Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 428 Walkthrough

expert 10 colors

Level 428 starts behind an orange shutter marked 3. Clear the stepped cyan opening, use the orange receiver under the central pipe, then follow the white, purple, brown and yellow feed changes; the late yellow receiver releases a time bonus before the final red, blue and magenta clear.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 428 — Full Solution

  1. At the 3:00 start, let the small lower-pocket receivers clear while the stepped cyan blocks fall from 3 to 2 and then 1. Do not move a large bar into the orange shutter yet.
  2. Around 2:42, slide the orange horizontal receiver from the lower pocket into the central position directly under the orange column. Wait for its 100% clear; the orange shutter drops from 3 to 2.
  3. Keep the central orange receiver under the pipe until the orange stream turns white. Clear the brown and purple receivers along the upper lip so the shutter reaches 1 and the cover disappears at about 2:22.
  4. Once the main chamber opens, use the white receiver under the upper pipe, then clear the blue square and the nearby red vertical. Keep the gold centre divider and the central landing cells open for the next receiver.
  5. From about 2:02 to 1:52, follow the pipe as it changes from white to purple. Place the small cyan receiver under the upper stream, then bring the purple horizontal receiver into the top feed and wait for each 100% clear.
  6. Between about 1:47 and 1:32, shuttle the large purple L and the blue square through the centre without covering the gold divider. Clear the small brown pieces on the upper row before moving the next large footprint.
  7. When the right-wall pipe turns brown around 1:27, move the brown L-shaped receiver into the right-side lane. Follow it with the brown horizontal receiver; the latter is visibly full at about 1:07.
  8. At about 1:02 the top feed turns yellow. Move the magenta L and the remaining blue pieces out of the upper centre so the long yellow receiver can sit directly under the yellow outlet.
  9. Around 0:52, stage the two long yellow receivers and the nearby red, purple and blue pieces in the open chamber. Keep the yellow receiver with the circular 5 badge aligned to the top-left yellow path.
  10. At about 0:37, the yellow receiver reaches 100% and releases the purple clock-like bonus; the timer jumps back up to about 0:43. Use that extra time to clear the remaining red receiver, blue bar and magenta pieces rather than rearranging the already-open board.
  11. Follow the last red feed through the upper pipe, then place the final blue receiver under the lower-right cyan outlet. Let the last magenta bar settle in the lower-left pocket; the board reaches the SAND BLOCKS clear animation at about 0:39 on the displayed timer.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Treating the orange shutter as a timed door instead of reducing it with receiver clears.
  • Blocking the centre divider with a long brown or purple receiver before the white and purple feeds have finished.
  • Using the long yellow receiver in a side lane and losing the late time bonus.

Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 428 (quick clues)

  • Use the small lower-pocket clears to reduce the orange shutter before moving large shapes.
  • Keep the gold centre divider and central landing cells open while the white and purple feeds are active.
  • Reserve the long yellow receiver for the top-left yellow feed; it produces the late time bonus.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
The opening is an eight-column stepped cyan reservoir above an orange shutter marked 3. A narrow orange column enters the centre, and the lower pocket holds small black and white receivers, brown bars, a red bar, a purple bar and a blue receiver. After the shutter clears, the main eight-column chamber has a gold centre divider, a purple/white/yellow top feed, a brown right-wall feed, a cyan lower-right feed, long yellow receivers with circular 5 badges, and late red, blue and magenta pieces.
Goal
Reduce the orange shutter with the small pocket clears and the central orange receiver. Then take the white and purple upper feeds, use the brown right-wall lane, reserve the long yellow receiver for the yellow feed and time bonus, and finish the remaining red, blue and magenta pieces.
Opening
The stepped cyan counters fall from 3 at 3:00 to 2 by about 2:57 and 1 by about 2:47. At about 2:42, move the orange horizontal receiver under the central orange column; it reaches 100% and drops the orange shutter from 3 to 2. The shutter reaches 1 and disappears around 2:22 after the nearby brown and purple receivers clear.
Danger Zone
Do not place a long brown or purple receiver across the gold centre divider while the orange shutter is still open. That narrow route is needed for the white and purple feeds. Later, do not waste the long yellow receiver in a side lane: it must sit under the yellow outlet and is the receiver that releases the visible clock bonus.
Mechanics
A large orange clear-count shutter gates the first phase. The top feed changes from orange to white, purple and yellow, while brown and cyan arrive from side pipes. The yellow receiver with a purple clock-like object increases the visible timer from about 0:37 to about 0:43 before the final red and blue phase.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What opens the orange shutter in Level 428?

The small lower-pocket clears plus the orange receiver placed directly under the central orange column. The shutter falls from 3 to 2 and then 1 before disappearing around 2:22.

  • Why should the centre stay open?

The white and purple feeds use the narrow route around the gold centre divider. A long brown or purple receiver placed there blocks the next feed.

  • What happens at about 0:37?

The long yellow receiver reaches 100% and releases a clock-like bonus. The displayed timer rises from about 0:37 to about 0:43, giving time for the red, blue and magenta finish.
