Colony Flow! Level 28 Walkthrough

medium 7 colors

Colony Flow Level 28 is a wide five-cell top row plus 3x3 source grid cat face board where the yellow body, dark outline, light cyan background, silver face plate, two small pink cheeks, small red bow, and blue collar all share the same two-hole ant path, and a single empty white buffer slot sits on the left of the top row as the only staging space.

Board Notes

Layout
The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art cat/shiba face with a yellow body, a large white face plate, two black eyes, pink cheek cells, a small red bow on the left side of the face, and a small blue collar on the right side of the face, all sitting on a light cyan background. Below the dirt strip the working area is a five-cell top row plus a three-row source grid. The 5-cell top row opens as empty white buffer, yellow 18, black 18, silver 16, cyan 26. The middle row reads pink 6, black 33, cyan 35. The bottom row reads silver 35, pink 8, yellow 40. A red 19 stack is parked just below the source grid in the third column, and three small grey question-mark guard tiles are pinned underneath.
Goal
Yellow cubes from the yellow 18, yellow 40, and yellow 25 refill that rises from below must fill the yellow body, the ears, and the legs. Black cubes from the black 18, black 33, and any black refill must close the dark outline wrapping the cat silhouette, the two eye cells, and the small dark accent cells. Cyan cubes from the cyan 26, cyan 35, and cyan 40 refill must fill the light cyan background and the pale blue sky squares. Silver/grey cubes from the silver 16 and silver 35 must fill the white face plate and the silver chin highlights. Pink cubes from the pink 6, pink 8, and any pink refill must close the two small pink cheek cells. Red cubes from the red 19 must fill the small red bow on the left side of the face.
Opening
The first clean move is the yellow 18 stack at the top row, second cell from the left. Yellow 18 sits directly above pink 6 in the middle row, and the yellow body is the largest single color region in the pixel art, so opening with yellow 18 dispatches a yellow ant up the dirt path and the cat body starts to close in the first beat. The second confirmed tap is the black 18 stack right next to it in the third cell of the top row, which sends black ants up the same dirt path so the dark outline of the cat and the two eye cells start closing at the same time. The third confirmed tap is the cyan 26 stack at the right end of the top row, which starts filling the cyan background so the cat silhouette is no longer floating on a blank canvas. The player waits for the yellow, black, and cyan ants to clear the dirt path before tapping the next round. The silver 16 and the empty white buffer are held for one beat so the yellow, black, and cyan waves can move together without the silver wave crowding the route.
Danger Zone
The route most often collapses around the empty white buffer slot on the left end of the top row. The video shows it staying empty during the early beats, but it is the only staging cell on the board, and filling it with a silver 16 click or a stray pink 6 click strands the late cyan or pink refill that needs to rise into the top row and stalls the perimeter fill. The other trap is firing the red 19 stack parked in the third column before the silver 16, pink 6, and silver 35 have cleared the face region, because red ants use the same dirt path as the silver, pink, and yellow ants and a premature red click strands red ants on the still-empty face plate and leaves the red bow unfilled for the rest of the run. Tapping the pink 6 stack in the middle row before the yellow 18 is fully drained is also bad, because pink and yellow ants use the same dirt path and a premature pink click strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells. The three grey question-mark guard tiles underneath the source grid look like early targets but are actually blockers that have to be cleared by routing the colors around them, not by tapping them.
Mechanics
Level 28 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art completion goal and a two-hole ant path. The 5-cell top row plus 3x3 source grid is the widest working area the early run has used so far, with twelve numbered stacks plus the red 19 and three guard tiles, so almost every tap immediately changes a route. The cat/shiba pixel art has five main color families (yellow body, black outline, cyan background, silver face plate, pink cheeks) plus the small red bow and the blue collar accent, and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. The empty white buffer is the only staging cell on the board, so the last small red 19, the late pink refill, and the cyan refill from the bottom row still need a clean delivery after the source grid looks clear. The two ant holes on the dirt path mean ants can return from either side, so the player can route a stack from the left or the right depending on which hole is currently clear, and the three booster buttons at the bottom are unused for this run.

Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 28 (spoiler-free)

  • Tap the yellow 18, black 18, and cyan 26 from the top row in that order before you touch any other color. The yellow body, the dark outline, and the cyan background are the three biggest regions in the pixel art, and they have to close together before any face accent is allowed onto the dirt path.
  • Keep the empty white buffer slot on the left end of the top row open for the late cyan or pink refill. Filling it with a silver 16 or pink 6 click strands the refill behind the active ants and leaves the perimeter half-empty even when the source grid looks clear.
  • Save the red 19 for the final beat. The small red bow only sits in cells that are still open while the silver face plate is closing, and a premature red click strands red ants on the still-empty face cells and leaves the bow unfilled for the rest of the run.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 28 — Full Solution

  1. Tap the yellow 18 stack at the top row, second cell from the left. Yellow ants walk the dirt path up to the cat body in the pixel art, and the yellow body cells start closing in the first beat. Keep the empty white buffer slot on the far left of the top row untouched so the late cyan or pink refill can land there. Wait for the first yellow ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack.
  2. Tap the black 18 stack in the third cell of the top row. Black ants walk the same dirt path and start closing the dark outline wrapping the cat silhouette and the two black eye cells. Yellow and black share the path, so leave one beat between them so the body cells are mostly colored before the outline starts filling.
  3. Tap the cyan 26 stack at the right end of the top row. Cyan ants walk the dirt path and start filling the cyan background and the pale blue sky squares in the upper-right of the art. Cyan shares the path with yellow and black, so wait for the yellow and black waves to clear the perimeter before tapping cyan.
  4. Tap the silver 16 stack in the fourth cell of the top row, then the silver 35 stack in the first cell of the bottom row. Silver ants walk the dirt path and start closing the white face plate cells and the silver chin highlights on the cat. Silver and yellow share the path, so leave one beat between the silver waves and the next yellow refill.
  5. Tap the cyan 35 stack in the third cell of the middle row, then any cyan refill that rises from the bottom row. Cyan ants walk the dirt path and close the last cyan background cells and the two pale blue sky squares. Cyan and silver share the path, so leave one beat between them.
  6. Tap the pink 6 stack in the first cell of the middle row, then the pink 8 stack in the second cell of the bottom row. Pink ants walk the dirt path and start closing the two small pink cheek cells on the cat face. Tapping pink before the yellow body is at least half-closed strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells, so wait for the yellow wave to clear.
  7. Tap the red 19 stack parked in the third column below the source grid. Red ants walk the dirt path and close the small red bow on the left side of the cat face. Red and pink share the path, so save the red 19 tap for the late game when the face plate and the cheeks are already colored.
  8. Finish by tapping the black 33 stack in the second cell of the middle row, the yellow 40 stack in the third cell of the bottom row, and any yellow, black, or cyan refill that rises from the lower rows. Black ants close the last dark outline cells and the small dark accent cells, yellow ants close the last body cells and the ears, and cyan ants close the last sky squares. The cat/shiba silhouette is complete once the last matching cube lands and the level banner appears.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Filling the empty white buffer slot on the left end of the top row with a silver 16 or pink 6 click in the early game, which strands the late cyan or pink refill behind the active ants and leaves the perimeter half-empty even when the source grid looks clear.
  • Firing the red 19 stack in the third column before the silver 16, pink 6, and silver 35 have cleared the face region, which strands red ants on the still-empty face plate and leaves the small red bow unfilled for the rest of the run.
  • Tapping the pink 6 stack in the middle row before the yellow 18 is fully drained, which strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the cyan refill that was waiting behind them in the source grid.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I start Colony Flow Level 28 without clogging the trail?

The clean opening is the yellow 18 stack in the second cell of the top row, then the black 18 right next to it, and then the cyan 26 at the right end of the top row. The yellow body, the dark outline, and the cyan background are the three biggest regions in the pixel art, and they have to close together before any face accent is allowed onto the dirt path. Tap the silver 16, the pink 6, and the red 19 only after the first three waves have cleared the perimeter of the cat.

  • What goes wrong if I send the red 19 stack too soon in Colony Flow Level 28?

The red 19 stack in the third column uses the same dirt path as the silver 16, silver 35, pink 6, pink 8, and yellow 18 stacks, and the small red bow on the left side of the face only sits in cells that are still open while the silver face plate and the pink cheeks are closing. If red ants are sent before the face plate is at least half-closed, they stall on the still-empty face cells, the silver and pink refills waiting in the source grid cannot reach the face, and the cat silhouette stays half-finished even after the source grid looks clear.
