Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 378 Walkthrough

expert 9 colors

Level 378 carries the game's Hard label and runs everything through one centre outlet whose chute cycles red, cyan, magenta, yellow, orange, green, purple and white. Twin glass boxes marked 14 hide dark sand in the side chutes, a wrapped pink plus counts down from 20 and a chest at the bottom deals out eight late receivers. Each colour change needs the matching receiver under c3 straight away.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 378 — Full Solution

  1. At about 2:50 on the timer, a red square under the centre outlet catches the red layer and clears: side glass 14 to 13, plus 20 to 19. Slide the plus aside and a second red clears at 2:48 (12/12/18).
  2. Keep a red receiver on the outlet while shuffling greens, oranges and yellows off c3. The last red clears at about 2:20 (11/11/17) and cyan is now at the bottom of the chute.
  3. Put the small cyan square under the outlet. It fills at about 2:14 and clears at 2:13 (10/10/16), and magenta shows at the top of the chute.
  4. Stand the tall cyan receiver in c3 under the outlet (it stalled at 10/10/16 until then). It fills at about 1:50 and clears at 1:49 (9/9/15), and the chute turns magenta.
  5. Catch magenta: a small magenta clears at about 1:43 (8/8/14) and the magenta L, at 63% at 1:26, clears at 1:25 (7/7/13).
  6. Yellow follows: a small yellow clears at about 1:24 (6/6/12) and a yellow bar fills at 1:21 and clears at 1:20 (5/5/11). The chute shows orange.
  7. An orange bar reaches 77% at about 1:15 and clears at 1:14 (4/4/10). Greens clear at 1:13 (3/3/9) and 1:12 (2/2/8), one more clear by 1:11 leaves the counters at 1/1/7, and the chute is purple.
  8. The chest starts dealing at about 1:10: a white L (badge 7), a black vertical (6), then white, black and purple pieces down to 1 by 0:57. Stack them off the outlet column.
  9. Lift the purple bar from the chest to the outlet. It fills at about 0:49 and clears at 0:48, both side glass boxes shatter to reveal dark sand, the plus drops to 6 and the chute turns white.
  10. Alternate whites under the centre and black verticals under the side chutes. The plus keeps counting down from 5 between about 0:47 and 0:44, and at 0:43 it unwraps into a white plus. The chest's last piece, a black plus, comes out.
  11. Put the white plus under the outlet (5% at about 0:42, 92% at 0:41) and the black plus under the left side chute (53% at 0:40, 99% at 0:39). The black plus hits 100% at 0:37 and the board is empty at 0:36.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Leaving the wrapped plus across c3, which blocks the only open outlet.
  • Sitting on a colour phase with the matching receiver somewhere else on the board; the counters stopped for about 20 seconds twice this way.
  • Burying the chest under stacked pieces, so its white, black and purple receivers can't come out.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 378 (quick clues)

  • Move the wrapped plus off c3 early; it only needs clears elsewhere to count down.
  • Look at the top of the centre chute to see the next colour and have that receiver waiting beside the outlet.
  • The chest's purple bar is the answer to the purple phase; lift it to c3 as soon as it appears.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
Five columns. The centre chute at c3 r1-r2 sits over the only open outlet and starts with red under cyan. Side chutes at c1 and c5 are capped by glass boxes marked 14. A pink checkered wrapped plus marked 20 fills c2-c4 r3-r5. Green verticals, orange bars, a purple L, yellow bars and small cyan and red squares pack the rest, and a purple chest with a red 8 badge sits at the bottom (c2-c4 r9-r10).
Goal
Catch each layer from the centre outlet in turn; every clear lowers both glass boxes and the plus by one. The side glass breaks at about 0:48 and releases dark sand. The plus unwraps into a white plus at 0:43, and a black plus from the chest finishes the level at 0:37.
Opening
The red layer fills red squares under the outlet: clears at about 2:50 (13/13, plus 19) and 2:48 (12/12, plus 18). A third red clears at 2:20 (11/11/17), and the cyan layer is exposed.
Danger Zone
The wrapped plus starts right across the outlet column. As long as it or a non-matching piece sits under c3, the centre stream has nowhere to go. The counters stayed at 10/10/16 from about 2:13 to 1:50 and again at 1/1/7 from 1:11 to 0:49 while the matching receiver was elsewhere.
Mechanics
Single-outlet layered feed with eight colour phases, clear-driven glass counters that open dark side chutes, a wrapped plus that becomes a white receiver, and a chest dispenser that pushes out white, black and purple pieces from 1:10 on.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the two 14 boxes at the top?

Glass caps over the side chutes. They drop by one with every clear and shatter at about 0:48, releasing dark sand for the black receivers.

  • What is the purple chest with the 8 badge?

A dispenser. From about 1:10 it pushes out eight receivers one at a time (white Ls and bars, black verticals, a purple bar and finally a black plus), and the badge counts how many are left.

  • What happens to the pink plus?

It counts down from 20 with every clear. At about 0:43 it unwraps into a white plus that fills under the centre outlet.
