Magic Sort level guide
Magic Sort Level 431 Walkthrough
Magic Sort Level 431 is a two-row, eleven-bottle vault-and-cork pop board with two red scroll vaults on the left edge, three corked bottles and six mixers but zero starting empties. Pop the three corks first, then unlock the two red scroll vaults with the matching buried color, drain the six mixers top-first through the freed slots, and top off every bottle so the board ends on ten single-color lanes plus one empty slot in the middle of the top row.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 431 — Full Solution
- Pour T3's top cyan down onto the T2 red cork so the cork flies off, then pour the just-poured T3 cyan onto the parked red at T2 so T2 becomes a clean red lane and T3 collapses to a near-empty top buffer.
- Pour T6's top cyan down onto the T5 dark-blue cork so the cork flies off, then pour the just-poured T6 cyan onto the parked dark-blue at T5 so T5 becomes a clean dark-blue lane and T6 collapses to an orange-red base.
- Pour the bottom orange cork's own top orange down onto its cork so the cork flies off, then peel T4's pink onto a freed T5 slot to start a pink buffer and pour the freed T6 orange mid onto the B1 red scroll vault so the red ribbon starts to unwind.
- Unlock the T1 red scroll vault by pouring the yellow top of the bottom B5 blue-green-yellow-red onto T1's scroll, then peel T1's revealed yellow and purple layers off into a working purple buffer so T1 collapses toward its red base.
- Drain the rest of the bottom B5 top-first — blue onto the parked dark-blue at T5, green onto a freed T3 or T4 slot, yellow onto the parked yellow at T1, red onto the parked red at T2 — so the bottom row resolves to clean blue, green, yellow and red lanes.
- Top off the bottom B4 brown-dark-green-brown into green, the bottom B3 purple+white into purple, the top T6 orange-red into orange, the top T4 pink into pink and the top T1 purple base into purple, so all eleven positions end on a single color with one empty slot in the middle of the top row.
Colors in this level:
Red, Cyan, Pink, Orange, Dark blue, Purple, White, Brown, Green, Yellow, Blue
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Pouring a non-matching color onto either red scroll vault (T1 wants yellow, B1 wants orange), which still breaks the red-ribbon seal but strands a wrong top on the released scroll and costs an extra pour to clear before the scroll can join the sort.
- Pouring T3's cyan into a bottle that already holds dark blue, pink, purple, brown, green, yellow or orange, which buries the only red trigger the T2 cork has and leaves the T2 sealed stack stranded under its cork for the rest of the run.
- Pouring the bottom orange's top into a buffer that already holds yellow, blue, red or green, which buries the only orange trigger the B1 scroll vault has and leaves B1's red ribbon sealed with its hidden scroll locked inside.
Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 431 (spoiler-free)
- Pop the T2 red cork first with T3's top cyan and never pop it with a yellow, orange, green or brown pour, because red is the only cork trigger that sits on top of T2 itself and banking the red lane at T2 first opens a working top-row buffer before any scroll vault is touched.
- Save the buried vault triggers (yellow inside the T1 scroll, orange inside the B1 scroll) until the matching color has a clean home and the released scroll has a buffer ready, because pouring a non-matching color onto either red ribbon still breaks the seal but strands a wrong top on the released scroll and costs an extra pour to clear before the scroll can join the sort.
- Drain the bottom B5 blue-green-yellow-red top-first through the freed cork slots (T2 red, T5 dark blue, bottom orange) and keep every working buffer single-color, because the four hidden colors plus the two revealed vault colors plus the four drained mixers have to resolve to ten single-color lanes plus one empty slot in the middle of the top row.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Two tiers, eleven bottle positions, no locks other than the two red scroll vaults, no wraps, no spray cans, no frozen tiles, no magic bottles, no white star flasks and no near-empty starting buffer. The top row carries six positions — T1 a wide red scroll vault with three vertical scrolls wrapped in a red ribbon, T2 a small red narrow bottle with a cork on top, T3 a full cyan/blue single-color bottle, T4 a full pink single-color bottle, T5 a narrow dark-blue bottle with a cork on top, and T6 a cyan-orange-red three-layer mixer. The bottom row carries five positions — B1 a second wide red scroll vault with three vertical scrolls, B2 a tiny red near-empty bottle, B3 a purple+white two-layer bottle, B4 a brown-dark-green-brown three-layer bottle, and B5 a blue-green-yellow-red four-layer mixer. The two red scroll vaults dominate the left edge of the board and the three corks (T2 red, T5 dark blue, B? orange) hide three more colors. The most visually dominant feature is the unbroken column of two red scroll vaults on the left, and the second most dominant feature is the three small corked bottles scattered across the top row.
- Goal
- Open the two red scroll vaults (T1 yellow, B1 orange) by pouring their matching buried color on top so the red ribbon unwinds, pop the three corks (T2 red, T5 dark blue, bottom orange) by pouring their matching color from the top, then drain the six mixers top-first through the freed slots and top off every bottle to a single color. The real chokepoint is the five hidden colors: the two scroll vaults must be unlocked by accumulating the matching color on the board first, and the three corks each require their exact matching color poured from the top. The first unlock that matters is popping the T2 red cork with T3's top cyan, because it frees a working red buffer in the top row before any scroll vault is touched.
- Opening
- Pop the T2 red cork by pouring T3's top cyan down onto T2's cork so the cork flies off, then pour the just-poured T3 cyan onto the parked red at T2 so T2 becomes a clean red lane and T3 collapses to a near-empty top buffer. Pop the T5 dark-blue cork by pouring T6's top cyan down onto T5's cork, then pour the just-poured T6 cyan onto the parked dark-blue at T5 so T5 becomes a clean dark-blue lane and T6 collapses to an orange-red base. Pop the bottom orange cork by pouring its own top orange down onto its cork, then peel T4's pink onto a freed T5 slot to start a pink buffer and pour the freed T6 orange mid onto the B1 red scroll vault so the red ribbon starts to unwind.
- Danger Zone
- Pouring a non-matching color onto either red scroll vault (T1 wants yellow, B1 wants orange) still breaks the red-ribbon seal but strands a wrong top on the released scroll, which costs an extra pour to clear before that scroll can join the sort. Pouring T3's cyan into a bottle that already holds dark blue, pink, purple, brown, green, yellow or orange buries the only red trigger the T2 cork has, so T2 stays sealed with its hidden red locked inside. Pouring T6's top cyan into a bottle that already holds red, pink or brown buries the only dark-blue trigger the T5 cork has. Pouring the bottom orange's top into a buffer that already holds yellow, blue, red or green buries the only orange trigger the B1 scroll vault has, and B1's vault stays sealed for the rest of the run.
- Mechanics
- A two-row, eleven-bottle vault-and-cork pop board with two red scroll vaults on the left and three corked bottles and zero starting empties. The two scroll vaults (T1 yellow, B1 orange) accept only their exact matching color poured from the top and reveal a pre-stacked multi-color scroll once unlocked, and the three corks (T2 red, T5 dark blue, bottom orange) likewise accept only their exact matching color poured from the top and reveal a hidden single color. The chokepoint is depth-aware pop order: the cork triggers (red on top of T2, dark blue on top of T5, orange on top of the bottom corked bottle) and the vault triggers (yellow buried inside the T1 scroll, orange buried inside the B1 scroll) have to be peeled in an order that never strands a wrong color on a popped cork or scroll and never burns the only mid-or-base trigger the next vault needs. The skill is popping the three corks first to bank red, dark blue and orange as working buffers, then unlocking the T1 yellow scroll with the yellow top of the bottom B5 blue-green-yellow-red bottle, then unlocking the B1 orange scroll with the freed T6 orange mid, and finally draining the remaining mixers through the freed slots so the board ends on ten single-color lanes plus one empty slot in the middle of the top row.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the first pour in Magic Sort Level 431?
Pour T3's top cyan down onto the T2 red cork so the cork flies off, then pour the just-poured T3 cyan onto the parked red at T2 so T2 becomes a clean red lane. Red is the only cork trigger that sits on top of T2 itself, so popping T2 first opens a working top-row buffer before either red scroll vault is touched, and the player can then peel the dark-blue and orange cork triggers off their mixers onto the matching corks in a depth-aware order.
How do the two red scroll vaults work in Level 431?
The two red scroll vaults (T1 on the top-left, B1 on the bottom-left) are wide bottles with three vertical scrolls wrapped in a red ribbon. Pouring the vault's exact matching color (yellow for T1, orange for B1) onto the scroll drops the red ribbon and reveals a pre-stacked multi-color scroll in the same slot, but pouring a non-matching color still breaks the seal and strands a wrong top on the released scroll, which costs an extra pour to clear. The two scrolls accept only yellow (T1) and orange (B1), and the player has to peel the matching triggers off the top-row mixers (T6 orange mid for B1, bottom B5 yellow top for T1) in that depth order.
Why pop the T2 red cork before unlocking the red scroll vaults in Level 431?
Red is the only cork trigger that sits on top of T2 itself, so popping T2 with T3's top cyan opens a working red buffer in the top row before either red scroll vault is touched. The two vault triggers (T1 yellow, B1 orange) and the other two cork triggers (T5 dark blue, bottom orange) all live in the middle or at the base of a mixer, so the player has to peel the top colors off first and route them through the parked red at T2 to keep every other pour color-clean. Skipping the T2 cork pop and going straight to a scroll vault strands a mismatched top on the released scroll and burns the only top-row buffer the rest of the sort needs.
