Sand Blocks level guide
Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 407 Walkthrough
Level 407 stacks two red clear-count shutters under a compact upper room. Four early clears open the first room, seven total clears open the lower chamber, and the finish depends on moving the remaining green receivers back to the left and lower-right side feeds before the timer reaches 0:07.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 407 — Full Solution
- At 2:00, keep the red tray under the top-right pipe and finish the quickest small red receiver. This is already enough to show the counters at 3 and 6.
- Clear the neighboring small green and red squares in the upper room. By about 1:57 the shared clear count has moved the shutters to 2 and 5.
- Use the tall yellow vertical on the right feed only after the red square is out of the way. It gives a safe landing lane without blocking the white L below.
- Between 1:51 and 1:49, finish the last upper-room clear needed for the first shutter. The upper shutter drops to zero and opens; the lower shutter reads 3.
- Use the newly exposed middle cells to move the white L and blue vertical out of the central traffic lane. Keep the purple L tucked in the upper-left corner until there is space below.
- From 1:49 to 1:30, continue clearing available small receivers from the red/yellow feeds. The lower shutter drops from 3 to 2.
- Around 1:15, make the next clear with the yellow or green receiver nearest the right side; the lower shutter reads 1.
- By 1:00, finish the last count for the lower shutter. The bottom chamber opens, showing the pink vertical, red square/upright, blue bar, yellow L and several green receivers.
- With the full board open, move the long yellow L and yellow vertical under the right feed first, then clear the red square and blue bar so the bottom lanes stop pinching.
- At about 0:45, the top pipe is mostly dry and the left and lower-right green feeds matter most. Pull green receivers toward those two side nozzles instead of chasing the empty top.
- From 0:30 to 0:15, prioritize the long green bar and tall green pieces in the lower chamber. Leave the small green blocks for last because they can slide around the open board.
- At 0:08, the lower-right green bar is still around 60%. Keep it against the lower-right pipe and let it finish; the board clears at 0:07.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Waiting for the shutters to open by time. They open only from receiver clears.
- Parking the white L or tall yellow vertical in the center before the first shutter is gone.
- Dragging late green pieces away from the side feeds.
Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 407 (quick clues)
- Make small fast clears first. They are more valuable than dragging large pieces around a closed shutter.
- Keep the white L and tall yellow vertical out of the middle corridor until the first shutter opens.
- After the lower shutter opens, move green receivers back to the side feeds. The top pipe is not the late solution.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Six columns wide. The visible upper room sits over two red shutters marked 4 and 7. A top-right pipe starts with red sand; a right-wall pipe feeds yellow; a left-wall pipe later feeds green; a lower-right side pipe handles the last green pieces. The opening pieces include a purple L in the upper-left, a long green bar, small red and green squares, a blue vertical, a white L, a tall yellow vertical and a purple vertical beside the right feed.
- Goal
- Clear exposed receivers to tick down both shutters, then use the expanded lower chamber for the red, yellow, blue and green finish. Once the lower shutter is gone, the important feeds are the side feeds, not the mostly empty top pipe.
- Opening
- At 2:00 the top-right red tray is active and the shutters already show 3 and 6 after early clears. More small receiver clears lower them to 2 and 5 by 1:57, the upper shutter reaches zero by 1:49, and the lower shutter is gone by 1:00.
- Danger Zone
- Do not block the central lane with the white L, the tall yellow vertical or the purple vertical while the lower shutter is still closed. Those pieces become the only traffic space once the middle room opens.
- Mechanics
- Two stacked shutters share the receiver-clear count. The first shutter opens the middle room; the second exposes the long lower chamber. The feed pressure shifts from red/yellow in the top room to green from the left and lower-right side pipes in the final seconds.
Frequently Asked Questions
What opens the two red shutters in Level 407?
Receiver clears. The upper shutter starts at 4 and is gone by about 1:49; the lower shutter starts at 7 and is gone by about 1:00.
Why does the last section feel slow?
The final sand is side-fed. Green receivers need to sit against the left and lower-right pipes rather than under the top pipe.
When does the level clear?
With about 0:08 left, one lower-right green bar is still filling; once it clears, the SAND BLOCKS clear animation appears at about 0:07.
