How to Solve Zoodoku Level 13 — Full Solution
- Preserve the seeded penguins at r2c1, r5c8, and r7c3, plus opening Xs at r1c8-r4c8 and r5c1-r5c7.
- Place the main-green-region penguin at r4c2, keeping the lower green anchor at r7c3 separate.
- Place the brown-region penguin at r8c6; do not copy the red probe at r8c7.
- Place the central-purple-region penguin at r6c5; avoid the adjacent red probe at r6c6.
- Place the upper-plum-region penguin at r1c4. Leave the red orange probes r3c6 and r1c7 untouched.
- Finish the orange region at r3c7. The eighth animal slot is then filled and the source enters its leaderboard/reward transition.
Colors in this level:
Green, Plum, Orange, Purple, Pink, Blue, Brown
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Choosing r8c7 instead of r8c6 places a red error X beside the correct brown-region landing and costs a heart.
- Testing r3c6 or r1c7 instead of the demonstrated r3c7 burns additional hearts in the orange region; red error Xs are not logical white Xs.
Quick Tips for Zoodoku Level 13 (quick clues)
- After preserving r2c1, r5c8, and r7c3, take r4c2 and r8c6; leave the red-probe squares out of the route.
- Keep r3c7 for last. The nearby orange r3c6 and r1c7 are demonstrated red errors, not alternatives.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- The 8x8 opening has a green upper-left/main region, an upper plum block, a large orange right region, a central/lower purple field, a brown lower-right strip, and single-cell pink r2c1, blue r5c8, and lower-green r7c3 regions. Seeded penguins are at r2c1, r5c8, and r7c3. Opening white Xs are r1c8, r2c8, r3c8, r4c8, and r5c1-r5c7.
- Goal
- The key open territories after the three anchors are main green r4c2, brown r8c6, central purple r6c5, upper plum r1c4, and orange r3c7. Preserve r3c7 as the final orange row-and-column closure.
- Opening
- Keep the seeded penguins at r2c1, r5c8, and r7c3. The successful player order is r4c2, r8c6, r6c5, r1c4, then r3c7; white Xs that appear later are propagated, while red Xs at r8c7, r6c6, r3c6, and r1c7 are failed probes.
- Danger Zone
- The source's red-error squares are r8c7 beside the correct r8c6, r6c6 beside r6c5, and orange probes r3c6 and r1c7 before the correct r3c7. Do not copy these probes or confuse their red Xs with the opening white X wall.
- Mechanics
- This 8x8 level combines three fixed anchors, a long opening X wall, five successful placements, and four visible red-error probes that reduce the heart strip. The completed board transitions to the source leaderboard/reward state; animal species remain decorative.

Which X marks are opening marks in Level 13?
Opening white Xs are r1c8, r2c8, r3c8, r4c8, and the full run r5c1-r5c7. The red Xs at r8c7, r6c6, r3c6, and r1c7 appear only after failed probes.
