Sand Blocks level guide
Sand Blocks: Drop Puzzle Level 442 Walkthrough
Level 442 begins with red and green hoppers above a yellow shutter marked 3 and a lower counter marked 5. Lower the small counter to 1, let the shutter release, and reuse the narrow lanes through the red/green, pink and white/cyan feed changes before clearing the final orange pieces.

How to Solve Sand Blocks Level 442 — Full Solution
- At 2:05, clear the short yellow and green receivers in the lower opening pocket. Work around the small blue/cyan piece and let the lower counter move from 5 toward 1.
- Use the white vertical and short red receiver beside the lower pocket, keeping the large pink L on the lower-right wall. Do not cover the yellow shutter mouth with the orange L.
- When the lower counter reaches 1, finish the small green, yellow and cyan pieces around it and wait for the yellow shutter marked 3 to disappear.
- After the board opens around 1:37, route the red and green receivers from the outside walls first. Leave the central crossing open for the long orange and cyan footprints.
- During the red/green phase, move the short white and orange pieces into the upper and lower side lanes. Clear each one before using its former cells for the next colour.
- When the right feed changes toward pink/purple around 1:17, place the large pink L against the right-side lane and use the purple vertical in the centre only after the orange receiver has cleared.
- Work the middle orange, cyan and white pieces from top to bottom. Keep the left orange vertical and the lower pink L separate so neither blocks the other feed.
- Around 0:47, when the top feed is white/pink, place the white vertical directly below the white outlet and let it fill before moving the cyan horizontal. Use the open centre for the remaining orange L.
- Around 0:27-0:17, follow the white/cyan change: clear the cyan horizontal, then the remaining white block and purple vertical. Keep the orange Ls parked against the left and lower walls.
- Finish the last orange vertical and bottom orange bar after the white/cyan grains settle. The board is empty near 0:00 and enters the Level 442 completion transition.
Colors in this level:
Red, Green, Yellow, White, Cyan, Blue, Orange, Pink, Purple, Black
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Covering the yellow shutter mouth with the large pink L or orange L before the lower 5 counter has reached 1.
- Using a long piece across the centre during the red/green-to-pink feed change, which closes both narrow routes.
- Crossing the white vertical with the cyan horizontal in the final phase before the new feed has settled.
Quick Tips for Sand Blocks Level 442 (quick clues)
- Lower the small 5 counter with the short yellow, green, white and blue pieces before moving the large pink L.
- Let the yellow 3 shutter disappear before using the centre as a crossing.
- Keep the late white vertical, cyan horizontal and orange Ls in separate lanes.
Board notes 5 details
- Layout
- Approximately six columns wide with ten receiver rows. Red and green hoppers sit above a large yellow shutter marked 3, with a small lower counter panel marked 5 in the opening pocket. The starting room contains short yellow and green receivers, a blue/cyan bent receiver, orange vertical and L-shaped pieces, white blocks, a red square, a purple vertical and a large pink L. The open phase reuses these lanes through red/green, red/pink, white/pink and white/cyan feeds.
- Goal
- Clear the small yellow, green, white and blue pieces until the lower counter falls from 5 to 1 and the yellow shutter releases. Preserve the central crossing for the colour changes, then finish the separate orange, white and cyan lanes.
- Opening
- At 2:05 work the short yellow and green pieces around the lower opening counter, then use the white vertical and short red receiver. Keep the large pink L against the lower-right wall and leave the orange L out of the shutter mouth.
- Danger Zone
- A large pink L or long orange receiver placed across the central crossing while the yellow shutter still shows 3 or the lower panel is above 1 blocks both hoppers and strands the small white/cyan receivers. Late in the run, crossing the white vertical with the cyan horizontal prevents the final feed from settling.
- Mechanics
- The opening combines a yellow 3 shutter with a lower counter that visibly drops from 5 to 1. After release, the feeds change from red/green to red/pink, then white/pink and white/cyan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What opens the main room?
Clear the small receivers around the lower counter until its visible value falls from 5 to 1, then allow the yellow shutter marked 3 to release.
Why does the order after the shutter matter?
The same narrow board is reused by red/green, pink and white/cyan feeds. A long orange or pink footprint can close the crossing needed by the next colour.
What is the final priority?
Keep the white vertical, cyan horizontal and orange Ls in separate lanes. Let the white/cyan grains settle before clearing the last orange pieces.
