How to Solve Block Out Level 551 — Full Solution
- Clear the yellow L pieces from the bottom-left pocket, then move the blue L through the cells they free.
- Take the lower red and cyan horizontals in gate order and remove the framed cyan-red horizontal from the lower-right approach.
- Send the upper green hook toward the left green gate and clear the purple edge column to widen the bridge.
- Separate the nested blue and yellow hooks, then route the tall cyan vertical and short red horizontal out of upper center.
- Leave the bridge vacant while those exits reduce the orange 5-shutter and purple 3 chamber to zero.
- From the full-board reveal, clear upper blue/cyan shapes and lower yellow pieces, followed by the small green block.
- Move the remaining purple column and red side bars away from the left wall, then align the broad red stair below the top exit.
- Send the final red horizontals and stair upward through the red gate to empty the board.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Parking the long red horizontal across the only bridge before the blue L and cyan vertical have crossed.
- Opening the counters while the framed lower-right piece still occupies its narrow approach.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 551 (quick clues)
- Remove the framed lower-right horizontal before opening the main shutter.
- Keep the middle bridge empty until the broad red stair is aligned beneath the top gate.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- A notched two-pack board sits below an orange 5-shutter, with a separate purple 3 chamber on the upper right. Green, purple, red, blue, yellow, and cyan shapes crowd the upper pack while yellow L pieces and framed red/cyan traffic fill the lower pocket.
- Goal
- Drain both opening packs, reduce the 5 and 3 counters, then preserve the central transfer route through the large reveal so the final red stair shapes can reach the top exit.
- Opening
- Release the lower yellow pieces and blue L, remove the framed cyan-red horizontal at lower right, then clear the upper green hook and purple edge column before separating the nested blue/yellow hooks.
- Danger Zone
- A long red bar or yellow hook parked across the middle bridge blocks the blue L, cyan vertical, and later framed pieces from switching between the two pockets.
- Mechanics
- Two independent counters open successive board sections. The late reveal replaces the mixed-color traffic with broad red stair shapes that require the top approach.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should you clear first in Block Out Level 551?
Start with the lower yellow pieces and blue L, remove the framed lower-right horizontal, then work through the upper green, purple, blue, yellow, and cyan cluster.
Why does the last red stair get stuck?
It needs the full middle bridge and top approach, so any long bar left across center removes the width required to align it.
