Limited-time event guide
Halloween — The Fright Shop
The Fright Shop is a hard Halloween Rooms & Exits event that moves from a costume-and-mask shop into a green-tiled stock room: inspect the shop clues, arrange colored mannequin heads, mix paints, and complete the final pumpkin and alphabet sequence before using the exit.

How to Approach Halloween — The Fright Shop
- Search the front shop's witch display, colored buckets, pumpkins, counter, glass cabinet, costume racks, and mask/coffin wall; examine the paper in Inventory and use its visible 51289 clue on the cabinet's five wheels.
- Inspect the opened glass cabinet and use or combine the newly exposed inventory items as required, then continue through the skull-marked inner route into the green-tiled stock room.
- Read the four-face color reference and arrange the shelf mannequin heads by the combined hair-and-eye pattern; use the illuminated alphabet/letter clue and the three-column numeric lock to advance the wooden wardrobe sequence.
- At the chemistry table, apply the card's yellow-plus-red and blue-plus-yellow formulas, then use the resulting orange and green states to complete the skeleton/wardrobe mechanism.
- Solve the late pumpkin-face ordering and alphabet close-up, use the key to follow the exit-side route, and continue until the source displays LEVEL COMPLETED!.
Common Sticking Points
- Do not read a random neighboring row from the five-wheel lock: examine the paper first, because the source-run clue is 51289.
- Do not arrange the mannequin heads by hair color alone or skip the paint card; both the face reference and the two visible color formulas control the later stock-room chain.
Quick Tips
- Examine the paper in Inventory; the source run visibly shows 51289 for the first five-wheel cabinet lock.
- Use the four-face color panel as the reference for the shelf of mannequin heads; match eye color and hair appearance together.
- Inspect the alphabet wall, wooden wardrobe, pumpkin shelves, and chemistry table in the stock room instead of treating them as scenery.
- Follow the paint card exactly: yellow plus red makes orange, and blue plus yellow makes green.
- Leave the final pumpkin-face and alphabet panels until the preceding wardrobe/paint chain has opened the route forward.
Evidence-backed scene notes
- Scene
- The opening shop has a blue entrance door, a cloaked figure, a TRICK OR TREAT sign over three witch mannequins with colored buckets, a front counter with jars and a glass cabinet, clothing racks, pumpkins, a red-dressed mannequin, a pumpkin-headed scarecrow, a werewolf, a skeleton, a dense mask wall, and open coffins. The stock room adds a light-strung alphabet wall, a locked wooden wardrobe, a four-face reference panel, shelves of wigs and masks, orange pumpkins, a chemistry workbench, boxes, a coffin, and a dark exit-side doorway.
- Goal
- Follow the clue chain from the front-shop paper and cabinet through the mannequin-head arrangement, alphabet and numeric locks, color-mixing table, skeleton wardrobe, and final pumpkin/letter panels until the exit produces the visible LEVEL COMPLETED! state.
- Opening clues
- The opening screen identifies The Fright Shop as a Halloween challenge. The first playable view is a connected costume shop with a skull-marked inner door; the early search area includes the witch display, colored buckets, counter, glass cabinet, paper clue, pumpkins, and mask/coffin wall.
- Puzzle direction
- Inventory inspection and item use, a five-wheel number lock, colored-face mannequin arrangement, illuminated alphabet and yes/no-style letter clues, a three-column numeric lock, a locked skeleton wardrobe, color mixing at a beaker table, and pumpkin-face ordering.
- Sticking point
- Examine the paper in Inventory before reading the neighboring wheels on the five-digit lock, use both hair and eye colors when matching the four-face reference to mannequin heads, and follow the two formulas on the paint card. The pumpkin and alphabet close-ups are late clues, not decorative filler.
Frequently Asked Questions
What code opens the first glass cabinet?
Examine the paper in Inventory. In the reviewed source run it visibly reads 51289; enter that five-digit clue on the cabinet lock rather than copying a partially visible neighboring wheel row.
How do I solve the mannequin-head display?
Open the four-face color reference beside the wooden wardrobe and match the shelf heads using both their hair appearance and colored eyes. The reference is the arrangement clue; tapping heads by hair alone is insufficient.
What is the paint table for?
Read the card at the workbench: yellow plus red produces orange, while blue plus yellow produces green. Use those mixed colors in the skeleton/wardrobe sequence, then return to the pumpkin and alphabet panels for the final exit chain.
