Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 179 Walkthrough
Block Out Level 179 stages an upper empty chamber around a central 8 above a boxed four-color marked cluster and two large base blocks. Open both sides of that marked box before resolving any cell, collapse the upper 8 chamber, and keep the central vertical lane free through the final full-height multicolor phase.

- Remove the remaining bottom blocks to activate the upper 8 chamber.
- Clear the green and cyan groups across the new upper section, followed by the pink strip on the right.
- Route the long cyan bar out of the middle before moving the tall red bar upward.
- Remove the purple and green side groups while keeping the central column open.

- Open both sides of the four marked cells before resolving any one of them—one-sided clears leave the opposite marker pinned by base blocks.
- In the multicolor phase, route the long cyan middle bar out before the tall red bar rises.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Tall rectangle with a wide empty top chamber around a central 8; four marked red, yellow, cyan, and blue cells form a boxed cluster below it; large red and yellow blocks fill the bottom; colored exits ring the perimeter. Later a full-height multicolor board appears.
- Goal
- Clear the bottom blocks to populate and reduce the upper chamber, resolve the four-cell marked box with two escape lanes open, then drain the full-height multicolor board that follows.
- Opening
- Remove the bottom green and blue edge groups, reduce the large yellow lower-right block and red lower-left block enough to open both sides of the marked central box.
- Danger Zone
- Clearing one side of the marked four-cell box while the large bottom blocks still press against it leaves the opposite marked cell without an exit lane.
- Mechanics
- A staged 8 chamber, a boxed four-color marked core, and two large base blocks transform into a full-height routing board.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why must both sides of the marked box open first?
Large bottom blocks press the box shut. Resolving one marked cell while the opposite escape lane is still pressed leaves that marker permanently pinned.
What changes after the upper 8 chamber clears?
A full-height multicolor board appears. The central column must stay open so cyan can leave before red rises into the same lane.
