Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 50 Walkthrough
Block Out Level 50 is the directional slider finale — no bosses, no counters, no devices. Tall arrow blocks packed into three columns can only slide in the direction their arrow points: blue and yellow bars go up, green blocks go down, red bars go left or right, and purple pushers fill the edges. The solve is about route order: free one vertical lane first, use the red horizontal bars as traffic controllers (not obstacles), and save the green and purple pieces for after the big bars have cleared.
Board Notes
- Layout
- Three columns of tall directional arrow blocks. Left column: long vertical blue bars with up-arrows. Center: tall yellow/orange bars with up-arrows. Right: green blocks with down-arrows. Horizontal red bars with left/right arrows cross the middle. Small purple push blocks with arrows sit at the edges. Right-side exit arrow visible. No boss frames, no counters — pure directional sliding.
- Goal
- Each arrow block can only slide in its marked direction. The puzzle is about sequencing: each block must leave in the right order so the next lane opens. The right side stays more congested than the left because the green down-arrows and purple pushers need the vertical bars to clear first.
- Opening
- Start by freeing the first long vertical lane — one blue or yellow bar slides up and out. The red horizontal bars should NOT both leave immediately. Use the first freed lane to shift one bar out, then keep the second red bar as a traffic controller.
- Danger Zone
- Emptying the wrong red horizontal bar first closes the lane a later vertical arrow block still needs. The red bars are traffic controllers — spending both too early removes that control.
- Mechanics
- Level 50 is a pure directional slider finale. It strips away every complexity layer (bosses, counters, devices) and tests pure route-order reasoning. The directional constraint — blocks only slide the way their arrow points — makes it fundamentally different from the free-slide puzzles in Levels 36 and 43.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 50 (spoiler-free)
- The red horizontal bars are traffic controllers, not obstacles — keep one in reserve until the verticals are mostly gone.
- Free one long vertical lane first. Do not clear both red bars immediately.
- Think in chain clears. The best move is the one that sets up the next two moves, not just the quickest current match.
How to Solve Block Out Level 50 — Full Solution
- Free the first long vertical lane by sliding one blue or yellow bar up and out.
- Use that opened lane to shift another yellow or blue arrow block out of the stack.
- Keep the right side from overfilling while the first red horizontal bar slides out.
- Open the second long lane only after the first side is calmer.
- Release the green down-arrow blocks after the vertical blockers are thinner.
- Use the purple push blocks late, once the big bars are already gone.
- Finish with the last red or green piece after the room is mostly empty.
Colors in this level:
Blue, Yellow, Green, Red, Purple
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Removing both red horizontal bars before the vertical lanes are ready — this removes your traffic control and the right side overfills.
- Trying to slide a green down-arrow block before the vertical bars above it have cleared, which jams the column.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the red horizontal bars important in Block Out Level 50?
They are traffic controllers. Each red bar manages which vertical lane is open for the next move. Spending both too early removes your ability to control lane flow, and the right side overfills.
What makes Level 50 different from the earlier sliding puzzles?
The directional arrows. Unlike Levels 36 and 43 where blocks could slide freely, Level 50 restricts each block to one direction only. This makes route order the entire puzzle.
