Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 514 Walkthrough
Colony Flow Level 514 is a cat-chef pixel art board where the orange body, teal sky, dark red accents, and purple details all share one route, so the orange 35 and teal 31 openers have to clear before the dark red 21 wave in source row 1 starts.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 514 — Full Solution
- Tap the orange 35 stack in the first cell of the 4-cell active row. Orange ants walk the dirt path up to the cat body at the top of the cat-chef portrait, and the cat body cells closest to the ant hole start clearing in the first beat. Wait for the first orange ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack. Do not tap the teal 31 or any source row stack yet.
- Tap the teal/cyan 31 stack in the second cell of the active row. Teal ants walk the same dirt path and start clearing the sky background. The two waves share the path, so leave one beat between them so the first cat body cells are mostly cleared before the sky cells start clearing. Do not tap the dark red 21 or orange 34 or any source row stack yet.
- Tap the orange 34 stack in the fourth cell of the active row. Orange ants walk the dirt path and continue clearing the cat body and platform. Orange waves share the path, so leave one beat between the second and third orange waves so the sky band is at least half-cleared before the remaining body cells start clearing. Do not tap any source row stack yet.
- Tap the dark red 21 stack in the third cell of the active row, then the orange 35 in the first cell of source row 1 as it rises into the active row, then the teal/cyan 42 in the second cell, then the teal/cyan 40 in the third cell, then the teal/cyan 40 in the fourth cell. Dark red ants start clearing the accent details, orange ants clear the last body cells, and teal ants clear the remaining sky. Leave one beat between each wave so the body is mostly cleared before the sky starts clearing. Do not tap any source row 2 stack yet.
- Tap the orange 40 stack in the first cell of source row 2, then the purple 5 in the second cell, then the orange 40 in the third cell, then the orange 40 in the fourth cell, as each one rises into the active row. Orange ants clear the last platform cells, purple ants clear the small detail accents, and the late refill waves that rise into the buffer pads finish the white chef hat and light highlights. The cat-chef portrait clears once the last matching cube is routed off and the level banner appears.
Colors in this level:
Orange, Teal, Dark red, Purple, White
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Firing the dark red 21 stack in the active row before the orange 35 and teal 31 active row waves have cleared the cat body and sky perimeter of the cat-chef portrait, which sends dark red ants across the sky that teal still has to clear and stalls them on the remaining accent cells, blocking the orange 40 stacks in source rows 2 and 3 that need to clear the rest of the platform.
- Tapping the purple 5 stack in source row 2 while orange ants are still walking the dirt path up to the cat body, which strands purple ants on the remaining detail cells and blocks the orange 40 stacks in source rows 2 and 3 that need to clear the rest of the platform.
- Letting the orange 40 stacks in source row 2 rise into the active row before the dark red 21 accent wave from the active row has at least started clearing the detail cells, which strands orange ants on the remaining platform cells and blocks the late white chef hat refills that need to rise into the buffer pads.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 514 (spoiler-free)
- Tap the orange 35 and teal 31 in that order from the active row before you touch any source row stack. The cat body and the sky background are the two highest-traffic color regions on the cat-chef portrait, and they have to clear together before the dark red 21 in the active row or the purple 5 in source row 2 is allowed onto the dirt path.
- Treat the active row as the opener queue and the 3-row, 4-column source grid as the supply. The active row has no empty buffer pads at the start, so source row stacks can only rise once active row stacks are drained. Tap the dark red 21 and orange 34 in the active row only after the orange 35 and teal 31 waves have cleared, and tap the orange 35, teal/cyan 42, teal/cyan 40, and teal/cyan 40 in source row 1 only after source row stacks rise.
- Save the purple 5 stack for last among the accent colors. The video shows purple being dispatched only after orange and teal are nearly complete. Filling a buffer slot with purple cubes early strands the refill waves and leaves the chef hat and light highlights empty.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art cat-chef portrait inside a white frame: a light blue sky background with white and teal accents across the upper band, an orange cat character wearing a white chef's hat sitting on a brown wooden platform or rock in the center, a number 188 visible in the middle of the art, and small dark red and purple accent details on the cat. Below the dirt strip the working area is a 4-cell top active row plus a 3-row, 4-column source grid. The 4-cell top active row opens as orange 35, teal/cyan 31, dark red 21, orange 34. Source row 1 reads orange 35, teal/cyan 42, teal/cyan 40, teal/cyan 40. Source row 2 reads orange 40, purple 5, orange 40, orange 40. Source row 3 (partially cut off) reads orange 4, teal/cyan 46, orange 5.
- Goal
- Orange cubes from the orange 35 and orange 34 in the active row, the orange 35 in source row 1, the orange 40 stacks in source rows 2 and 3, plus the late orange refills must clear the cat body and brown platform. Teal/cyan cubes from the teal/cyan 31 in the active row, the teal/cyan 42 and 40 stacks in source row 1, the teal/cyan 46 in source row 3, plus the late teal refills must clear the light blue sky background. Dark red cubes from the dark red 21 in the active row must clear the accent details on the cat. Purple cubes from the purple 5 in source row 2 must clear the small detail accents. White cubes from the late white refills that rise into the empty buffer pads must clear the white chef hat and light highlights.
- Opening
- The board starts with the orange 35 stack in the first cell of the 4-cell active row. Orange 35 is the first stack in the active row and the cat body is the largest color region the ant trail reaches from the ant hole, so opening with orange 35 dispatches orange ants up the dirt path in the first beat and the cat body cells closest to the ant hole start clearing immediately. The second confirmed tap is the teal/cyan 31 stack in the second cell, which sends teal ants up the same dirt path and starts clearing the sky background. The two openers establish the main color clearance before smaller accent stacks are addressed. The dark red 21 in the third cell and orange 34 in the fourth cell are held until the first two waves clear.
- Danger Zone
- The first real trap is the purple 5 stack in source row 2 column 2. The purple detail accents are tiny regions in the picture, and if the player taps the purple 5 before the orange 35 and teal 31 active row waves have cleared the cat body and sky perimeter, purple ants use the same dirt path as the orange and teal ants that still have to clear the body and sky and they stall on the remaining purple cells, blocking the orange 40 stacks in source rows 2 and 3 that need to clear the rest of the platform. The other trap is firing the dark red 21 stack in the active row while orange ants are still walking the dirt path up to the cat body, because dark red ants use the same dirt path as the orange ants and a premature dark red click strands dark red ants on the remaining accent cells.
- Mechanics
- Level 514 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art clear goal and a single ant hole, with a cat-chef-on-blue-sky scene. The 4-cell top active row plus the 3-row, 4-column source grid makes this a 12-stack working area with no empty buffer pads in the active row from the start, so the player has to drain active row stacks before source row stacks can rise. The cat-chef pixel art has five main color families (orange body and platform, teal sky background, dark red accents, purple details, white chef hat) plus the late refill waves, and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. Compared to Level 510's house-building board, this cat-chef scene opens with two stacks in the active row (orange 35 and teal 31) that have to clear before the dark red 21 and orange 34 are dispatched.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the safest first move in Colony Flow Level 514?
The safest opener is the orange 35 stack in the first cell of the 4-cell active row, then the teal/cyan 31 stack in the second cell. This dispatches the two main color waves up the dirt path in that order and clears the cat body and sky background together before the dark red 21 in the active row or the purple 5 in source row 2 is allowed onto the dirt path. Tap the dark red 21 and orange 34 in the active row only after the orange 35 and teal 31 waves have cleared.
Why does the purple 5 stack jam the route in Colony Flow Level 514?
The purple 5 stack in source row 2 column 2 is the first of two stacks that can clear the small detail accents, and the accents only sit in cells that are still open while the orange body and teal sky are clearing. If purple ants are sent before the orange 35 and teal 31 active row waves have at least started clearing their color regions, they stall on the remaining purple cells, the orange 40 stacks waiting in source rows 2 and 3 cannot reach the rest of the platform, and the late white chef hat refills that have to rise into the buffer pads get stranded behind active orange ants on the dirt path.
