Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 31 Walkthrough

hard 5 colors

Level 31 starts with unequal cyan curtains—6 on the left and 3 on the right. Three center clears open the right side at 3/0; three newly exposed right-side clears then reduce the surviving left curtain to zero before the irregular receivers and green finish.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 31 — Full Solution

  1. Lift the compact red receiver from the top of the center stack to the red sand at the lower edge of the left top pocket; after it disappears, confirm left 5 and right 2.
  2. Raise the yellow vertical receiver from the center stack into the middle yellow pocket; after settling, confirm left 4 and right 1.
  3. Slide the slim green vertical left against the upper-left edge of the large central green rectangle; its clear produces left 3/right 0 and removes the right curtain.
  4. Move the newly exposed upper-right red 2x2 straight up beneath the right red pocket; its clear changes the surviving left curtain from 3 to 2.
  5. Raise the blue vertical directly below that red square into the blue sand at the lower edge of the right pocket; its disappearance changes left 2 to 1.
  6. Take the lower-right red 2x2 from below the yellow square up the open right lane to the right red pocket; its clear changes left 1 to 0 and removes the left curtain.
  7. Lift the short red horizontal revealed at the upper-left edge into the left red pocket and wait for the red grains to settle.
  8. Move the tall red vertical from the revealed left stack up the center-right lane, keeping its long side upright beneath the right red pocket.
  9. Slide the revealed blue L from the lower-left stack beneath the left blue pocket with its long vertical leg on the left and its foot extending right.
  10. Slide the upper yellow L through the cleared center with its long leg on the left and top arm extending right beneath the middle yellow pocket.
  11. Move the right yellow L upward with its long leg on the right and top arm extending left beneath the yellow slope at the pocket's right side.
  12. Lift the small yellow square from the floor cluster into the thin yellow patch below the middle pocket and wait for it to disappear.
  13. Center the large green rectangle directly beneath the broad solid-green block; hold it until its full footprint fills and vanishes.
  14. Raise the slim green vertical immediately right of the rectangle beneath the left edge of the settled green sand and clear both cells.
  15. Slide the far-right green vertical left into the open central fall line and wait for its two-cell footprint to fill.
  16. Move the bottom-right green horizontal bar left beneath the low green shelf, keeping both cells level until it disappears.
  17. Place the bottom-right green L beneath the last diagonal green wedge with its vertical leg on the right and foot extending left; verify empty pockets and grid before confetti.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Assuming both cyan curtains start at 6 and waiting for them to vanish together.
  • Using the visible yellow square for the left-counter 1 clear instead of the lower red 2x2.

Board notes 5 details
Layout
The top row holds blue/red sand on the left, yellow in the middle, and red/blue on the right. Cyan cells form a six-count left curtain and a three-count right curtain around three exposed center receivers, a large green rectangle, and a floor cluster.
Goal
Clear the compact red, yellow, and green center receivers to open the right curtain. Use the exposed upper red square, blue vertical, and lower red square to open the left curtain, then clear the fixed-orientation irregular receivers.
Opening
Move the center red receiver to left red sand, the yellow vertical to the middle pocket, and the slim green vertical against the central green block. Verify 6/3 → 5/2 → 4/1 → 3/0.
Danger Zone
The curtains neither start equal nor vanish together. At left-counter 1, the lower red square is the gate target; the exposed yellow square stays for the later color phase.
Mechanics
A completed early receiver subtracts one from each curtain still present. The right curtain opens after three clears; the surviving left curtain needs three additional clears from the revealed right column.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does the right cyan curtain disappear before the left one?

It starts at 3 while the left starts at 6. The first three receiver clears produce 3/0, so only the right curtain opens.

  • Which three revealed receivers finish the left curtain?

Clear the upper-right red 2x2, the blue vertical below it, and the lower-right red 2x2 to change the left counter from 3 to zero.
