How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 158 — Full Solution

  1. Tap green 40 first and wait for the lime ants to circle from the lower-left entry toward the central hole.
  2. Add green 36, then cyan 40 after the first green group has moved off the hole approach; keep the next green 40 moving with them.
  3. Send pale 35 and the next green/cyan counters, including green 15 / 17 / 26 and cyan 17, pausing whenever the lower-right corner holds two colors of ants.
  4. Start the body pass with orange 37 and orange 35, then route purple 25 / 26 against the frosting rim and straw-side outline while one buffer pad stays empty.
  5. Clear the pink center in separate groups: pink 40, pink 18, pink 20, and pink 20. Let each group reach the hole before opening the next so the frosting drips do not block the orange body.
  6. Return to the small cyan and green cleanup, including cyan 21 / 10 / 1 and green 8 / 7 / 5-size groups, to break the lower cyan band and side flower remnants.
  7. Use orange 28 / 27, purple 13 / 11, and pale 35 to strip the remaining cup body, top rim, and cream pixels. Pause once the image is reduced to separated frosting drips.
  8. Finish with purple 10 / 2, cyan 10 / 1, pale 16, green 5 / 2, and pink 12, then wait for the remaining pale 35 / 38 cells and the last ants to clear the rectangular frame.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Launching pink 40 and the pink 20 groups before the green side route and cyan lower band have opened, which queues frosting ants beside the cup and blocks the base.
  • Using all five white pads for the first green/cyan batches, leaving no staging space for pale 35 or the late white 34 / 38 cells.
  • Clicking a new small color while two ant trains are still crossing the lower hole, which turns the final one-digit cleanup into a perimeter traffic jam.

Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 158 (spoiler-free)

  • Lead with green 40, green 36, and cyan 40; the lime side route is the first safe lane.
  • Keep one white buffer pad free until the pale 35 and late white cells are visible.
  • Split the pink 40 / 18 / 20 / 20 family into measured waves instead of tapping the whole center at once.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
The pixel art shows a pink-frosted dessert cup or cupcake with a cyan straw, orange center, pale cream highlights, lime-green side fields, yellow-orange side pieces, cyan lower band, and small pink/orange flower-like clusters on both sides. Five white buffer pads start empty above the grid. The opening grid shows green 40, orange 37, green 36, purple 25; then green 40, purple 26, orange 35, pink 40; and cyan 40, pink 18, pink 20, pink 20. One ant hole sits below the rectangular frame.
Goal
Green stacks remove the lime sides and flower remnants, cyan clears the straw, cup edges, and bottom band, orange drains the cup body and side wedges, and purple/pink remove the frosting rim and lower drips. Pale white and yellow stacks finish the highlights and isolated border pixels. The board clears only after the large field traffic has opened room for the final mixed one-digit stacks.
Opening
Tap green 40 first and wait for the lime ants to leave the lower-left entry. Add green 36 and cyan 40 only as the first group passes the hole, then keep the next green 40 and pale 35 in the route. Purple 25 and the pink center wait until the green/cyan side and lower-band traffic has space.
Danger Zone
Starting pink 40, pink 26, and the two pink 20 stacks while green ants still fill the lower corners makes the frosting queue beside the cup and blocks cyan from the bottom band. Do not spend all five buffer pads on green/cyan groups; leave one for pale 35 or the later white 34 / 38 cleanup.
Mechanics
Layered dessert-cup routing with an outer-field opener. Green and cyan first clear the side and base, orange then opens the cup body, and purple/pink arrive in controlled frosting groups before a sparse pale-and-mixed finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does green 40 go before the pink frosting stacks in Level 158?

Green 40 opens the lime side field and establishes the first perimeter lane. Pink 40 and the pink 20 groups need that lane free; if they start first, they queue at the cup and stop cyan from reaching the bottom band.

  • When is it safe to use purple 25 and purple 26?

Use them after green/cyan traffic has passed the hole and orange 37 / 35 has started the cup-body route. Purple then removes the frosting rim without taking the only open buffer from the field opener.

  • What are the final small stacks for?

Purple 10 / 2, cyan 10 / 1, pale 16, green 5 / 2, and pink 12 are not spare setup pieces. They remove the isolated straw, side, frosting, and highlight pixels left after the main dessert-cup shapes have cleared.
