Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 45 Walkthrough

expert 9 colors

Level 45 locks one yellow L behind five silver-key receivers. Spend cyan vertical, magenta vertical, and magenta bar first; then finish magenta L and blue L from 98% and 99% to open the lock and clear yellow.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 45 — Full Solution

  1. Keep the locked yellow L at upper-left and drag the cyan vertical key receiver beneath the right cyan outlet.
  2. At 100% the cyan key vertical disappears; verify its silver key changes the yellow lock from 5 to 4.
  3. Move the plain cyan horizontal receiver into the upper-right lane and clear exposed cyan without changing the lock.
  4. Raise the orange vertical under the left chamber's orange half long enough to open the center crossing while keeping both magenta key pieces reachable.
  5. Lift the lower-right magenta vertical key receiver through the right lane and place it beneath the exposed pink spill.
  6. Hold that magenta vertical to 100%; after it disappears, its key changes the yellow lock from 4 to 3.
  7. Fit the blue key L around the fixed center square and prefill it from blue to 49%, then move it away without spending its key.
  8. Slide the magenta horizontal key bar from the lower field to the upper-left pink outlet with its two-cell footprint level.
  9. Hold the magenta bar to 100%; after it disappears, its key changes the yellow lock from 3 to 2.
  10. Place the green J beneath the left chamber's green half and drain it with the short arm at the mouth; the lock stays 2.
  11. Return the orange vertical beneath the left chamber's orange half and drain that slope until the gray chamber is empty.
  12. Clear the tall purple vertical from the left purple pocket, then fit the red L around the fixed square beneath the upper red slope.
  13. Return the blue key L to the exposed blue ridge and stop at 99%, leaving it alive in the lower-right while the lock remains 2.
  14. Route the magenta key L from lower-left through the center and fill it from the final pink ridge to 98%.
  15. Place the red L's horizontal arm beneath the upper-left red ridge and its vertical arm right of the fixed square; hold it until red sand and receiver disappear without disturbing the tail.
  16. Verify yellow L is locked at 2 on the lower-right, magenta L is 98% above-left, and blue L is 99% below-left.
  17. Fill the magenta L to 100%; its disappearance and key flight change the yellow lock from 2 to 1.
  18. Fill the blue L from 99% to 100%; its disappearance and separate key flight change the yellow lock from 1 to open.
  19. Keep the unlocked yellow L beneath the right yellow chamber, hold both arms under the fall through 79%, and let the final grains remove it.
  20. Confirm confetti starts after yellow disappears; the empty end frame keeps only the fixed lavender square and empty gray chamber frames.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Trying to collect yellow before the 5-key lock has fully disappeared.
  • Covering a side chamber with a large L while its two colors are still settling.
  • Counting the blue L's 49% prefill as a spent key even though it must survive to the final lock-1 feed.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 45 (quick clues)

  • Count completed key flights rather than pieces moved.
  • Leave both side-chamber mouths open while cycling the red L and green J.
  • Track cyan vertical, lower-right magenta vertical, magenta bar, magenta L, and blue L as five separate feeds.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Red, pink, blue, purple, and cyan sand surrounds a raised central shelf. A yellow L is locked at 5 beside red and green L/J pieces; orange/green and cyan/yellow side chambers flank a lower field of five key-bearing cyan, blue, and magenta receivers.
Goal
Send five silver keys to the yellow L, empty both side chambers, then let the unlocked yellow L collect the final right-side yellow sand and disappear before confetti.
Opening
Leave yellow at upper-left, fill the cyan key vertical at the right outlet, clear cyan with the plain bar, then lift the orange vertical toward the left chamber.
Danger Zone
The fixed center square splits the lanes. Blue L must stay alive after its 49% prefill and later 99% state; spending or miscounting it as an early key breaks the final pair.
Mechanics
Cyan vertical, magenta vertical, and magenta bar make 5 to 4 to 3 to 2; magenta L at 98% then blue L at 99% make 2 to 1 to open, after which yellow fills and disappears.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many keys unlock the yellow L?

Five: cyan vertical, lower-right magenta vertical, magenta horizontal bar, lower-left magenta L, and blue L.

  • Why does sand remain after the center looks clear?

The orange/green and cyan/yellow side chambers drain separately; the unlocked yellow L collects the last right-side yellow sand.
