Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 425 Walkthrough

expert 9 colors

Level 425 opens with blue 4, purple 5 and green 3 clear-count shutters over an eight-column board. Clear the compact C4 lane first, open the blue room, keep the purple bottleneck clear for the key-marked receivers and red lock, then finish the white, cyan and orange L-shaped pieces through the side feeds with the board clearing around 0:06.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 425 — Full Solution

  1. At 2:40, move the small green receiver from the C4 stack into the right-feed landing cells C7-R6/C8-R6. Let the green sand settle until the receiver clears; do not drag the large green shutter.
  2. Use the yellow/key-marked receiver in the central lane at C4-R5/C4-R6 next. Its footprint must stay below the trough, not across C4-R7, so the next cyan and brown pieces can pass.
  3. Clear the short brown and cyan receivers around C4-R6 through C5-R8. These small clears take the green shutter from 3 to 1 and expose the first red lock without consuming the only central lane.
  4. Feed the blue bar into the C4-C5/R6 landing cells and keep the white L parked at C6-R10 through C8-R12. The blue shutter falls from 4 to 1 and opens around 2:01.
  5. After the blue room opens, move the yellow key-marked bar to C4-C5/R7 and the short blue receiver to C4-C5/R8. Wait after each clear so the next sand layer reaches the same chute before moving a long piece.
  6. Around 1:51, keep the purple shutter's lower edge clear at C5-R5. The shared count reads 4; use the newly exposed cyan, yellow and brown receivers rather than parking the white L across C4.
  7. Continue the middle-room clears until the purple shutter reads 2 around 1:41 and 1 around 1:31. Keep the brown square near C4-C5/R10 and the white L on the right side; those footprints are still needed for the lock and red-feed phase.
  8. When the red lock shows 3, send the next yellow key receiver through C4-R7/C5-R7 and let the key animation complete. Do not treat the lock as a sand reservoir or drag it through the central chute.
  9. After the purple shutter finally clears near the last minute, stage the remaining yellow and orange pieces along the upper-right route C6-C8/R1-R5. This opens the wide empty grid and stops the long shutters from covering the feed.
  10. At about 0:41, clear the short cyan and orange receivers from the middle rows first, leaving the white L at C6-C8/R9-R11 until the matching right-side feed is visible.
  11. At 0:21, place the white L under the right feed with its anchor at C7-R8. It is about 79%; wait for the settling sand to finish before touching the neighbouring cyan bar.
  12. During the final 0:11-0:06 phase, feed the cyan L from the left pipe and the orange square/L pieces from the right pipe. Leave the last receiver in its pipe footprint until the board empties and the clear animation starts.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Treating the numbered shutters as timed doors instead of clear-count gates.
  • Blocking the C4 chute with the white L or yellow key bar before the purple shutter is open.
  • Moving the 79% white L away from the right feed and losing the final settling window.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 425 (quick clues)

  • Clear the small C4 pieces before moving the large green, blue or white footprints.
  • Keep C4-R6 through C4-R8 open while the purple shutter is counting down.
  • Send yellow key receivers through the red lock phase before committing the white L.
  • At 0:21, let the white L finish near 79% instead of dragging it away from the right feed.

Layout
Eight columns by twelve rows. The blue shutter covers C1-C3/R1-R5 with badge 4, the purple shutter covers C5-C8/R1-R5 with badge 5, and the green shutter covers C1-C3/R7-R11 with badge 3. The opening C4 lane contains small purple, brown, green and yellow/key-marked receivers. The lower pieces include a cyan bar at C4-C5/R6, a yellow key-marked bar at C4-C5/R7, a purple bar at C4/R8, a blue bar at C4-C5/R9, a brown square at C4-C5/R10-R12, a white L at C6-C8/R10-R12 and a green L at C7-C8/R6-R9. The top trough is layered yellow over brown and later cyan; the side pipes cycle green, blue, red and orange.
Goal
Spend the compact receiver clears to remove the green, blue and purple shutters, then use the open grid to route key-marked yellow, white, cyan and orange receivers into the correct side-feed footprints. The final target is an empty board, not any one of the three numbered shutters.
Opening
At 2:40 the shutters read 4, 5 and 3. Move the small green and yellow receivers from the C4 lane into the right-feed cells C7-R6/C8-R6, then use the short cyan and brown pieces around C4-C5/R6-R8. The green counter reaches 1 by 2:31; the blue shutter reaches 1 by 2:11 and opens around 2:01.
Danger Zone
Keep the one-cell C4 chute clear. Parking the white L across C4-R9/C5-R12 or the yellow key bar across C4-R6 blocks the compact clears and delays the purple shutter. Later, do not leave a cyan bar or brown square across C4-R7/C6-R8 while the red lock is still waiting for its key.
Mechanics
The three numbered shutters share the receiver-clear progression. Yellow key-marked receivers release keys toward the red lock, whose visible count falls from 5 to 3. The late board changes feed colours and requires waits after the white L reaches about 79% and the final cyan/orange pieces settle.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which shutter opens first in Level 425?

The green 3 shutter is reduced first, then the blue 4 shutter opens around 2:01. The purple 5 shutter is the long late bottleneck.

  • What do the yellow key symbols do?

They mark receivers that release keys toward the red lock. The lock count falls from 5 to 3 during the middle phase.

  • When does Level 425 clear?

The final white, cyan and orange pieces settle in the last feed phase, and the SAND BLOCKS clear animation begins at about 0:06.
