Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 354 Walkthrough

expert 8 colors

Level 354 carries the game's Hard label and runs on a 2:10 clock. Only the bottom strip is open at first, with a cyan side hopper; three cyan clears lift a shutter that hides a tightly packed board under a top hopper. The top hopper runs black, white, yellow and purple, the side hopper runs cyan, brown, red and magenta, and clock pieces buy back the time the packed board costs.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 354 — Full Solution

  1. At about 2:10 on the timer let the cyan L under the side hopper fill; it clears at 2:09 and the shutter reads 2.
  2. At about 2:05 slide a cyan cube (39%) and then the cyan upright into the side slot; one reaches 100% at 2:02 and the shutter reads 1. The side pipe now shows brown.
  3. At about 2:00 put the last cyan upright in (16%, then 76% at 1:59). It clears at 1:58, the shutter lifts and the packed board appears at 1:57.
  4. From about 1:56 to 1:40 open a path to the top hopper: shift black cubes, white bars and the magenta pieces aside. At 1:40 the black bar goes under the hopper and is 100% at 1:39.
  5. From about 1:38 to 1:17 keep reorganizing around the magenta square and yellow L. At 1:16 two black cubes take the last black (95% at 1:15, 100% at 1:14) as white reaches the hopper.
  6. At about 1:13 a white bar is 100% under the top hopper, and the hopper turns yellow. At 1:05 the clock-stamped white bar fills there and the timer jumps back five seconds; the clock-stamped yellow L follows at the hopper for a second bonus.
  7. At about 0:56 return to the side hopper: a cyan cube takes the leftover cyan (58%), then a brown clock upright fills and clears at 0:54 for another five seconds. A brown bar follows, and the side pipe turns red.
  8. At about 0:51 pull two yellow L pieces from the crate (badge 5 to 3 at 0:50) and park them near the top hopper. At about 0:46 fill the red clock L and red T at the side hopper; the timer jumps back to about 0:53.
  9. At about 0:33 a yellow L is 100% under the top hopper. Purple is now arriving there: a purple bar is 100% at 0:32, and the clock-stamped purple L clears at 0:30 with a five-second bonus.
  10. At about 0:30 empty more of the crate (badge 2, then 1 at 0:28). A purple L is 80% at 0:29, and the purple clock box reaches 77% at 0:24 and clears with the last bonus.
  11. At about 0:15 fill the red T at the side hopper (72%) and clear it by 0:14. At 0:11 a yellow L takes the last yellow from the top hopper (65%, 100% at 0:05).
  12. At about 0:08 pull the final magenta L from the crate. The red upright takes the last red at the side (8% at 0:06), then magenta pieces fill there: an L at 0:04, another at 0:03 and the square at 0:02. The board clears with the timer at about 0:01.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Filling the side slot with the wrong colour while cyan or brown is still in the hopper; the side hopper keeps its old colour until it is emptied.
  • Leaving the crate full. Its pieces include yellow and magenta receivers that the late hopper colours need.
  • Clearing clock pieces in a rush early, or never reaching them; every bonus was needed to finish before zero.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 354 (quick clues)

  • Use the opening seconds well: the three cyan clears that lift the shutter are the only easy points on the board.
  • Look at the colour sitting in each hopper, not the pipe. The side hopper still held cyan after its pipe had turned brown.
  • Every clock-stamped piece is worth five seconds. Clear them in their colour's window rather than burying them.
  • Pull pieces out of the crate as soon as their colour is running; its yellow pieces go to the top hopper and its last magenta L to the side one.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Six columns. A shutter marked 3 covers the top two thirds. The open bottom strip holds a brown bar, cyan cubes, black cubes, a purple upright, a red L stamped with a clock, a yellow L, and a cyan L already under a side hopper at c5-c6 that is fed by a pipe from the right. Behind the shutter: a top hopper over c2-c3 holding black sand, red uprights and a red T, a clock-stamped yellow L, white and black bars, large magenta squares and L shapes, clock-stamped purple and white pieces, and a crate marked 5 at c1-c2 with yellow pieces inside.
Goal
Clear three cyan pieces to lift the shutter, then feed each hopper the colour it is currently holding: black, white, yellow and purple from the top, brown, red and magenta from the side. The crate's five pieces must all come out and clear too.
Opening
The cyan L is already under the side hopper and clears at 2:09 (shutter 2). Move cyan cubes and the cyan upright into the side slot one after another; the shutter reads 1 at 2:02 and lifts at about 1:58.
Danger Zone
After the shutter lifts, almost every cell is occupied, and the top hopper's black sand can only be reached by clearing space around c2-c3. Spending too long shuffling is the real threat: the board finished with about two seconds left even after all its clock bonuses.
Mechanics
A shutter on the global clear count; two hoppers with fixed colour sequences; +5 clock pieces in several colours; and a crate whose badge counts pieces still inside (5, then 3 at 0:50, 2 at 0:30, 1 at 0:28, empty by 0:08).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you open the top of the board?

Clear three cyan pieces in the side hopper. The shutter goes 3, 2, 1 and lifts at about 1:58.

  • Why did the timer go back up?

Pieces stamped with a clock add five seconds when they clear. White, yellow, brown, red and purple clock pieces all gave bonuses here.

  • What is the box with a 5 on it?

A crate of receivers. The number is how many are left inside; it dropped to 3 at 0:50, 2 at 0:30 and 1 at 0:28, and its last piece was a magenta L.
