Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 87 Walkthrough
Colony Flow Level 87 is a crowned chick board where the white face, black smile, yellow arms, and brown platform all share one trail, so the white 30 opener has to clear before the paired black 25 stacks in source row 1 are touched.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 87 — Full Solution
- Tap the white 30 stack in the first cell of the 5-cell active row. White ants walk the dirt path up to the white round face of the crowned chick, and the white face cells closest to the ant hole start clearing in the first beat. Wait for the first white ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack. Do not tap any source row stack yet.
- Tap the white 28 stack in the first cell of source row 1 as it rises into the active row. White ants clear the last white face and body cells. Leave one beat so the white face is at least half-cleared before the black smile starts clearing. Do not tap the black 25, yellow 30, or any other source stack yet.
- Tap the black 25 stack in the second cell of source row 1, then the black 25 in the third cell, as each one rises into the active row. Black ants walk the dirt path and start tracing the black smile line and the dark accent cells around the eyes. The two black waves share the path, so leave one beat between them so the white face is mostly cleared before the smile starts clearing. Do not tap the yellow 30 or any source row 2 stack yet.
- Tap the yellow 30 stack in the fourth cell of source row 1 as it rises into the active row. Yellow ants clear the yellow eyes, the yellow wing-like arms, and the two yellow counter boxes on the brown platform. Black and yellow share the path, so leave one beat between the last black wave and the yellow wave so the black smile is mostly cleared before the yellow arms start clearing. Do not tap any source row 2 or 3 stack yet.
- Tap the cyan 35 stack in the first cell of source row 2, then the brown 30 in the second cell, then the cyan 35 in the third cell, then the black 22 in the fourth cell, as each one rises into the active row. Cyan ants clear the cyan wing-edge highlights, brown ants start clearing the brown brick platform, and black ants clear the last dark accent cells. Leave one beat between each wave. Do not tap any source row 3 stack yet.
- Tap the pink 35 stack in the first cell of source row 3, then the brown 30 in the second cell, then the brown 30 in the third cell, then the black 30 in the fourth cell, as each one rises into the active row. Pink ants clear the pink cheek dots, brown ants clear the rest of the brick platform, and black ants clear the last smile cells. The late red crown refill waves finish the red flame crown on top of the chick. The crowned chick silhouette clears once the last matching cube is routed off the board and the level banner appears.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Firing either black 25 stack in source row 1 before the white 30 and white 28 waves have cleared the dirt path up to the white face, which strands black ants on the remaining smile cells and blocks the black 22 and black 30 cleanup waves in source rows 2 and 3.
- Tapping the pink 35 stack in source row 3 column 1 while yellow ants are still walking the dirt path up to the yellow wing arms, which strands pink ants on the remaining cheek cells.
- Letting the cyan 35 stacks in source row 2 rise into the active row before the brown 30 platform cells are at least half-cleared, which strands cyan ants on the remaining wing-edge highlights.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 87 (spoiler-free)
- Tap the white 30 in the active row before you touch any source row stack. The white round face is the first color region on the crowned chick, and it has to start clearing before the paired black 25 stacks in source row 1 are allowed onto the dirt path.
- After the white 30 drains, tap the white 28 in source row 1 column 1 first, then the two black 25s in columns 2 and 3, then the yellow 30 in column 4. This clears the white face and clears the black smile together before the yellow wing arms and brown platform refills are allowed onto the dirt path.
- Save the pink 35 in source row 3 column 1 for after the yellow 30 wave has at least started clearing the yellow arms. The pink cheek dots are the smallest color region on the chick, and a premature pink click strands pink ants on remaining cheek cells.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art crowned chick portrait: a red-and-yellow flame crown on top, a white round face with yellow eyes and a black smile, yellow wing-like arms stretching to both sides, a brown brick platform with a yellow 50 counter on the left and a yellow 20 counter on the right, and pixel scatter flying toward a dark hole below the platform. Below the dirt strip the working area is a 5-cell top active row plus a 3-row, 4-column source grid. The 5-cell top active row opens as white 30, empty white buffer pad, empty white buffer pad, empty white buffer pad, empty white buffer pad. Source row 1 reads white 28, black 25, black 25, yellow 30. Source row 2 reads cyan 35, brown 30, cyan 35, black 22. Source row 3 reads pink 35, brown 30, brown 30, black 30.
- Goal
- White cubes from the white 30 in the active row, the white 28 in source row 1, and the late white refills must clear the white round face and the white body cells. Black cubes from the black 25 stacks in source row 1, the black 22 in source row 2, the black 30 in source row 3, and the late black refills must clear the black smile line and the dark accent cells around the eyes. Yellow cubes from the yellow 30 in source row 1 plus the late yellow refills must clear the yellow eyes, the yellow wing-like arms, and the two yellow counter boxes on the brown platform. Red cubes from the late red refills must clear the red flame crown on top of the chick. Brown cubes from the brown 30 stacks in source rows 2 and 3 plus the late brown refills must clear the brown brick platform under the chick. Cyan cubes from the cyan 35 stacks in source row 2 plus the late cyan refills must clear the cyan highlight cells along the wing edges. Pink cubes from the pink 35 in source row 3 plus the late pink refills must clear the small pink cheek dots.
- Opening
- The board starts with the white 30 stack in the first cell of the 5-cell active row. White 30 is the only stack in the active row at the start and the white round face is the first color region the ant trail reaches from the ant hole, so opening with white 30 dispatches white ants up the dirt path in the first beat and the white face cells closest to the ant hole start clearing immediately. The four empty white buffer pads in cells 2 through 5 of the active row are kept open so the eleven source grid stacks can rise into the active row as the white 30 drains. Every source row stack is held for one beat so the white 30 active row wave can start clearing the white face first.
- Danger Zone
- The first real trap is the pair of black 25 stacks in source row 1 columns 2 and 3. The video draws a black connecting line from those two stacks down toward the brown 30 cells in source row 2, and if the player fires either black 25 before the white 30 wave has cleared the ant trail up to the white face, black ants use the same dirt path as the white ants and they stall on the remaining smile cells, blocking the black 22 in source row 2 and the black 30 in source row 3 that need to clear the rest of the dark accents. The other trap is firing the pink 35 stack in source row 3 column 1 while yellow ants are still walking the dirt path up to the yellow wing arms, because pink ants share the same dirt path as the yellow ants and a premature pink click strands pink ants on the remaining cheek cells. Tapping the cyan 35 stacks in source row 2 before the brown 30 platform cells are at least half-cleared is also bad, because cyan ants stall on the remaining wing-edge highlights.
- Mechanics
- Level 87 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art clear goal and a single ant hole, with a crowned-chick portrait scene. The 5-cell top active row plus the 3-row, 4-column source grid makes this a 12-stack working area with four empty white buffer pads in the active row from the start, so the player can stage multiple rising refills at once after the lone white 30 opener drains. The crowned chick pixel art has seven main color families (red crown, white face and body, yellow eyes and arms and counter boxes, brown platform, black smile, cyan wing highlights, pink cheeks) plus the late refill waves, and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. Compared to Level 86's butterfly board, this chick scene opens with only one active row stack and forces the player to drain the full white 30 face wave before the paired black 25 stacks in source row 1 are allowed onto the dirt path.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which stack should I lead with in Colony Flow Level 87?
Lead with the white 30 stack in the first cell of the 5-cell active row, then the white 28 in source row 1 column 1, then the two black 25 stacks in source row 1 columns 2 and 3, then the yellow 30 in source row 1 column 4. This dispatches the white and black ants up the dirt path in that order and clears the white face and the black smile together before the brown platform or pink cheek refills are allowed onto the dirt path.
Why should I hold the black 25 pair in Colony Flow Level 87?
The two black 25 stacks in source row 1 columns 2 and 3 are the only waves on the board that can clear the black smile line, and that smile only sits in cells still on the board while the white face is clearing. If black ants are sent before the white 30 and white 28 waves have at least started clearing the white face, they stall on the remaining smile cells, the black 22 and black 30 waiting in source rows 2 and 3 cannot reach the rest of the dark accents, and the late red crown refills get stranded behind active white ants on the dirt path.
