Magic Sort Level 212 Walkthrough

hard Target: 32 moves 9 colors

Magic Sort Level 212 is a release-and-route board with one wide wooden box / vault at the bottom hiding a tall pink-top bottle and a short brown-top single-color bottle. Crack the box open with its pink trigger, bank a brown lane and a blue lane from the top, then drain the four middle mixers (red+red, blue+orange, brown+cyan, green+green) top-down to reveal pink, blue, brown, red, orange, cyan, green, yellow and purple.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 212 — Full Solution

  1. Pour the top pink (T1) down into the wide wooden box at the bottom of the board to trigger the unlock. The box cracks open and drops a tall pink-top bottle (with 2 hidden "?" segments) plus a short brown-top single-color bottle into the bottom row.
  2. Pour the released brown top from the new bottom bottle into the empty top slot T3 to bank a clean brown lane, then pour the top brown (T4) onto T3 to grow the brown lane to two segments.
  3. Pour the top blue (T2) into the empty middle bottle M3, then pour the top blue (T5) onto M3 to bank a two-segment blue lane and free up T2 and T5 as additional working buffers.
  4. Pour the red top off the middle M1 bottle (red+red+?) into the freed top-right T5 buffer, then pour the now-exposed red from M1 onto the same T5 buffer to grow the red lane.
  5. Drain the middle M2 bottle (blue+orange+?) top-first — pour the blue top onto the blue lane in M3, then pour the orange top onto a clean empty or onto the orange top of M5 to start an orange lane.
  6. Peel the middle M4 bottle (brown+cyan+?) — pour the brown top onto the brown lane in T3, then pour the cyan top onto the cyan target in M5 to bank a cyan lane.
  7. Drain the middle M5 bottle (green+green+?) — pour the top green onto a clean buffer, then pour the second green onto the same buffer to bank a green lane, and use the freed M5 slot plus the tall pink-bottom bottle's hidden segments to gather the remaining yellow and purple.
  8. Top off pink, blue, brown, red, orange, cyan, green, yellow and purple so all thirteen bottles end on a single color, leaving the two empty buffers (T1 and T4) as the final empties.

Colors in this level:

Pink, Blue, Brown, Red, Orange, Cyan, Green, Yellow, Purple

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Pouring a non-pink color at the wide wooden box first (especially red or orange) — the box only opens on its pink trigger and the wrong pour leaves the vault locked while you waste a turn.
  • Pouring the released brown into the tall pink-bottom bottle right after the box opens — the two releases are separate bottles and the brown-on-pink pour strands the pink segment under brown with no legal pour to recover it.
  • Cracking the brown-cyan mixer in M4 before you finish banking the blue lane in M3 — the cyan top then sits on a stack with no home because the only matching blue bottle is already full.

Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 212 (spoiler-free)

  • Crack the wide box with the top pink (T1) first; any other color poured at the box leaves it locked.
  • The box releases a tall pink bottle and a short brown bottle as two separate items — never pour the brown into the tall pink one or you strand pink.
  • Finish the two blues (T2 and T5) into a single blue lane in the middle empty M3 before you crack the brown-cyan mixer in M4, or its cyan top has no home.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Three tiers, five columns wide. The top row is five 4-segment bottles — full pink at T1, full blue at T2, an empty at T3, full brown at T4, full blue at T5 (so a duplicate blue sits on top from the start). The middle row is five 4-segment bottles — a red+red+? with a small red droplet icon at M1, a blue+orange+? at M2, an empty at M3, a brown+cyan+? at M4, and a green+green+? at M5. The bottom row is a single wide locked wooden box with a padlock and a vertical wooden beam. No corks, wraps, magic bottles, lotion blockers, knit wraps, or frozen tiles anywhere on the visible board.
Goal
The four middle mixers each hide a "?" segment, so the win is to peel them top-first until every hidden color is exposed, then route the nine revealed colors (pink, blue, brown, red, orange, cyan, green, yellow, purple) into a single bottle. The wide wooden box at the bottom is the only source of a brand-new pink bottle and a brand-new brown bottle, so the box must be cracked in time for those two to become the pink and brown home lanes.
Opening
Pour the top pink (T1) down into the wide wooden box to trigger the unlock. The box cracks open and drops a tall pink-top bottle and a short brown-top bottle into the bottom row. Pour the released brown top into the empty top slot T3 to bank a clean brown lane, then pour the top brown (T4) onto T3 to grow the brown lane to two segments.
Danger Zone
Pouring any non-pink color at the wide box first (especially red or orange) buries the pink trigger and leaves the box locked. After the box opens, the bottom row holds a tall pink bottle with 2 hidden "?" segments and a short brown bottle — pouring the released brown into the tall pink bottle strands the pink segment under brown with no legal pour. The two blues at T2 and T5 are the only natural blue lane source, so once you start the blue lane in M3, finish blue before you crack the brown-cyan mixer in M4 or its cyan top will sit on a stack with no home.
Mechanics
A release-and-route board built around one wide wooden box / vault. The vault hides both a tall pink-top bottle (with 2 hidden segments) and a short brown-top single-color bottle, so the trigger pour releases a tall plus a short together. No corks, wraps, magic bottles, lotion blockers, knit wraps, or frozen tiles — the box is the only special item.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the trick to opening the wide wooden box in Magic Sort Level 212?

The box only opens when you pour the top pink (T1) into it. Pour any other color at the box first and the trigger stays buried. Once the box drinks the pink, it cracks and drops a tall pink-top bottle with 2 hidden "?" segments and a short brown-top single-color bottle into the bottom row.

  • Why do the two blues at T2 and T5 matter in Level 212?

They are the only natural blue lane sources on the board, so you have to merge them into a single two-segment blue lane in the empty middle bottle M3 before you crack the brown-cyan mixer in M4. If the cyan top emerges before the blue lane is finished, it has no home and the middle row locks.
