Colony Flow! Level 166 Walkthrough

hard 7 colors

Colony Flow Level 166 clears a red-capped red-and-blue runner portrait; the key is to launch cyan 400 and red 25 first, let the two cyan perimeter streams open, and delay the mixed yellow, dark, and final fragment cleanup.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 166 — Full Solution

  1. Tap light-cyan 400, then red 25; wait for the first light-cyan and red ants to leave the central hole, with the opening counters falling near 395 and 22.
  2. When that pair has spread along the lower frame, tap light-cyan 149. Let the 400 and 149 streams share the outside loop instead of opening yellow 45 or blue 43 into the crowded crossing.
  3. After the cyan train has crossed the hole and one buffer pad is still free, tap cream 23 and pale-yellow 40 to open the left pale pixels and the next lower route.
  4. Follow the observed yellow pass with yellow 45, yellow 50, and yellow 49, waiting for each group to reach the hole before tapping the next card; this removes the upper-left mass and lower yellow leg.
  5. Add blue 43 and the later red 45 after the yellow route separates. Let blue strip the diagonal torso and right-side blocks while red removes the coat and lower-left red pixels.
  6. Use black 15 and the later dark 20 / 40 groups for the shoes, head pixels, and isolated dark squares, keeping white 44 available for the pale left-hand fragments.
  7. Continue the late mixed route through the remaining cyan tail, cream/white pieces, blue fragments, and yellow/red counters; pause whenever two colors meet on the bottom edge.
  8. Finish the visible end sequence red 1, dark 2, then yellow 3 and its remaining 2, and wait for the ants to complete the perimeter loop. The empty frame then changes to the Level 166 victory screen.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Opening blue 43 or yellow 45 / 50 / 49 while the cyan 400 and 149 streams still cover the lower route, which queues the runner fragments over the central hole.
  • Using all five white buffers during the first cyan/red wave, leaving no staging space for cream 23, white 44, and the late dark groups.
  • Stopping when the runner has broken into a small red-blue shape and skipping the final red 1, dark 2, and yellow 3 / 2 cleanup.

Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 166 (spoiler-free)

  • Start light-cyan 400 and red 25, then wait for the first ants to leave the hole before adding light-cyan 149.
  • Keep one of the five white pads empty while cyan and red traffic crosses the lower edge; delay blue 43 and the yellow family.
  • The runner is not finished when only a small torso remains: follow the end counters red 1, dark 2, and yellow 3 / 2 before waiting for Victory.

Layout
The opening art is a red-capped red-and-blue runner/hero on a light-cyan grid, with a large yellow upper mass, blue diagonal torso, yellow lower legs, and black-purple accents. One brown hole sits below the frame and five white buffer pads start empty. Visible stacks are cream 23, yellow 45, light-cyan 400, light-cyan 149; pale-yellow 40, black 15, red 25, blue 43; then white 44, yellow 50, and yellow 49.
Goal
Route the two cyan streams around the outside of the picture, then send yellow through the broad background and legs, red and blue through the runner body, and black/cream/white through the isolated dark and pale pixels. The final condition is an empty frame after the last red, dark, yellow, and blue ants reach the central hole.
Opening
Tap light-cyan 400, then red 25 almost immediately; the source shows the first counters beginning near cyan 395 and red 22. After that pair has reached the hole and started the perimeter loop, tap light-cyan 149 while keeping the five white buffers mostly open.
Danger Zone
Do not open blue 43 or yellow 45 / 50 / 49 while the 400 and 149 cyan streams still form a solid band across the lower edge. That fills the route around the hole and strands the red body pixels; keep at least one white buffer pad free.
Mechanics
Long perimeter-traffic routing with layered pixel-art completion: a cyan highway first, then yellow field and legs, red/blue character fragments, dark/pale cleanup, and a late mixed finish after the runner has already fragmented.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does light-cyan 400 go first in Colony Flow Level 166?

It is the first long sky/perimeter stream in the source video. Starting it with red 25 opens the lower route before the yellow and blue body cards compete for the same hole.

  • When should I tap blue 43 and the yellow stacks?

Wait until cyan 400 and 149 have crossed the lower edge and the route has a visible gap. Then yellow 45 / 50 / 49 can remove the large yellow regions before blue 43 strips the diagonal body.

  • What remains after the runner picture looks mostly gone?

The source still shows red, dark, yellow, and blue ants around the frame. Follow the last red 1, dark 2, and yellow 3 / 2 groups and wait for the empty-board transition.
