Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 508 Walkthrough
A narrow waist, 8- and 3-count shutters, and several full-footprint outlined shapes define Block Out Level 508: open the lower field first, reserve the neck for both cyan L pieces, and dismantle the late yellow-red reservoir from its edges.

How to Solve Block Out Level 508 — Full Solution
- Remove the free right-side green block and lower cyan bar, then send the bottom purple group through the purple floor gate.
- Clear the accessible yellow and green pieces around the red outlined 2-by-2 group until the middle shutter marked 3 retracts.
- Leave the starting lower-left cyan/green outlined L in its pocket while clearing the ordinary cyan, green, yellow, and purple pieces around the central neck.
- Use the revealed yellow, green, red, and purple groups to reduce the wide upper shutter from 8 toward 4.
- After the upper reservoir opens, remove the pink horizontal block and reachable yellow groups to create a clean center route.
- Clear the upper-right red group, then turn the newly revealed upper cyan/red outlined L through the open top/right route before a yellow column occupies the neck.
- Send the long yellow column through its gate and remove the remaining purple bars and red connected squares from the middle field.
- Return to the original lower-left cyan/green outlined L after the neck empties, route its full footprint out, then clear the final purple and red pieces.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sliding only the leading cyan square into the neck when the attached green corner cannot follow.
- Leaving the long yellow column vertical in the funnel before the upper outlined cyan L has turned toward its exit.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 508 (quick clues)
- Keep the starting lower-left cyan/green L parked until the ordinary neck traffic clears; the upper revealed outlined L leaves first.
- Clear the pink horizontal piece soon after the upper reveal so the long yellow column has a straight descent.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- A wide upper shutter marked 8 sits above a smaller middle shutter marked 3 on a narrow-waisted board. The exposed lower field contains a cyan/green outlined L, a red outlined 2-by-2 group, long purple pieces, cyan bars, green squares, and yellow blocks.
- Goal
- Retract the middle shutter from the lower field, use its reveal to reduce the upper shutter, then clear the pink/yellow/red upper reservoir while preserving the central neck for the connected cyan shapes.
- Opening
- Send the free right green block and lower cyan bar through their gates, clear the bottom purple group, and remove yellow/green pieces around the red outlined square to drop the 3-count shutter.
- Danger Zone
- The one-column neck is shared by the long yellow/purple pieces and both cyan outlined L shapes. A vertical bar parked there leaves enough room for one leading square but not for an attached footprint to turn.
- Mechanics
- Sequential 3- and 8-count shutters feed one funnel, while cyan/green L shapes and red outlined squares move as connected full-footprint pieces.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which shutter opens first in Block Out Level 508?
Open the smaller middle shutter marked 3 from the exposed lower field; its reveal supplies the pieces needed to reduce the wide upper shutter.
Why will the cyan outlined L not pass the center?
Its entire attached footprint needs turning room. Clear the long yellow and purple bars from the neck before moving the cyan leading segment.
