Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 96 Walkthrough
Colony Flow Level 96 is a red-building board where the blue sky, red walls, yellow door, and white clouds all share one route, so the three blue openers have to clear before the red 25 wave in source row 1 starts.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 96 — Full Solution
- Tap the blue 10 stack in the third cell of the 5-cell active row. Blue ants walk the dirt path up to the blue sky band at the top of the red-building portrait, and the blue sky cells closest to the ant hole start clearing in the first beat. Wait for the first blue ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack. Do not tap the blue 20 stacks or any source row stack yet.
- Tap the blue 20 stack in the fourth cell of the active row. Blue ants walk the same dirt path and continue the sky band. The two blue waves share the path, so leave one beat between them so the first sky cells are mostly cleared before the next sky cells start clearing. Do not tap the fifth-cell blue 20 or any source row stack yet.
- Tap the blue 20 stack in the fifth cell of the active row. Blue ants walk the dirt path and start clearing the light-blue base platform below the building. Blue waves share the path, so leave one beat between the second and third blue waves so the sky band is at least half-cleared before the base platform starts clearing. Do not tap any source row stack yet.
- Tap the red 25 stack in the first cell of source row 1 as it rises into the active row, then the blue 35 in the second cell, then the yellow 40 in the third cell, then the red 35 in the fourth cell. Red ants start clearing the red building walls, blue ants clear the last sky and base cells, and yellow ants start clearing the yellow sun circle and the yellow-framed door. Leave one beat between each wave so the blue base is mostly cleared before the red walls start clearing. Do not tap any source row 2 stack yet.
- Tap the blue 40 stack in the first cell of source row 2, then the blue 30 in the second cell, then the yellow 33 in the third cell, then the red 35 in the fourth cell, as each one rises into the active row. Blue ants clear the last base cells, yellow ants clear the yellow roof band and door frame, and red ants clear the last red wall cells. The late refill waves that rise into the two empty buffer pads finish the white clouds and the purple border accents. The red-building portrait clears once the last matching cube is routed off and the level banner appears.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Firing the red 25 stack in source row 1 before the blue 10, blue 20, and blue 20 active row waves have cleared the sky and base perimeter of the red-building portrait, which sends red ants across the blue sky that blue still has to clear and stalls them on the remaining red wall cells, blocking the red 35 stacks in source rows 1 and 2 that need to clear the rest of the building.
- Tapping the yellow 40 stack in source row 1 while blue ants are still walking the dirt path up to the light-blue base platform, which strands yellow ants on the remaining yellow sun and door cells and blocks the yellow 33 in source row 2 that needs to clear the rest of the yellow accents.
- Letting the red 35 stack in source row 2 rise into the active row before the yellow 40 sun wave from source row 1 has at least started clearing the yellow door frame, which strands red ants on the remaining red roof cells and blocks the late white cloud refills that need to rise into the empty buffer pads.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 96 (spoiler-free)
- Tap the blue 10, blue 20, and blue 20 in that order from the active row before you touch any source row stack. The blue sky band and the light-blue base platform are the two highest-traffic color regions on the red-building portrait, and they have to clear together before the red 25 in source row 1 or the yellow 40 sun refill is allowed onto the dirt path.
- Treat the active row as the opener queue and the 3-row, 4-column source grid as the supply. The active row has two empty buffer pads in cells 1 and 2 at the start, so two rising refills can stage at once. Tap the red 25, blue 35, yellow 40, and red 35 in source row 1 only after the three blue active row waves have cleared, and tap the blue 40, blue 30, yellow 33, and red 35 in source row 2 only after source row 1 has cleared.
- Save the two empty buffer pads in cells 1 and 2 of the active row for the late cleanup refills. The video shows those pads being filled with rising white cloud and purple frame accent refills in quick succession. Filling them with a red 25 or yellow 40 source click strands the refill waves and leaves the white clouds and purple border accents empty.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art red-building portrait inside a white frame: a blue sky with white cloud shapes across the upper band, a yellow sun circle in the upper-left, a red building with a yellow roof band and a yellow-framed door showing 50 in the center, a light-blue base platform below the building, and purple ants crawling the top and side borders of the frame. Below the dirt strip the working area is a 5-cell top active row plus a 3-row, 4-column source grid. The 5-cell top active row opens as empty purple buffer, empty white buffer pad, blue 10, blue 20, blue 20. Source row 1 reads red 25, blue 35, yellow 40, red 35. Source row 2 reads blue 40, blue 30, yellow 33, red 35.
- Goal
- Blue cubes from the blue 10, blue 20, and blue 20 in the active row, the blue 35 in source row 1, the blue 40 and blue 30 in source row 2, plus the late blue refills must clear the blue sky band and the light-blue base platform. Red cubes from the red 25 and red 35 in source row 1, the red 35 stacks in source row 2, plus the late red refills must clear the red building walls and roof accents. Yellow cubes from the yellow 40 in source row 1, the yellow 33 in source row 2, plus the late yellow refills must clear the yellow sun circle, the yellow roof band, and the yellow-framed door showing 50. White cubes from the late white refills that rise into the empty buffer pads must clear the white cloud shapes. Purple cubes from the late purple refills that rise into the empty purple buffer must clear the purple frame border accents.
- Opening
- The board starts with the blue 10 stack in the third cell of the 5-cell active row. Blue 10 is the smallest numbered stack in the active row and the blue sky band is the first color region the ant trail reaches from the ant hole, so opening with blue 10 dispatches blue ants up the dirt path in the first beat and the blue sky cells closest to the ant hole start clearing immediately. The second confirmed tap is the blue 20 stack in the fourth cell, which sends another blue wave up the same dirt path and continues the sky band. The third confirmed tap is the blue 20 stack in the fifth cell, which sends a third blue wave up the dirt path and starts clearing the light-blue base platform. The two empty buffer pads in cells 1 and 2 are kept open so the eight source row stacks can rise into the active row as the three blue stacks are drained.
- Danger Zone
- The first real trap is the red 25 stack in the first cell of source row 1. The red building walls are the largest color region in the picture, and if the player taps the red 25 before the blue 10, blue 20, and blue 20 active row waves have cleared the sky and base perimeter, red ants use the same dirt path as the blue ants that still have to clear the sky and they stall on the remaining red wall cells, blocking the red 35 stacks in source rows 1 and 2 that need to clear the rest of the building. The other trap is firing the yellow 40 stack in source row 1 while blue ants are still walking the dirt path up to the light-blue base platform, because yellow ants use the same dirt path as the blue ants and a premature yellow click strands yellow ants on the remaining yellow sun and door cells.
- Mechanics
- Level 96 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art clear goal and a single ant hole, with a red-building-on-blue-sky scene. The 5-cell top active row plus the 3-row, 4-column source grid makes this a 12-stack working area with two empty buffer pads in the active row from the start, so the player can stage two rising refills at a time. The red-building pixel art has five main color families (blue sky and base, red walls, yellow sun and roof and door, white clouds, purple frame accents) plus the late refill waves, and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. Compared to Level 95's boy-character board, this red-building scene opens with three blue stacks in the active row and no colored opener at all, which forces the player to drain the entire blue sky wave before any red or yellow source row stack is allowed onto the dirt path.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the safest first move in Colony Flow Level 96?
The safest opener is the blue 10 stack in the third cell of the 5-cell active row, then the blue 20 stack in the fourth cell, then the blue 20 stack in the fifth cell. This dispatches the three blue ants up the dirt path in that order and clears the blue sky band and the light-blue base platform together before the red 25 in source row 1 or the yellow 40 sun refill is allowed onto the dirt path. Tap the red 25, blue 35, yellow 40, and red 35 in source row 1 only after the three blue active row waves have cleared.
Why does the red 25 stack jam the route in Colony Flow Level 96?
The red 25 stack in source row 1 column 1 is the first of two stacks that can clear the large red building walls, and the walls only sit in cells that are still open while the blue sky and base platform are clearing. If red ants are sent before the blue 10, blue 20, and blue 20 active row waves have at least started clearing their color regions, they stall on the remaining red wall cells, the red 35 stacks waiting in source rows 1 and 2 cannot reach the rest of the building, and the late white cloud and purple frame refills that have to rise into the empty buffer pads get stranded behind active blue ants on the dirt path.
