How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 242 — Full Solution
- Tap green 25, 27, 28, 33 and 35 into all five buffers and wait for the field route to circle the horned face.
- When buffers return, tap red 20 and wait for red ants to enter the mouth.
- Tap dark 32 to open the black-purple brow while red mouth traffic is still moving; leave at least one free bay.
- Tap the second red 20, then yellow-orange 28 for the top flower, then the third red 20 from the right-hand row.
- Only after the face line shortens, tap the next green 35; never start two fresh green 35 routes back-to-back.
- Alternate dark 32/30 face cards with short green 20/15/13 handoffs to keep the outer field moving without refilling every bay.
- Tap red 20, red 19 and red 15 in order for the mouth and lower lip; wait while red ants are still in the mouth.
- Tap yellow-orange 28 then yellow-orange 26 to finish the flower and stem.
- When white 31/34/35 horn cards appear, place them into returned bays between green waves—do not wait for the border-only endgame.
- Tap dark 13, 10 and 9 with green 20 to clear the face edge and lower field tail.
- Tap dark 15, 14 and 13 from both face sides toward the centre, waiting between each.
- Finish with yellow 16, red 6/9, green 13/6, remaining dark tails and the last green 35/20 border cards until the board is empty.

Green, Dark, Red, White, Yellow, Orange
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not launch several fresh green 35 routes before dark 32 and red 20 have opened the face.
- Do not leave white horn cards for the final border stage; mid-solve green traffic will steal their buffers.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 242 (spoiler-free)
- Treat the five-green first wave as fixed; do not add dark or flower cards until those buffers start returning.
- Insert dark 32 right after the first red 20 so the brow opens before the next green 35.
- White horn 34/35 cards appear mid-solve and need a free bay—do not save them for the end.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Green square field around a dark-purple horned face with white horns and eyes, a red mouth and an orange-yellow flower with a red centre. The opening loads green 25, 27, 28, 33 and 35 into the five buffers above red 20/20, yellow-orange 28, red 20, dark 32 and more green 35 lanes.
- Goal
- Clear the green field, dark face, white horns and eyes, red mouth and orange flower until the board is blank.
- Opening
- Fill the five buffers with green 25/27/28/33/35 first; after they drain, tap red 20, then dark 32 while the mouth route is live, then the second red 20 and yellow-orange 28.
- Danger Zone
- Starting a second wave of green 35 cards before white horn and dark face slots return blocks the centre face completely.
- Mechanics
- Perimeter green-field board: the recording opens with all five green field stacks buffered at once, then red mouth, dark brow and white horn traffic must interrupt every later green 35 wave.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Level 242 open with five green cards at once?
The recording loads green 25/27/28/33/35 into every buffer as the first wave; that is the real field clear, not a single green 35 opener.
When should dark 32 be tapped?
After the first green wave returns and the first red 20 has entered the mouth, so the brow opens before the next green 35 wave.
