right-edge green and blue groups while that side remains open.
- Use the new right-side space to extract the tall yellow and blue groups, then clear the small red, green, and yellow pieces around the base of cyan 17.
- Keep the central bridge empty while the side shutters fall; route blue left, green right, and yellow through the lower-left gate as those exits are exposed.
- Peel the blocks beside the yellow outlined column until that column leaves.
- Continue clearing around cyan as its count drops to 3, 2, and 1, then send the remaining green and blue columns to their side gates.
- When the top shutter reaches zero, move the last yellow column through the floor gate and clear the large red formations through the exposed top gate.
Colors in this level:
Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Cyan, Red
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Parking a long red or blue group across the central bridge before the right-side colors leave.
- Treating the first nearly empty screen as completion even though the top red gate still has to clear the remaining red formations.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 316 (quick clues)
- Keep one vertical route open beside cyan until both internal countdown columns have disappeared.
- Use the right-side gap for purple, green, and blue before moving any long red group toward center.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Tall rectangular board with a yellow outlined column left of center, a cyan 17 column below center, four red-outlined cells above them, and white shutters marked 23 at the top, 4 on the left, 7 on the right, and 10 along the lower-left edge.
- Goal
- Drain the perimeter shutters with loose blue, green, yellow, and purple groups, clear the yellow and cyan internal columns without sealing their shared lane, then route the late red formations through the revealed top gate.
- Opening
- Remove the upper-left blue group, clear its adjacent green and yellow pieces, send reachable purple squares through the bottom gate, and peel green and blue from the right edge while that side still has parking room.
- Danger Zone
- The cells beside the yellow outlined column and above cyan 17 are the only bridge between the board halves. A long red or blue group parked there traps cyan and stalls both side shutters.
- Mechanics
- Four numbered perimeter shutters open in stages while yellow and cyan internal countdown columns fall; the top shutter ultimately reveals the red exit needed for the final formations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why must the center stay open in Level 316?
Both board halves and the cyan countdown column depend on the same narrow bridge. Covering it stalls the side shutters and strands cyan.
What happens after the top shutter reaches zero?
It exposes the red exit. The remaining red formations are the final phase and must be routed through that top gate.
