Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 355 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 355 is a two-tier, fourteen-slot paint-can sort board with five top flasks (T1 green, T2 blue, T3 empty, T4 empty, T5 cyan), five middle flasks (M1 green-purple, M2 blue, M3 brown, M4 brown, M5 cyan-orange-red) and four bellied pink-white Sprühdose in the bottom row. Pour M1's top green onto T1 to start a green lane, pour M1's now-exposed purple onto T4 to start a purple lane, pour T2's blue onto T3 to start a blue lane, then drain M5 top-first (cyan onto the parked T5 cyan, orange onto a Sprühdose-primed orange lane, red onto a Sprühdose-primed red lane), fire the four Sprühdose onto the right targets to neutralize the M5 tail plus the brown and blue duplicates, and top off the nine colors (orange, blue, red, cyan, green, brown, purple, yellow, pink) so the board ends with nine full single-color main lanes plus the four Sprühdose cans turned into single-color paint lanes plus one or two leftover empty flasks.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 355 — Full Solution
- Pour M1's top green onto T1 (the parked green destination in the top row) so T1 grows into a two-layer green lane and M1 collapses down to a single purple layer — this is the only green-on-green pairing on the board and the only way to start a clean green lane without spending a Sprühdose.
- Pour M1's now-exposed purple onto T4 (the empty in the top row) so T4 starts a purple lane and M1 becomes a clean working empty in the middle row — purple has no other home on the board and T4 is the only place it can land.
- Pour T2's blue onto T3 (the other top-row empty) so T3 starts a blue lane and T2 collapses to a clean working empty — blue is duplicated with M2, so starting the second blue lane at T3 now gives the player two parked blues to drain M2 and any blue tail later.
- Pour M5's top cyan onto the parked T5 cyan so T5 grows into a two-layer cyan lane and M5 collapses down to an orange-over-red two-segment mixer — cyan has only one home at T5, so it has to land on T5 before any other cyan move.
- Drag the first Sprühdose onto M5 to paint the exposed orange top a clean orange (or onto a parked orange destination) so the M5 orange tail is neutralized and M5 collapses down to a single red layer, then pour M5's exposed red onto a Sprühdose-primed red lane or onto a parked red destination so M5 collapses to a clean working empty.
- Pour M3's brown onto the M4 brown (both are duplicates) so brown stacks into a single two-layer brown lane and M3 becomes a clean working empty, then pour M2's blue onto the parked T3 blue so T3 grows into a two-layer blue lane and M2 collapses to a clean working empty.
- Drag the remaining three Sprühdose onto the parked orange, red and pink destinations (or onto any tail color that needs neutralizing) so each Sprühdose becomes a single-color paint lane that joins the sort, then walk the freed T2 working empty onto a parked matching lane.
- Top off the nine colors (orange, blue, red, cyan, green, brown, purple, yellow, pink) so the board ends with nine full single-color main lanes plus the four Sprühdose cans turned into single-color paint lanes plus one or two leftover empty flasks, and make sure the last cleared empty is the slot that finishes empty.
Colors in this level:
Orange, Blue, Red, Cyan, Green, Brown, Purple, Yellow, Pink
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring a Sprühdose onto a non-target bottle first (firing yellow onto a bottle that already has a yellow base) which wastes one of the four neutralizing cans and strands the M5 tail or a duplicate-color home for the rest of the run.
- Pouring T1's green onto M1 (instead of pouring M1's green onto T1) which stacks two greens in M1 and leaves the duplicate green at M1-top stranded on a bottle that already has the same color, costing an extra pour to peel back off.
- Pouring M5's exposed red onto a non-red destination once cyan and orange are out, which strands the M5 red base because red has only one home on the board and a mis-pour burns the only red path.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 355 (spoiler-free)
- Pour M1's top green onto T1 first and M1's now-exposed purple onto T4 second, because T1 is the only green destination that already holds green and T4 is the only empty that can start a purple lane — purple has no other home on the board.
- Fire the four Sprühdose onto the M5 cyan-orange-red tail and the brown + blue duplicates in the order the tail exposes (orange after cyan is parked, red after orange is parked), because each can has a single paint load and a wasted shot strands one of the four neutralizing moves.
- Keep the duplicate-color homes separate: M3 + M4 are the only two browns, T2 + M2 are the only two blues, and T1 + M1-top are the only two greens, so never pour a duplicate color onto a non-duplicate buffer or one of the two homes strands for the rest of the run.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- A two-tier, fourteen-slot board with five tall flasks on the top row, five tall flasks on the middle row, and four bellied pink-white spray-paint cans (Sprühdose) parked in the bottom row. The top row is T1 = green single layer on a dark base, T2 = blue single layer, T3 = empty, T4 = empty, and T5 = cyan single layer on a dark base. The middle row is M1 = green-over-purple two-segment mixer, M2 = blue single layer, M3 = brown single layer, M4 = brown single layer, and M5 = cyan-over-orange-over-red three-segment mixer (cyan on top, orange middle, red base). The four Sprühdose in the bottom row are the only special tile on the board — no corks, wraps, wooden boxes, frost locks or magic bottles — and each starts as a pink-white bellied can with a small star paint-icon on the body and a charge of paint loaded (yellow and pink loads visible across the run). There are exactly two true starting empties (T3 and T4), no corked or frozen flasks, and the duplicate-color starter is the M3 + M4 brown pair plus the T2 + M2 blue pair plus the T1 + M1-top green pair, so the board has three colors that appear twice in the starting line-up. The most visually dominant starter is the M5 cyan-orange-red three-segment mixer in the middle-right because it carries three different colors and is the only bottle on the board that holds both red and orange, and the second most dominant is the row of four pink-white Sprühdose in the bottom row because they dictate the rest of the run.
- Goal
- Fire the four Sprühdose onto the right targets to neutralize the awkward M5 cyan-orange-red tail plus the brown and blue duplicates, then drain every mixer top-first so the board ends with nine full single-color main lanes (orange, blue, red, cyan, green, brown, purple, yellow, pink) plus the four Sprühdose cans turned into single-color paint lanes plus one or two leftover empty flasks. The chokepoint is Sprühdose targeting: the M5 cyan-orange-red mixer ends in a red base, and once cyan and orange are poured out the exposed red has to land on a matching red destination or on a Sprühdose that has just been primed red, so using a Sprühdose on a non-red bottle when the M5 red base still has to come out strands the only red home. The second chokepoint is the two browns at M3 and M4 plus the two blues at T2 and M2 plus the two greens at T1 and M1-top, because each duplicate pair shares a destination and any pour that lands a duplicate color on a non-duplicate buffer strands one of the two homes for that color.
- Opening
- Start with the M1 green-over-purple mixer. Pour M1's top green onto T1 (the only green destination that already holds green) so T1 grows into a two-layer green lane and M1 collapses down to a single purple layer, then pour M1's now-exposed purple onto T4 (the empty in the top row) so T4 starts a purple lane and M1 becomes a clean working empty in the middle row. Pour T2's blue onto T3 (the other top-row empty) so T3 starts a blue lane and T2 collapses to a clean working empty. With T1, T3 and T4 holding single-color greens, blues and purples, the player has three parked top-row lanes plus the freed M1 and T2 as five working spots to peel the remaining mixers top-first.
- Danger Zone
- Pouring a Sprühdose onto a non-target bottle first (firing yellow onto a bottle that already has a yellow base) is a wasted shot, and the level only gives the player four cans to neutralize the awkward M5 cyan-orange-red tail plus the brown and blue duplicates, so a wasted shot strands one of the four neutralizing moves for the rest of the run. The second trap is pouring T1's green onto M1 (instead of pouring M1's green onto T1) — T1 is the only green that can start a clean green lane, and pouring T1's green into M1 just stacks two greens in M1 and leaves the duplicate green at M1-top stranded on a bottle that already has the same color, which costs an extra pour to peel back off. The third trap is pouring M5's exposed red onto a non-red destination once cyan and orange are out, because red has only one home on the board and a mis-pour strands the M5 red base. The fourth trap is dumping the M3 brown onto a buffer that already holds a different brown, because M3 and M4 are the only two browns on the board and a mismatched pour strands one of the two brown lanes.
- Mechanics
- A two-tier, fourteen-slot paint-can sort board whose only special tile type is the four Sprühdose in the bottom row. Each Sprühdose is a bellied pink-white can with a small star paint-icon on the body and a charged paint load (yellow or pink visible in the run); when dragged over a bottle the can fires its paint and the target bottle grows a new top layer of that paint color, and the can itself becomes a single-color filled paint lane that joins the sort. The chokepoint is Sprühdose targeting plus duplicate-color discipline: peel M1's green onto T1 first and M1's purple onto T4 second to start two parked top-row lanes, park T2's blue on T3 to start a third parked top-row lane, drain M5 top-first (cyan onto the parked T5 cyan, orange onto a Sprühdose-primed orange lane, red onto a Sprühdose-primed red lane), fire the four Sprühdose onto the right targets in the order the M5 tail exposes, and top off the nine colors (orange, blue, red, cyan, green, brown, purple, yellow, pink) so the board ends with nine full single-color main lanes plus the four Sprühdose cans turned into single-color paint lanes plus one or two leftover empty flasks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the very first pour in Magic Sort Level 355?
Pour M1's top green onto T1 (the parked green destination in the top row) so T1 grows into a two-layer green lane and M1 collapses down to a single purple layer. T1 is the only green destination that already holds green, and this is the only way to start a clean green lane without spending a Sprühdose on a color that already has a parked destination. Pouring T1's green into M1 first just stacks two greens in M1 and strands the duplicate green at M1-top, so the first move has to be M1's green onto T1.
How do the four Sprühdose work in Magic Sort Level 355?
Each Sprühdose is a bellied pink-white can with a small star paint-icon on the body and a charged paint load (yellow or pink visible across the run); when dragged over a bottle the can fires its paint and the target bottle grows a new top layer of that paint color, and the can itself becomes a single-color filled paint lane that joins the sort. Fire the four cans onto the M5 cyan-orange-red tail and the brown + blue duplicates in the order the tail exposes: paint orange after cyan is parked at T5, paint red after orange is parked, then use the last two cans on any remaining awkward tail. Pouring a Sprühdose onto a bottle that already matches its paint is a wasted shot, because the level only gives four cans to neutralize the entire M5 tail plus the duplicate-color homes.
Why are M3 and M4 both brown in Magic Sort Level 355?
M3 and M4 are the only two browns on the whole board, so they are the duplicate-color home for brown and any brown pour has to land on a buffer that already holds brown or be paired with the other brown. Pour M3's brown onto the M4 brown so brown stacks into a single two-layer brown lane and M3 becomes a clean working empty; pouring M3's brown onto a non-brown buffer strands one of the two brown homes for the rest of the run. The same rule applies to the T2 + M2 blue pair and the T1 + M1-top green pair, so always pair the duplicates before pouring them onto a different color.
