Colony Flow! Level 494 Walkthrough

hard 5 colors

Clear the fox-in-garden pixel art—orange fox body, pink flowers, green foliage—by routing brown stacks into the left brown hole and green stacks into the right green hole, while managing the large green (40) and pink (43) reserved-row stacks that share buffer space.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 494 — Full Solution

  1. Tap Brown (27) in the active row to dispatch brown ants along the left perimeter toward the brown hole, clearing brown sections of the pixel art.
  2. Once Brown (27) drops below 10, tap Brown (40) to continue routing brown cubes into the brown hole.
  3. When the Green (19) stack becomes the only active-row stack, tap it to begin routing green cubes toward the right green hole.
  4. Begin clearing the second-row stacks: Green (30) first, then Pink (43) to free buffer space for the reserved-row colors.
  5. Tap Orange (30) from the second row to clear the fox's orange body sections in the center of the pixel art.
  6. Clear the reserved-row stacks: Dark grey (28), Pink (30), Dark grey (20), and Green (20) as the board opens, routing each to its matching hole.
  7. Handle the hidden-row stacks (20, 30, ?, 25) as they appear, confirming the fox pixel art is fully revealed and the counter reaches zero.

Brown, Green, Pink, Orange, Dark grey

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Tapping Green (40) before Brown (27) and Brown (40) are depleted fills all buffer slots and stalls the brown routing lane.
  • Clearing Pink (43) before Green (30) is routed causes congestion at the shared buffer area between the two holes.
  • Filling buffer slots with Dark grey (28) before active-row colors are cleared blocks both brown and green routes.

Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 494 (spoiler-free)

  • Do not tap Green (40) or any reserved-row stack until both active-row Brown stacks (27 and 40) are fully depleted.
  • Keep the two empty buffer slots open for incoming color batches—filling them early with green cubes blocks brown routing.
  • Route brown stacks left and green stacks right; the split routing pattern means buffer slots are shared between two independent color routes.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Fox-in-garden pixel art with pink flowers (top corners), green trees/foliage (center sides), orange fox body (center), dark grey outlines, yellow ground, white background grid. Two holes: left brown (capacity 45), right green (capacity 106). White counter at center starts at 100. Active row: Green (19), Brown (27), Brown (40), empty, empty. Second row: Pink (43), Green (30), Dark grey (40), Orange (30). Third row: Dark grey (28), Pink (30), Dark grey (20), Green (20). Hidden row: partial stacks (20, 30, ?, 25).
Goal
Route all brown cubes into the left brown hole and green cubes into the right green hole to clear the board and reveal the fox-in-garden pixel art. The fox body and garden foliage clear progressively as cubes are routed. The white counter decrements as cubes leave the board.
Opening
Tap the Brown stack (27) first in the active row to dispatch brown ants along the left perimeter toward the brown hole, clearing brown sections and opening routing lanes for the second Brown (40) and Green (19) stacks.
Danger Zone
The Green (40) stack in the second row is large and must not be tapped before the active-row Brown stacks are depleted—filling buffer slots with green cubes too early blocks brown routing and stalls the board. The Dark grey (28) reserved-row stack should only be accessed after active-row colors are cleared.
Mechanics
Dual-hole routing board (brown left, green right) with fox-in-garden pixel art target. Brown ants route left, green ants route right. Pink and orange stacks have no dedicated holes and must be managed through buffer slots. The white counter provides real-time progress feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why start with Brown (27) instead of the larger Brown (40)?

Brown (27) is smaller and depletes faster, opening the brown routing lane sooner. Starting with Brown (40) would fill more buffer slots before the brown hole has capacity to absorb them.

  • What happens if Green (40) is tapped early?

The large Green stack fills all empty buffer slots, blocking incoming brown cubes and stalling the entire board until slots are freed by completing brown routing.

  • When should the hidden-row stacks be accessed?

Only after the active-row and second-row stacks are cleared. The hidden stacks (20, 30, ?, 25) appear as the board clears and should be handled last.
