Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 315 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 315 is a two-tier release-and-route board with four red paper-wrapped mystery corks at T1 (wide two-cell), B3, B4 and B5 as the only special tile, one starting empty at T2, and two '?' bands on the T4 and T5 bodies. Pop the wide T1 cork first with red to free the scratch flask at T2, pop B3, B4 and B5 in sequence with the matching top color from each surviving mixer, park every wrap's base segment into T2 between reveals, then drain T4 and T5 top-first so the nine unique colors that surface all land on single bottles.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 315 — Full Solution
- Lift the red-on-gray T4 mixer, pour its red top onto the wide T1 red paper-wrapped mystery cork to pop the first wrap, and let the wrap open into the freed T1 cell with a single gray base layer.
- Pour the now-exposed gray base of T4 into the transparent T2 empty to start a one-color gray receiver, then lift the red-on-blue T5 mixer.
- Pour T5's red top onto the freed T1 cell so T1 holds two reds, pour T5's blue base onto the matching blue base at T3 to grow the blue anchor lane, and use the freed T2 as the scratch flask for the next three wrap pops.
- Pop the B3 wrap with the matching top color from a surviving mixer, pour the wrap's base segment into T2 to keep T2 single-color, then repeat for B4 and B5 in any order so all four wraps are cleared before the rest of the sort.
- Drain the three-color B1 mixer top-first into the freed wrap cells and T2 — pour the blue top onto the blue anchor at T3, the dark-brown middle onto the freed T1 cell or T2, and the red base onto the red anchor at T1.
- Drain T4 and T5 top-first now that both '?' bands are cleared — pour the red tops onto the red anchor at T1, the gray base onto the gray anchor at T2, the blue base onto the blue anchor at T3, and top off every lane.
- Top off pink, purple, cyan, yellow, orange, green and any remaining dark-brown segment by walking the loose top colors from the freed wrap cells onto the matching under-color lanes, using T2 as a one-color shuttle.
- Clear every temporary buffer onto its matching stack and top off each lane so the board ends with nine full single-color bottles and the T2 empty plus the two freed second cells finish empty.
Colors in this level:
Blue, Red, Gray, Brown, Pink, Purple, Cyan, Yellow, Orange, Green
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring two different colors into the single starting empty at T2 between wrap pops, which strands the next wrap's base segment on a dirty buffer and burns the only scratch flask on the board.
- Pouring the wrong top color onto T4 or T5 before the wrap cascade has matched the '?' band, which leaves the hidden under-color sealed under the body and forces a restart of the wrap pops.
- Dumping two reds into the wide T1 wrap in a single pour, which strands the second red on a hidden layer you cannot see and locks T1 on a two-color stack instead of a clean red anchor.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 315 (spoiler-free)
- Pop the wide T1 red paper-wrapped mystery cork first with the red top of T4, so the only working buffer at T2 becomes a real scratch flask for the next three wrap pops.
- Treat the single empty at T2 as a one-color scratch flask at all times — pour one wrap's base into it, pour that base back out onto a real anchor the moment a matching lane opens, and never let T2 carry two different colors.
- Drain T4 and T5 top-first only after both '?' bands are cleared by a matching pour, otherwise the hidden under-color stays sealed under the body and the wrap cascade has to restart.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Two tiers, no locks, corks, boxes, key tags, frozen tiles or white magic flasks. The top row is a wide red paper-wrapped mystery cork at T1 (occupies two slots), a transparent starting empty at T2, a four-segment T3 with a blue base and a faint '?' band on the lower half, a four-segment T4 red-on-gray two-color mixer with a faint '?' mark on the gray body, and a four-segment T5 red-on-blue two-color mixer with a faint '?' mark on the blue body. The bottom row is a four-segment three-color B1 (blue over dark-brown over red), a full four-segment B2 red, and three red paper-wrapped mystery corks at B3, B4 and B5. The wide T1 wrap is the most visually dominant feature on the board, the four-segment three-color B1 mixer is the most visually striking single bottle, and the two '?' bands on T4 and T5 are the only hidden-color markers on the visible board.
- Goal
- Pop the four red paper-wrapped mystery corks one by one with the right matching top color, crack the two '?' bands on T4 and T5 to release the hidden under-color underneath, then merge the nine unique colors that surface (blue, red, gray, dark brown, pink, purple, cyan, yellow, orange, green) into single bottles so the board finishes with nine full single-color lanes and the three leftover cells (the T2 empty, the freed T1 second cell, and the freed B5 second cell) end empty. The first real unlock is the very first matching pour onto the wide T1 wrap with the red top of T4: once T1 pops, the empty T2 buffer becomes the working scratch flask for the rest of the wrap clears.
- Opening
- Lift the four-segment red-on-gray T4 mixer, pour its red top segment onto the wide T1 red paper-wrapped mystery cork to pop the first wrap and drop a single gray base layer into the freed T1 cell, then pour the now-exposed gray base of T4 into the transparent T2 empty to start a one-color gray receiver. With T1 popped, lift the four-segment red-on-blue T5 mixer, pour its red top segment onto the freed T1 cell so T1 holds two reds, and pour the now-exposed blue base of T5 onto the matching blue base at T3 to grow the blue anchor lane. Use the freed T2 empty as the scratch flask and pop the next three wraps (B3, B4, B5) in any order, each time pouring the matching top color from a surviving mixer onto the wrap and parking the loose base segment into T2 between reveals so T2 always holds one color.
- Danger Zone
- The starting empty at T2 is the only working buffer on the board, and every wrap pop has to pour its base segment into T2 between reveals. If T2 ends up holding two different colors, the next wrap pop strands its base on a dirty buffer and you lose the only slot that can absorb the next wrap's pour. T4 and T5 are the second trap because they each carry a '?' band on the body: pour the wrong top color onto them and the '?' stays sealed, the hidden under-color never enters the sort, and you have to start the wrap cascade over again. The wide T1 wrap is the third trap: pour red onto T1 and the wrap opens one cell at a time, so dumping two reds into T1 in a single pour strands the second red on a hidden layer you cannot see.
- Mechanics
- A two-tier release-and-route board with no locks, corks, boxes, key tags, frozen tiles or white magic flasks. The only special bottle type is the four red paper-wrapped mystery corks at T1 (wide two-cell), B3, B4 and B5 (single-cell each), which start with their inner color hidden behind a red paper wrap, accept one matching pour from the top, and pop with a wrap-falls-away animation to release the inner color as a fresh working bottle. The two '?' bands on T4 and T5 have to be matched against the wrap colors so the hidden under-color can enter the sort, and the single starting empty at T2 is the only working buffer that cycles through the four wrap pops. The chokepoint is wrap-pop order plus T2 discipline: pop T1 first with red to free the scratch flask, then pop B3, B4 and B5 in sequence with the matching top color from the surviving mixers, park every wrap's base segment into T2, then drain T4 and T5 top-first so the nine unique colors that surface all end on single bottles.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do the red paper-wrapped mystery corks work in Magic Sort Level 315?
Each red paper-wrapped mystery cork at T1 (wide two-cell), B3, B4 and B5 starts with its inner color hidden behind a red paper wrap. Pour the matching top color from a surviving mixer onto the wrap, the wrap falls away with a small paper-dissolve animation, and the freed cell becomes a regular working bottle with a single color layer. T1 pops first with the red top of T4, then B3, B4 and B5 pop in any order, and the freed cells become anchor lanes for the sort.
Why is the starting empty at T2 the chokepoint in Level 315?
There is exactly one working buffer on the board at the start, and every wrap pop has to pour its base segment into T2 between reveals. If T2 ends up holding two different colors, the next wrap pop strands its base with no clean home, the freed wrap cell locks on a two-color stack, and the rest of the sort loses the only slot that can absorb the next pour. Keep T2 single-color at all times — pour one wrap's base in, pour that base back out onto a real anchor the moment a matching lane opens, and never let T2 carry two colors at once.
