Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 274 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 274 is a three-tier, twelve-position finale that hides its real chokepoint behind five locked wooden boxes in the middle tier and two "?" cap key bottles in the top tier. Pop the dark blue pos 2 key bottle onto the green box at mid pos 8 and the pink-capped pos 3 key bottle onto the purple box at mid pos 9 to release the first two hidden colors, then walk cyan pos 1, green pos 4 and pink pos 5 down onto the yellow, red and gray boxes to finish the unlock cascade. After the five vaults are open, route orange, red, yellow, purple and gray into their own stands on the middle tier, drain yellow out of the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11, catch brown in the bottom-right magic bottle at pos 12, and top off all twelve positions so each ends on a single color.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 274 — Full Solution
- Tap the dark blue "?" cap key bottle at top pos 2 and pour it onto the green box at mid pos 8 to crack that vault open and bank a blue segment on the middle tier — this is the first unlock and the only path to that box's hidden color.
- Tap the shorter pink-capped "?" cap key bottle at top pos 3 and pour it onto the purple box at mid pos 9 to release that hidden color, freeing top pos 3 as a fresh stand for the pink that comes off pos 5.
- Walk the full cyan bottle at top pos 1 down onto the yellow-fronted box at mid pos 7 to release yellow and start its lane on the middle tier; top pos 1 becomes a fresh stand for one of the magic-bottle handoffs.
- Pour the full green bottle at top pos 4 down onto the red-fronted wine crate at mid pos 6 to release red, leaving top pos 4 as a clean stand that the pink from pos 5 will move onto next.
- Tap the full pink bottle at top pos 5 and walk it onto the just-vacated top pos 4, then pour the full pink from the new pos 5 (originally pos 3) down onto the gray-fronted box at mid pos 10 to release gray and finish the unlock cascade — all five middle-tier boxes are now open.
- Route the released orange, red, yellow, purple and gray into their own stands on the middle tier using the now-empty top pos 1, pos 2 and pos 3 as scratch space, and pull the yellow segment out of the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 to start the yellow lane on the middle tier.
- Pull the brown tail from the top-tier green/pink sequence into the bottom-right magic bottle at pos 12, and let the brown ride there until every other stand is single-color.
- Top off cyan (top 1), green (top 2), pink (top 4), orange (mid 6), red (mid 7), yellow (mid 8), purple (mid 9), gray (mid 10) and brown (bottom 12) so all twelve positions end on a single color with the two white magic bottles locked onto their final colors.
Colors in this level:
Cyan, Blue, Pink, Green, Orange, Red, Yellow, Purple, Gray, Brown
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring the "?" cap key bottle at top pos 2 or pos 3 into a magic bottle or a wrong box, which strands blue or pink with no vault to unlock and leaves the green or purple box sealed.
- Pouring a non-yellow color into the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 before the yellow box at mid pos 7 is open, which locks the white flexible bottle into a two-color mix and leaves yellow with no clean home at the end.
- Walking cyan pos 1, green pos 4 or pink pos 5 into a magic bottle instead of onto a box, which strands that color away from its matching vault and stalls the unlock cascade before all five hidden colors are released.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 274 (spoiler-free)
- Pop the two "?" cap key bottles at top pos 2 and pos 3 first and pour them onto the green box at mid pos 8 and the purple box at mid pos 9 — those are the only two boxes whose hidden color is not already represented on the top tier.
- Keep the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 single-color until the yellow box at mid pos 7 is open and waiting, so yellow has a clean home to land on.
- Walk cyan pos 1, green pos 4 and pink pos 5 down onto the yellow, red and gray boxes in that exact order so the vacated top-tier stands stay in sequence for the magic-bottle handoffs.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- A three-tier, twelve-position board. The top tier is five bottles on light-blue stands — a full cyan at pos 1, a tall "?" cap key bottle with a dark blue body at pos 2, a shorter "?" cap key bottle with a small pink cap at pos 3, a full green at pos 4, and a full pink at pos 5. The middle tier is five locked wooden boxes, the two end boxes (pos 6 and pos 10) styled as wine crates and the three middle boxes (pos 7, 8, 9) as plain vaults, each showing a hidden color (orange, red, yellow, purple, gray) through the wood. The bottom tier is two white "?" cap magic bottles — a small yellow segment inside pos 11 and a dark/empty body at pos 12. Zero starting empties; every one of the twelve positions is occupied.
- Goal
- Pop the two "?" cap key bottles at top pos 2 and pos 3 onto the green and purple boxes at mid pos 8 and pos 9, then walk cyan pos 1, green pos 4 and pink pos 5 down onto the yellow, red and gray boxes at mid pos 7, pos 6 and pos 10 to release all five hidden colors. After the unlock cascade, route orange, red, yellow, purple and gray into their own stands on the middle tier, drain yellow out of the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 to start the yellow lane, catch brown in the bottom-right magic bottle at pos 12, and top off cyan, green, pink, orange, red, yellow, purple, gray and brown so all twelve positions end on a single color.
- Opening
- Tap the dark blue pos 2 key bottle and pour it onto the green box at mid pos 8 to crack that vault open and bank a blue segment on the middle tier. Tap the shorter pink-capped pos 3 key bottle and pour it onto the purple box at mid pos 9 to release that hidden color and free top pos 3 as a fresh stand. Walk the full cyan pos 1 down onto the yellow-fronted box at mid pos 7 to release yellow and start its lane. Pour the full green pos 4 down onto the red- fronted wine crate at mid pos 6 to release red onto a real stand. Pour the full pink pos 5 down onto the gray-fronted box at mid pos 10 to release gray and finish the unlock cascade.
- Danger Zone
- Pouring the "?" cap key bottles at top pos 2 or pos 3 onto the wrong box seals the wrong vault and burns the move — pos 2 is the only path to blue and pos 3 is the only path to the pink, so dumping either into a box that already has its matching color on the board strands the key. The bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 is the only yellow on the board, and pouring any other color into it first locks the white flexible bottle into a two-color mix the second magic bottle can no longer absorb, leaving yellow with no home at the end. The cyan pos 1 bottle is the only top-tier source of the box-unlock color for the green box at mid pos 8; pour it into a magic bottle or a wrong box and the unlock cascade stalls and the gray box at mid pos 10 stays sealed.
- Mechanics
- A three-tier finale with two "?" cap key bottles, five locked wooden boxes and two white magic bottles. The two key bottles at top pos 2 and pos 3 are the only path to the unlock colors for four of the five boxes (pos 8, pos 9, pos 7 and pos 10), and the two magic bottles at the bottom tier are the only flexible overflow for the seven unique colors that have to land on clean stands. The whole puzzle is sequence: pop the two keys onto the right vaults, release the five hidden colors onto the middle tier, then walk cyan, green, pink, orange, red, yellow, purple, gray and brown into single-color slots with the two white magic bottles catching the awkward tail-end merges.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do the five locked wooden boxes open in Magic Sort Level 274?
Each box at mid pos 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 opens when its matching color is poured onto it from a top-tier bottle. The green box at pos 8 takes the dark blue from the pos 2 "?" cap key bottle, the purple box at pos 9 takes the pink from the pos 3 key bottle, the yellow box at pos 7 takes the cyan from top pos 1, the red-fronted wine crate at pos 6 takes the green from top pos 4, and the gray-fronted box at pos 10 takes the pink from top pos 5. Pour the keys first so blue and pink reach their vaults before any other color is moved.
Why must the bottom-left magic bottle at pos 11 stay single-color until the yellow box is open?
Pos 11 is the only yellow on the board, and the yellow box at mid pos 7 needs that yellow poured onto it to release the vault. Pour any other color into pos 11 first and the white flexible bottle locks into a two-color mix the second magic bottle cannot absorb, so yellow ends the level with no clean home and the unlock cascade stalls.
