Magic Sort Level 271 Walkthrough

hard Target: 42 moves 8 colors

Magic Sort Level 271 is a three-tier, eleven-bottle finale that hides its real bottleneck behind two wooden cork boxes (both with blue padlocks) and two white "?" cap magic bottles. Bank blue on a clean magic bottle first, walk the padlocks in left-then-right order so the middle-left box releases the first hidden color and the top-right box releases the orange segment, then drain the seven mixers and both "?" caps top-first so all eleven positions end on a single color.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 271 — Full Solution

  1. Tap the left "?" cap magic bottle as scratch, pour the yellow top off the top-row middle bottle into the left magic bottle to start the yellow lane, then pour the red top off the top-row right bottle into the right "?" cap magic bottle to bank red.
  2. Peel the pink top off the middle-row pink/blue bottle into the left magic bottle to bank pink above the yellow, then pour the blue segment underneath onto the right magic bottle to start the blue lane.
  3. Pour the banked blue off the right magic bottle onto the middle-left cork box, the cork pops, and the first released color drops onto the middle-left slot — route that release into the freed-up pink/blue bottle and clear the right magic bottle for the second box.
  4. Pour the next available blue (peeled off the top-row left bottle) onto the top-right cork box, the cork pops, and the orange segment drops onto the top-right slot — dock that orange next to the first release to start the orange lane.
  5. Drain the middle-row purple/green and red/green mixers top-first into the magic bottles, peeling purple onto the left magic bottle and red onto the right magic bottle one segment at a time.
  6. Pour the green top off the rightmost middle bottle into the left magic bottle, then pour the red middle onto the right magic bottle, leaving just blue at the bottom of that bottle.
  7. Walk the banked blue off the right magic bottle onto the bottom blue segment so blue is finished, then pour the leftover dark and red off the top-row mixers into the freshly emptied magic bottles.
  8. Top off blue, red, yellow, pink, orange, purple, green, cyan and the second hidden color so all eleven bottles end on a single color with no mixed segments and no empty slots remaining.

Colors in this level:

Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple, Green, Pink, Orange, Cyan

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Pouring red, yellow or any non-blue color onto a cork padlock, which seals the cork shut and burns the move you needed to release the hidden color underneath.
  • Mixing two different colors into the same "?" cap magic bottle, which locks it from being used as overflow again and strands the second box's blue trigger.
  • Opening the top-right cork before the middle-left cork, which strands the first release on a buffer that is not yet ready to receive it.

Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 271 (spoiler-free)

  • Park the blue lane on a clean "?" cap magic bottle before pouring onto either cork — the second box needs that blue lane still parked when its turn comes.
  • Never mix two different colors into a single "?" cap magic bottle, or that bottle locks and the second box loses its overflow slot.
  • Pop the middle-left cork before the top-right one so the first release has somewhere to land while you are still building the right lane.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
A three-tier, eleven-bottle board. The top row opens with three tall mixed bottles stacked blue/red, yellow/red/blue and red/blue, and closes with a tall wooden cork box on the right with a tan cap and a small blue padlock. The middle row starts with a shorter wooden cork box on the left (same tan cap, same blue padlock), followed by four mixed bottles — a purple-over-green, a pink-over-blue, a red-over-green, and a green-over-red/blue. The bottom row is two wide white "?" cap magic bottles, both empty at the start. Seven mixers, two boxes, two magic bottles, eleven positions total, no wraps or frozen tiles.
Goal
Bank blue on a clean "?" cap magic bottle first, then pour that blue onto the middle-left cork to release the first hidden color into the middle row. Pour the next banked blue onto the top-right cork to release the orange segment, then drain the seven mixers and the two "?" caps top-first so all eleven positions end on a single color with no empty slots and no mixed stacks left over.
Opening
Tap the left "?" cap magic bottle as scratch, pour the yellow top off the top-row middle bottle into the left magic bottle to start the yellow lane, then pour the red top off the top-row right bottle into the right "?" cap magic bottle to bank red. Peel the pink top off the middle-row pink/blue bottle into the left magic bottle to bank pink above the yellow, then pour the blue segment underneath onto the right magic bottle to start the blue lane. The first cork trigger: pour the banked blue onto the middle-left cork box to release the first hidden color.
Danger Zone
Pouring red, yellow or any non-blue color onto either cork padlock seals the cork shut and burns a move that the level cannot undo — both boxes only pop on their exact blue trigger. Mixing two different colors into a single "?" cap magic bottle locks it from being used as overflow again, so the moment yellow and red share one magic bottle, the right-side "?" cap can no longer hold the blue lane and the second box loses its release. The middle-left box must pop before the top-right box, because the top-right release lands on a slot that only the first release's absorption frees up.
Mechanics
A two-cork release finale wrapped around two "?" cap magic bottles on a tight eleven-bottle board. Every color the boxes need to release has to be routed through a magic bottle that has not yet been mixed, so the chokepoint is cork-first, magic-second: bank blue on a clean magic bottle before touching either box, walk the padlocks in left-then-right order, and let each release land on a freshly emptied slot before continuing the rest of the sort.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you open the two wooden cork boxes in Magic Sort Level 271?

Bank the blue lane on a clean "?" cap magic bottle first, then pour that blue onto the middle-left cork, the cork pops, and the first released color drops onto the middle-left slot — absorb that release into the freed-up pink/blue bottle. Pour the next banked blue onto the top-right cork to release the orange segment, and dock that orange next to the first release to start the orange lane.

  • Why must the two corks pop in left-then-right order on this level?

The top-right box's release lands on a slot that only the first release's absorption has freed up. If the player opens the top-right box first, the orange has nowhere clean to dock and the right-side "?" cap magic bottle is still mid-stack, so the second box's pour strands the orange on a buffer that cannot absorb it.
