Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 20 Walkthrough
Colony Flow Level 20 is a wide four-row, four-column strawberry-cake board where a pink strawberry with darker pink dot highlights, a small green leaf-and-stem on top, a wide yellow cake filling, a brown dish under the strawberry, and a dark outline all share the same single ant hole, and the only real staging space is one empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row.
Board Notes
- Layout
- The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art strawberry cake: a large pink strawberry with darker pink dot highlights and a small green leaf-and-stem on top, sitting on a wide brown dish with a thick yellow cake filling spilling out the sides. Below the dirt strip the working area is a four-row, four-column grid of numbered cube stacks with one extra empty white buffer slot pinned to the right end of the top row. The 4x4 grid reads, top to bottom and left to right: pink 12 / yellow 30 / pink 17 / green 8 in the first row, red 28 / black 25 / black 25 / yellow 36 in the second row, pink 32 / pink 30 / purple 10 / red 30 in the third row, red 30 / red 20 / pink 35 / green 20 in the fourth row. The empty white buffer is the only staging cell on the board at start.
- Goal
- Yellow cubes from the yellow 30 and yellow 36 stacks must fill the wide yellow cake filling that wraps around the front of the brown dish. Brown refill cubes that rise into the active row from the lower stacks must fill the brown dish under the strawberry. Pink cubes from the pink 12, pink 17, pink 32, pink 30, and pink 35 stacks must fill the pink strawberry body and its lighter pink highlights. Red cubes from the red 28, red 30, red 30, red 30, and red 20 stacks must close the deeper red dots and shadow cells inside the strawberry. Green cubes from the green 8 and green 20 stacks must close the small green leaf-and-stem at the top, and the black 25 and purple 10 stacks handle the dark outline of the strawberry and the small purple accent cell on the leaf.
- Opening
- The first confirmed tap in the video is the yellow 36 stack in the far-right cell of the second row. Yellow 36 is the largest yellow stack on the board and the cake filling is the largest single color region in the pixel art, so opening with yellow 36 starts the yellow trail up the dirt path and the front of the cake filling starts to close in the first beat. The second confirmed tap is the yellow 30 stack at the top row, which dispatches a second yellow wave along the same dirt path so the cake filling continues to close while the first yellow ants are still on the perimeter. The player waits for the yellow ants to clear the bottom edge of the cake before tapping the next stack. The third confirmed tap is the pink 32 stack at the left of the third row, which starts sending pink ants toward the pink strawberry body, and the empty white buffer slot is kept open so the brown refill that rises from the lower rows can land cleanly and start the brown dish. The black 25 and the pink 30 are held for one beat to let the yellow and pink waves clear the path.
- Danger Zone
- The danger zone is the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row. The video shows a brown refill stack rising into that slot, and the brown dish color only stays useful if the buffer is left open for it. If the player fills the buffer with a pink 17 click or a green 8 click first, the brown refill is stranded behind the active yellow and pink ants and the brown dish cells never close, which leaves a visible brown gap under the strawberry for the rest of the run. The other trap is firing the pink 12 or the pink 17 from the top row before the yellow filling is at least half-closed, because pink and yellow ants use the same dirt path and a premature pink click strands pink ants on the still-empty cake filling cells and blocks the brown refill waiting in the buffer. Tapping the green 8 stack too early is also bad, because green ants cross the body cells that the strawberry and the cake filling still have to fill and stall on the still-empty stem cells at the top of the art.
- Mechanics
- Level 20 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art completion goal and a single ant hole. The four-row, four-column layout is the widest grid the early run has used so far, with sixteen numbered stacks and only one empty white buffer slot, so almost every tap immediately changes a route. The strawberry cake pixel art has four big color families (yellow filling, brown dish, pink strawberry, red dots) plus the small green stem and the dark outline, so the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. The empty white buffer is reserved for the brown dish refill rather than for staging any of the larger colors. so the last small black 25, purple 10, and green refill waves still need a clean delivery after the bottom of the grid looks clear.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 20 (spoiler-free)
- Tap the yellow 36 stack in the far-right cell of the second row first. It is the largest yellow stack on the board and the cake filling is the largest single color region in the pixel art, so opening with yellow 36 starts the yellow trail up the dirt path and the front of the cake filling starts to close in the first beat.
- Keep the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row open for the brown refill. The video shows a brown refill stack rising into that slot, and the brown dish only stays useful if the buffer is left open. Filling that slot with a pink 17 or green 8 click strands the brown refill and leaves a visible brown gap under the strawberry.
- Drain the yellow 30 and yellow 36 first, then the pink 32, pink 30, pink 17, and pink 12 in order, before tapping the red 28 or the two red 30 stacks. Pink and red use the same dirt path as yellow, and a premature pink or red click strands ants on the still-empty cake filling cells and blocks the brown refill waiting in the buffer.
How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 20 — Full Solution
- Tap the yellow 36 stack in the far-right cell of the second row. Yellow ants leave immediately and walk the dirt path toward the wide yellow cake filling in the pixel art, and the front of the filling starts to close in the first beat. Wait for the first yellow ants to clear the bottom edge of the cake before tapping the next stack.
- Tap the yellow 30 stack at the top row, second cell from the left. A second yellow wave walks the same dirt path and the cake filling continues to close while the first yellow ants are still on the perimeter. Keep the empty white buffer slot open for the brown refill that will rise from the lower rows.
- Tap the pink 32 stack at the left of the third row. Pink ants start walking the dirt path toward the pink strawberry body, and the strawberry cells begin to fill at the same time the yellow filling is closing. The pink 30 right next to it and the pink 17 in the top row are held for one beat so the pink wave does not block the brown refill.
- Tap the brown refill stack as soon as it rises into the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row. Brown ants walk the dirt path and start filling the brown dish cells directly under the strawberry. Filling this buffer with any other color strands the brown dish refill and leaves a visible brown gap for the rest of the run.
- Tap the pink 30 stack at the second cell of the third row, then the pink 17 stack in the top row, then the pink 12 stack at the leftmost cell of the top row. The pink strawberry body and its lighter pink highlights continue to close together. Let each pink wave clear the perimeter before tapping the next pink.
- Tap the red 28 stack at the left of the second row, then the two red 30 stacks in the third and fourth rows. Red ants walk the same dirt path and start closing the deeper red dots and shadow cells inside the strawberry. Red and pink share the path, so leave one beat between the red waves.
- Tap the green 8 stack at the right of the top row, then the green 20 stack at the right of the fourth row, then any green refill that rises later. Green ants walk the dirt path and close the small leaf-and-stem at the top of the strawberry. Tapping green before the strawberry body is mostly closed strands green ants on the still-empty body cells.
- Finish by tapping the black 25 stacks, the purple 10 stack, the red 20 stack, and the pink 35 stack, plus any late refill waves. Black ants close the dark outline wrapping the strawberry, purple ants close the small purple accent cell on the leaf, red ants close the last dot cells, and pink ants close the last highlight cells. The strawberry cake silhouette is fully colored once the last cube is delivered and the level banner appears.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Filling the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row with a pink 17 or green 8 click before the brown refill rises, which strands the brown refill behind the active yellow and pink ants and leaves a visible brown gap under the strawberry for the rest of the run.
- Tapping the pink 12 or the pink 17 from the top row before the yellow filling is at least half-closed, which strands pink ants on the still-empty cake filling cells and blocks the brown refill waiting in the buffer.
- Tapping the green 8 stack too early, which sends green ants across the body cells that the strawberry and the cake filling still have to fill and stalls them on the still-empty stem cells at the top of the art.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the safest first move in Colony Flow Level 20?
The safest opener is the yellow 36 stack in the far-right cell of the second row first. It is the largest yellow stack on the board and the cake filling is the largest single color region in the pixel art, so opening with yellow 36 starts the yellow trail up the dirt path and the front of the cake filling starts to close in the first beat. Tap the yellow 30 stack at the top row second so the cake filling keeps closing while the first yellow ants are still on the perimeter.
What goes wrong if I send the pink stacks too soon in Colony Flow Level 20?
The pink 12, pink 17, pink 32, pink 30, and pink 35 stacks use the same dirt path as the yellow 30 and yellow 36 stacks, and the pink strawberry body only sits in cells that are still open while the yellow cake filling is closing. If pink ants are sent before the yellow filling is at least half-closed, they stall on the still-empty cake filling cells, the brown refill that was waiting in the empty white buffer cannot reach the brown dish, and the cake image stays half-finished even after the bottom of the grid looks clear.
