Block Out level guide
Block Out Level 9 Walkthrough
Block Out Level 9 is a twin-tower puzzle with a cramped middle notch. Clear the right yellow exit first, give blue the center cavity, then rotate green, pink, and red clockwise around the frame.
Board Notes
- Layout
- Pink and red blocks sit in the top corners, blue begins in the center and lower-left, green sits in the lower-right and center, and yellow crosses the mid-left and mid-right. The board has a narrow notch at the top and another at the bottom, plus several edge counters marked `6`, `8`, `4`, and `2`.
- Goal
- Break the twin-tower symmetry by opening the right side and then unwind the center clockwise.
- Opening
- The mid-right yellow exit is the first clean release, and the center blue block should use the pocket it creates immediately.
- Danger Zone
- If the center blue block waits too long, pink and green end up pinning each other on opposite sides of the middle notch.
- Mechanics
- Level 9 looks mirrored, but the center cavity decides the whole route. One side has to give first.
Quick Tips for Block Out Level 9 (spoiler-free)
- Use the right yellow exit to break the symmetry.
- The center blue block should move as soon as the notch opens.
- If the board feels stuck, look for the color with the cleanest path and use that to regain space.
How to Solve Block Out Level 9 — Full Solution
- Slide the mid-right yellow block out through the yellow gate on the right wall.
- Move the center blue block into the new opening so the middle notch is no longer blocked.
- Rotate the lower-right green block downward and then pull the lower-left blue block into its own lane.
- Use the freed center to shuffle the pink blocks across the top and middle rows while the edge counters shrink.
- Let the lower red block settle into the center once green and blue are no longer crossing it.
- Save the two top-corner red blocks until the upper lanes are clear.
- Finish by sending the red pair across the top exits and letting the final blue block drain through the last blue finish.
Colors in this level:
Pink, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaving the center blue block parked after the right yellow exit is already open.
- Trying to force one of the top red blocks before the lower green and blue pieces have rotated.
Frequently Asked Questions
What move breaks open Block Out Level 9?
The first break is the mid-right yellow exit. That move creates the cavity the center blue block needs.
Why does Level 9 stop feeling symmetrical so fast?
Because the middle notch is too tight for both halves to move together. Once yellow leaves on the right, the whole board rotates clockwise from that side.
