How to Solve Zoodoku Level 15 — Full Solution
- Preserve the seeded penguin at r3c7 and all opening Xs, especially the vertical r5c7-r9c7 run.
- Place the purple-singleton penguin at r5c2.
- Place the yellow-singleton penguin at r9c3.
- Place the blue-region penguin at r8c1.
- Place the green-region penguin at r7c4.
- Place the magenta-region penguin at r4c5.
- Do not copy the red probes at r6c6 and r1c9; place the upper-right magenta penguin at r2c9.
- Place the light-blue-region penguin at r6c8, the surviving right-lane square.
- Finish the brown region at r1c6. The ninth penguin triggers the source's Good state and the leaderboard/reward transition.
Colors in this level:
Brown, Magenta, Green, Purple, Light-blue, Blue, Yellow
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Choosing r6c6 instead of the demonstrated r6c8 consumes a heart and leaves the middle-right light-blue region unresolved.
- Choosing r1c9 instead of r2c9 produces the second red error; the correct upper-right magenta landing is one row higher at r2c9.
Quick Tips for Zoodoku Level 15 (quick clues)
- Take the small r5c2, r9c3, and r8c1 regions before the green r7c4 and magenta r4c5 placements.
- The final three are fixed in source order: r2c9, r6c8, then r1c6; do not copy r6c6 or r1c9.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- The 9x9 opening contains a broad brown upper field, magenta upper-right cells, a central magenta field, a green left/center region, light-blue right lanes, blue lower-left/right pockets, a purple singleton at r5c2, a yellow singleton at r9c3, and the seeded green animal at r3c7. Opening white Xs are r1c7, r2c6-r2c8, r3c1-r3c6 and r3c8-r3c9, r4c6-r4c8, and the vertical run r5c7-r9c7.
- Goal
- The seeded r3c7 animal creates the long column-seven wall. The decisive late targets are the upper-right magenta r2c9, the right-lane light-blue r6c8, and the upper brown r1c6; all three must remain available after the first five placements.
- Opening
- The only seeded animal is at r3c7. Successful placements begin r5c2, r9c3, r8c1, r7c4, and r4c5. The source then shows red probes at r6c6 and r1c9 before the successful closures r2c9, r6c8, and r1c6.
- Danger Zone
- The source's red error at r6c6 occurs before the correct light-blue r6c8 route, and the later red error at r1c9 occurs before r2c9. These red Xs consume hearts; keep them distinct from the opening white X wall, especially the column-seven run.
- Mechanics
- This 9x9 level combines one opening anchor, a long pre-crossed column, two observed red-error probes, and a late three-cell closure. The source finishes with all nine penguins and a green Good banner while one heart remains; animal species are decorative.
