Sand Blocks level guide
Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 449 Walkthrough
Level 449 starts with a red shutter marked 4 above a dense lower grid of numbered purple and white receivers. Keep the central opening clear while the lower pieces reduce the shutter through 2 and 1, then use the newly exposed upper chamber for the final green, blue and cyan cleanup.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 449 — Full Solution
- At about 1:45, clear the short purple and white receivers around the lower-left and lower-centre cells. Start with the pieces that reduce the visible numbers and open the centre.
- Work the small right-side purple pieces and the red receiver along the right edge. Keep the central vertical opening free so the next receiver can pass between the two board sections.
- Move the medium purple and white pieces through the lower lanes one at a time. Let each receiver reach 100% and disappear before reusing its cells.
- Keep the long cyan receiver in the lower centre until the nearby numbered pieces have gone. Do not place it across the central opening while the red shutter still reads 4.
- Continue the lower-grid clears until the red shutter drops through 2 and then 1. Preserve both side lanes while the shutter is counting down.
- When the shutter disappears at about 0:47, route the remaining green and blue receivers into the exposed upper chamber. Use the left and right hopper sides separately rather than crossing the fresh feed.
- Clear the upper green pieces first, then bring the blue receiver under the right-side hopper. Let the sand settle before moving the remaining cyan receiver from the lower centre.
- Finish the last purple, cyan and blue pieces in their open lanes. The board clears near the end of the timer and enters the Sand Blocks completion transition.
Colors in this level:
Green, Blue, Purple, White, Red, Cyan
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Parking the long purple or cyan receiver across the central opening while the red shutter is still counting down.
- Treating the red 4 shutter as a receiver instead of clearing the numbered lower pieces that reduce it.
- Moving the blue receiver before the upper green feed has settled, which leaves the late cyan receiver without a clear landing lane.
Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 449 (quick clues)
- Clear the short numbered purple and white pieces around the lower centre before moving the long cyan receiver.
- Keep the central opening free while the red shutter drops from 4 to 1.
- After the shutter disappears, route green and blue separately through the upper chamber before the final cyan clear.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Portrait board with an upper chamber and a separate lower receiver grid divided by a central vertical opening. Green and blue hoppers sit above a red shutter marked 4. The lower grid starts packed with purple and white receivers carrying visible values such as 22, 19, 16, 14, 11, 7, 4 and 3; a red receiver occupies the right edge and a cyan receiver sits near the lower centre.
- Goal
- Clear the numbered purple and white pieces around the lower grid without sealing the central opening, lower the red shutter from 4 through 2 and 1, then route the remaining green, blue and cyan receivers through the exposed upper chamber.
- Opening
- Start with the short purple and white receivers around the lower-left and lower-centre cells, then work the right-edge red lane. Keep the long cyan receiver in the lower centre until the surrounding numbered pieces have cleared; the red shutter is a gate, not a draggable receiver.
- Danger Zone
- A long purple or cyan footprint across the central vertical opening blocks the lower feed and leaves the right-edge red receiver without a landing cell. Preserve both side lanes while the shutter is counting down.
- Mechanics
- A counted red shutter controls access to a second upper chamber. The first phase is a dense lower grid of numbered purple and white pieces; after the shutter disappears, green, blue and cyan receivers use the newly opened upper space.
Frequently Asked Questions
What opens the upper chamber?
Clear the numbered purple and white receivers in the lower grid until the red shutter falls through 2 and 1 and disappears.
Where should the long cyan receiver wait?
Keep it in the lower centre until the nearby numbered pieces are gone. Moving it across the central opening too early blocks the lower feed.
What is the final order?
After the shutter disappears, route the green and blue hopper pieces through the upper chamber, then finish the remaining cyan and purple pieces in the open lanes.
