Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 412 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 412 is a two-tier, twelve-bottle keychain-unlock + wrap sort with five clean single-color mixers (cyan, brown, pink, purple, orange) on the top row, a slim dark wrap at T2 as the only flex slot, a red-over-purple mixer at B1 as the only true mix, and a silver-keyed red bottle at B6 on the bottom row that has to be unlocked before it can be poured. Pour the red top off B1 onto the B6 keychain first so B6 unlocks, route the red base off B1 and the red tops off B2 onto the B6 red lane, peel the purple base off B1 into the T2 wrap, then drain the five clean single-color top mixers and the B3 gray, B4 cyan and B5 yellow mixers through the T2 wrap and the freed B6 slot.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 412 — Full Solution
- Pour the red top off B1 (red over purple) down onto the B6 silver keychain so the keychain falls off and B6 becomes a working red bottle with a red base.
- Pour the red top off B2 down onto the now-unlocked B6 red bottle, then pour the red base off B1 onto the B6 red lane so the only red source on the board collapses into a single red bottle and B1 becomes a clean buffer.
- Pour the purple base off B1 into the T2 slim dark wrap so the only purple source on the board is parked in the wrap, then keep the wrap strictly purple until the purple lane is ready to close.
- Pour the cyan top off B4 down onto the T1 cyan mixer, then pour the cyan base off B4 onto the T1 cyan lane so cyan banks to a full single-color bottle and B4 becomes a clean buffer.
- Pour the yellow top off B5 down onto the freed B4 buffer to start the yellow lane, then pour the yellow base off B5 onto the B4 yellow lane so yellow banks to a full single-color bottle and B5 becomes a clean buffer.
- Pour the brown tops off T3 down onto the freed B1 buffer, then pour the gray tops off B3 down onto the freed B5 buffer so gray banks to a full single-color bottle and B3 collapses into a clean slot.
- Pour the pink tops off T4 down onto the freed B3 buffer, then pour the purple off the T2 wrap onto the freed T2 slot so the wrap stays clean for the rest of the sort and purple banks to a full single-color bottle.
- Pour the orange tops off T6 down onto the freed T4 buffer, then top off red, cyan, yellow, brown, gray, pink, purple and orange each into a single bottle so all twelve positions end on a single color with no keychains left.
Colors in this level:
Cyan, Brown, Pink, Purple, Orange, Red, Gray, Yellow
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring any color other than red onto the B6 silver keychain, which keeps the keychain locked and strands the mismatched color on top of the only red source.
- Pouring the purple base off B1 into the T2 wrap while the wrap is already holding a different color, which traps the only purple source on the board inside a mixed wrap with no way to clean it out before the rest of the sort fills the board.
- Skipping the red top off B1 and pouring a B2 red top onto the B6 keychain first, which unlocks B6 but leaves the B1 red-over-purple mixer stranded at the top with the red already gone, so the buried purple can no longer be peeled onto a clean target.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 412 (spoiler-free)
- Pour the red top off B1 onto the B6 silver keychain on the very first move so the keychain falls off and B6 becomes the red anchor for the rest of the run.
- Keep the T2 slim dark wrap strictly purple from the moment you pour the purple base off B1 into it — it is the only flex slot on a board with zero standard empties, so a second color in the wrap strands the only purple source on the board.
- Peel B1 strictly top-first (red onto the B6 keychain, then red base onto the B6 red lane) before touching any other mixer, so the only purple source on the board is still reachable when the purple lane opens up.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Two tiers, twelve bottle positions, no corks, no spray cans, no wooden vault boxes, no magic overflow, no frozen tiles and no white star flasks. The top row is six bottles — T1 a cyan three-segment mixer, T2 a slim dark wrap bottle (the only wrap on the board, parked between T1 and T3 with the curved body that signals the pour must come in from the left), T3 a brown three-segment mixer, T4 a pink three-segment mixer, T5 a purple three-segment mixer, and T6 a small orange two-segment mixer on the far right. The bottom row is six bottles — B1 a red-top over a purple base (the only true mixed bottle on the board, and the only purple segment), B2 a red three-segment mixer, B3 a gray three-segment mixer, B4 a cyan two-segment mixer, B5 a yellow two-segment mixer, and B6 a red one-segment mixer on the far right that wears a small silver keychain on its neck (the only keyed bottle on the board, locked at the start). Zero standard empty bottles — T2 wrap is the only flex slot the entire run can lean on, and B6 is the only bottle that needs an unlock before it can be poured.
- Goal
- Unlock the keyed B6 red bottle by pouring its matching red onto the silver keychain, then drain the five clean single-color mixers on the top row (T1 cyan, T3 brown, T4 pink, T5 purple, T6 orange) plus the B2 red, B3 gray, B4 cyan and B5 yellow mixers through the T2 wrap and the freed B6 slot until all twelve positions end on a single color. The real chokepoint is the B1 red-over-purple mixer — it is the only purple source on the board and the only true mix, so the purple base has to be parked in the T2 wrap before the rest of the sort fills the board, and the red top has to land on B6 the moment B6 unlocks.
- Opening
- Pour the red top off B1 (red over purple) down onto the B6 silver keychain so the keychain falls off and B6 becomes a working red bottle with a red base. Pour the red top off B2 down onto the now-unlocked B6 red bottle to start banking a clean red lane through the bottom row, then pour the red base off B1 onto the B6 red lane so the only red source on the board collapses into a single red bottle. Pour the cyan top off B4 down onto the T1 cyan mixer to start banking the cyan lane, then pour the cyan base off B4 onto the T1 cyan lane so cyan banks to a full single-color bottle and B4 becomes a clean buffer.
- Danger Zone
- Pour any color other than red onto the B6 silver keychain and the keychain stays locked while the mismatched color strands on top of the bottle, burning the only red anchor the rest of the run needs to bank red. Pour the red base off B1 or the red tops off B2 into the same bottle that already holds gray, cyan, yellow or orange and the only red source on the board splits across two stacks with no spare buffer to recover it. Pour the purple base off B1 into the T2 wrap while the wrap is holding a different color and the only purple source on the board gets trapped inside a mixed wrap that cannot be cleaned out before the rest of the sort fills the board.
- Mechanics
- A two-tier, twelve-bottle keychain-unlock + wrap sort on a board with zero standard empties. The T2 slim dark wrap is the only flex slot the entire run can lean on, the B6 silver keychain is the only lock on the board, and the B1 red-over-purple mixer is the only true mixed bottle. No corks, no spray cans, no wooden vaults, no magic overflow, no frozen tiles, no white star flasks — the only twist is unlocking the B6 red keychain, peeling the only purple source off B1 into the T2 wrap, and routing every other top through the freed B6 slot and the wrap until all twelve positions end on a single color.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you unlock the silver-keyed red bottle at B6 in Magic Sort Level 412?
Pour the red top off B1 (red over purple) down onto the B6 silver keychain. The keychain falls off, B6 becomes a working red bottle with a red base, and you can immediately pour the B2 red tops and the B1 red base onto B6 to bank a clean red lane through the bottom row. Use the B1 red top specifically — the B2 red tops also unlock the keychain, but they leave the buried purple under B1 stranded with no clean target.
Why does the slim dark wrap at T2 matter so much in Level 412?
It is the only flex slot on a board with zero standard empties, so it has to hold a single color (purple) for most of the run while you bank the rest of the bottom row. The moment a second color touches the wrap, the only purple source on the board gets trapped inside a mixed wrap and the rest of the sort has no other slot to absorb a loose top, so the late game has to be redone.
