How to Solve Block Out Level 540 — Full Solution

  1. Clear the edge-facing left cyan/blue group and the small red block beside the right gate.
  2. Remove the exposed upper yellow and green groups to widen the passage above the orange shutter.
  3. Shift the cyan/green connected corner within the upper-right pocket only far enough to uncover the red and yellow blocks beneath it; keep the full outline on the board.
  4. Park the larger purple/cyan corner against the right wall while sending the upper-left cyan vertical to the blue gate and the top red horizontal through the right red gate.
  5. Move the short yellow bar left, then clear the remaining top purple horizontal, blue block, green vertical, and yellow column to count the orange 2 shutter to zero.
  6. After the orange shutter retracts, clear the first revealed red, yellow, green, and cyan blocks through their direct side gates; this widens the board around both corners instead of clearing either corner twice.
  7. Route the purple/cyan corner down through the widened center first, then slide the cyan/green corner through the same opening after its trailing green arm clears the right wall.
  8. Take the next revealed blue horizontals right and the green verticals left/up, followed by the yellow floor blocks; these exits reduce the purple 35 reservoir without filling its middle approach.
  9. When the lower numbered compartments appear, clear the cyan bar over the left compartment and the yellow/orange blocks over the right compartment so both lids retract and expose the floor row.
  10. Route the later long cyan/green connected L through the open center to the blue/green exits, then remove the purple floor bar and the small loose green block.
  11. Move the large yellow square only after its right and upper cells are empty; send it through the yellow gate and finish with the last cyan vertical.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Parking a loose yellow or green block in the shared turning bay before both connected corners pass.
  • Trying to move the large yellow square while lower reservoir pieces still block its footprint.

Quick Tips for Block Out Level 540 (quick clues)

  • Keep the cells above the orange shutter clear while the two opening corners are repositioned; their real exits come after the first reveal widens the center.
  • Clear each reservoir layer from its side gates inward before drawing long shapes into the middle.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
A compact blue/green/yellow/purple/red/cyan top pack contains two connected corner outlines on the right. Full-width orange and purple shutters marked 2 and 35 fill the middle and lower board, with numbered exits around the edges.
Goal
Clear the top pack, open both full-width shutters, and route all late connected cyan/green shapes before the final large yellow square and loose floor blocks.
Opening
Remove the left cyan/blue group, the small red block by the right gate, and exposed upper yellow/green pieces while leaving both connected corners on the board; they are repositioned only after the loose top pack thins.
Danger Zone
The passage above the orange shutter is the only turning bay for both connected corners; parking a loose block there traps their trailing arms.
Mechanics
A 2-count entrance shutter covers a 35-count reservoir whose successive layers release more colored groups and connected outlines.
