Sand Blocks level guide
Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 438 Walkthrough
Level 438 starts with red and green hoppers over a dense pocket, a red shutter marked 4, a green shutter marked 6 and an orange shutter marked 3. Work the small numbered pieces and outside L shapes first, then use the released white, yellow, orange and black lanes for the final clear.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 438 — Full Solution
- At 2:20, clear the small green square and white square at the upper-left of the red hopper. Let the red/green sand settle before touching the long orange L.
- Move the upper orange L into the left-side pocket, keeping the central column open. Then clear the adjacent small red and green squares that expose the first purple numbered piece.
- Use the short purple numbered pieces around the upper-left pocket before moving the red hammer-marked receiver. Their clears lower the large red and green shutter counters without sealing the crossing.
- Route the white bent receiver into the upper-right landing area and keep its full footprint against the right wall. Do not drop it into the central column while the red shutter still reads 4 or 1.
- Clear the yellow L on the right and the green horizontal receiver below it. These outside-in clears open the path toward the lower green shutter and leave the orange 3 panel accessible.
- When the red and green shutters release their room, use the red hammer-marked receiver in the centre feed row. Fill it normally and wait for it to disappear. There is no separate key or lock step.
- Work the orange, yellow and white receivers from the outside inward. Keep the long yellow Ls in the right and lower-right lanes so they do not cover the remaining black receiver footprints.
- As the feed changes to white/brown, place the white horizontal and bent receivers directly under the left hopper. Clear the small white pieces first, then the larger white footprint after the lower orange receiver has moved.
- Leave the black blocks until the white and yellow paths are open. Use the newly empty upper cells to route the black pieces, and wait after each 100% clear before crossing the board.
- Finish the last yellow L, the lower orange/purple pieces and the final white receiver around 0:43-0:33. Allow the last grains to settle; the video reaches the empty-board completion transition.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Blocking the central column with a long orange or yellow L before the red and green shutters release.
- Treating the hammer icon as a separate key or lock action; the video shows a normal fill-and-clear receiver.
- Placing a black block under the upper-right white landing cell before the last white receiver has cleared.
Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 438 (quick clues)
- Clear the small green and white squares before moving the long orange L.
- Keep the central column open while the red 4 and green 6 gates are falling.
- Leave the upper-right white landing cell open until the black pieces are ready.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Approximately six columns wide with eleven receiver rows. The left hopper starts red and is labelled 1; the right hopper starts green and is labelled 2. The opening pocket contains green, white and red squares, orange L shapes, purple numbered pieces marked 32, 12 and 25, a red hammer-marked receiver and a white bent receiver. A red shutter marked 4 occupies the upper-right, a green shutter marked 6 fills the lower-left and an orange shutter marked 3 fills the lower-right; side counters marked 4 and 5 sit at the bottom edges.
- Goal
- Clear the upper-left pocket until the red, green and orange shutters release the board. Preserve the central crossing for the hammer receiver, then route the late white, yellow, orange and black pieces through the open field.
- Opening
- At 2:20 clear the small green and white squares near the red hopper, then move the upper orange L into the left pocket. Use the short purple numbered pieces before moving the red hammer-marked receiver, and keep the white bent receiver against the upper-right wall.
- Danger Zone
- A long orange or yellow L placed in the central column while the red 4 or green 6 shutter is active blocks both the hammer receiver and the green feed. Near the end, leaving a black block beneath the upper-right white landing cell prevents the last white receiver from settling.
- Mechanics
- The red 4, green 6 and orange 3 panels are counted space gates. Smaller purple numbered pieces and the side counters visibly decrease as receivers clear. The red hammer-marked receiver fills and clears as a normal receiver. The feed changes through red/green, blue/green and white/brown phases.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the red 4, green 6 and orange 3 panels do?
They are counted space gates. The surrounding receiver clears lower their numbers and release more of the board.
How should the hammer-marked receiver be handled?
Move it into the central feed row after the first gates have opened, fill it normally and wait for it to disappear.
What is the late-board priority?
Keep the upper-right white landing cell open, clear the white and yellow receivers first, and route the black blocks only after those paths are available.
