Colony Flow! level guide
Colony Flow! Level 29 Walkthrough
Colony Flow Level 29 is a wide four-row crowned-frog board where a green grass/decor border wrapping the top, left, and right edges of the silhouette, a rounded white body, two small dark eyes and a thin dark outline, pink cheek, hand, and leg cells, a small gold/yellow crown, a brown ground cell under the frog, and a few cyan accent cells all share the same single ant hole.
Board Notes
- Layout
- The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art white frog wearing a small gold/yellow crown: a rounded white body, two small dark eyes, pink cheek and hand cells, two short pink legs dangling below the body, and a green grass/decor border wrapping the top, left, and right edges of the silhouette. Below the dirt strip the working area is a four-row stack grid with a 5-cell top row plus three source rows underneath. The 5-cell top row opens as black 30, green 21, empty white, empty white, empty white. The second row reads white 38, yellow 10, white 40, brown 15. The third row reads black 40, green 32, orange 10, cyan 35. The fourth row reads white 35, white 35, yellow 10.
- Goal
- Green cubes from the green 21 and the green 32 stacks must fill the green grass/decor border wrapping the top, left, and right edges of the silhouette. White cubes from the white 38, white 40, and the two white 35 stacks must close the rounded white body. Black cubes from the black 30 and black 40 stacks must fill the two small dark eyes and the thin dark outline of the frog. Pink cubes from the pink refill that rises from the lower rows must fill the pink cheek and hand cells plus the two short pink legs. Yellow cubes from the yellow 10 and yellow 10 stacks plus the orange 10 stack must close the gold/yellow crown on the frog's head. Brown cubes from the brown 15 stack must fill the small brown ground/base cell under the frog, and the cyan 35 stack must close the few cyan accent cells inside the silhouette.
- Opening
- The board starts with the green 21 stack in the top row, second cell from the left. Green 21 is the only green stack in the top row and the frog has a continuous green grass/decor border wrapping three sides of the silhouette, so opening with green 21 dispatches a green ant up the dirt path and the side grass cells start closing in the first beat. The second confirmed tap is the black 30 stack in the top row, first cell, which sends black ants up the same dirt path to start closing the two small dark eyes and the thin dark outline of the frog. The third confirmed tap is the green 32 stack in the third row, which keeps the green wave moving so the grass border closes together before any white body ant is allowed onto the path. The black 40, the orange 10, the cyan 35, the yellow 10, the white 38, the white 40, and the brown 15 are all held for one beat so the green and black ants clear the perimeter of the frog before any body, crown, or ground color is sent.
- Danger Zone
- The first real trap is the three empty white buffer slots in the top row (cells 3, 4, and 5 of the 5-cell top row). The video shows those three slots being filled with rising refills (white, cyan, white, white) in quick succession, and if the player taps those rising refills before the green border and the dark eyes are at least half-closed, white and cyan ants get stranded behind active green and black ants on the perimeter and the small cyan accent cells never close. The other trap is firing the brown 15 from the second row while black ants are still walking the dirt path up to the eyes, because brown ants use the same dirt path as the black ants and a premature brown click strands brown ants on the still-empty base cell under the frog. Tapping the orange 10 from the third row before the green border is mostly closed is also bad, because orange ants cross the head cells that the crown has to fill and stall on the still-empty crown cells at the top of the art. Letting the pink refill rise into the top row before the white body is at least half-closed strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the yellow and orange crown refills waiting behind it.
- Mechanics
- Level 29 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art completion goal and a green-first opener flavor. The 5-cell top row plus three source rows underneath (4 + 4 + 3) makes this one of the wider source grids the run has used so far, with thirteen numbered stacks and three empty white buffer slots, so almost every tap immediately changes a route. The crowned frog pixel art has seven main color families (green grass border, white body, black eyes and outline, pink cheeks and legs, yellow and orange crown, brown ground, cyan accent) plus the white refill that rises into the empty buffer, and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. The 5-cell top row is the active queue, and the three rows underneath it act as the supply that refills the active row as stacks are sent, so the last white refill, the last cyan refill, and the final pink refill still need a clean delivery after the bottom of the grid looks clear.
Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 29 (spoiler-free)
- Tap the green 21, black 30, green 32, and black 40 in that order so the green grass border and the two dark eyes close together before any white body, gold crown, or brown ground color is allowed onto the dirt path.
- Keep the three empty white buffer slots in the top row open for the rising white and cyan refills. The video shows those slots being filled with refills in quick succession, and filling them with a yellow, orange, or pink click strands the white and cyan refills and leaves the cyan accent cells and the back body cells empty.
- Save the orange 10, the two yellow 10 stacks, the brown 15, the cyan 35, and the pink refill for the final cleanup beats. They are the last accent colors on the crowned frog, and the win cue is the full crowned frog image, not an empty play area.
How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 29 — Full Solution
- Tap the green 21 stack in the top row, second cell from the left. Green ants walk the dirt path up to the green grass/decor border wrapping the top, left, and right edges of the frog, and the side grass cells start closing in the first beat. Wait for the first green ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack.
- Tap the black 30 stack in the top row, first cell. Black ants walk the same dirt path and start closing the two small dark eyes and the thin dark outline of the frog. Green and black share the path, so leave one beat between them so the grass border is mostly closed before the eyes start filling.
- Tap the green 32 stack in the third row, second cell from the left. A second green wave walks the dirt path and the green grass border keeps closing while the first green ants are still on the perimeter. Keep the three empty white buffer slots in the top row open for the white and cyan refills that will rise from the lower rows.
- Tap the black 40 stack in the third row, first cell. Black ants walk the dirt path and finish the two dark eyes plus the thin dark outline. Black and green share the path, so leave one beat between the black wave and the next green refill that rises into the active queue.
- Wait for the green and black ant waves to clear the dirt path between the ant hole and the bottom edge of the frog. Do not tap the white 38, the white 40, the orange 10, the brown 15, or the yellow 10 yet, and do not let the pink refill rise into the active queue during this beat.
- Tap the white 38 stack in the second row, first cell, then the white 40 stack in the second row, third cell, then the two white 35 stacks from the fourth row as they rise into the active queue. White ants walk the dirt path and start closing the rounded white body of the frog. White shares the path with every other color, so leave one beat between each white wave so the body cells keep closing.
- Tap the orange 10 stack in the third row, third cell, then the two yellow 10 stacks from the second and fourth rows. Orange and yellow ants walk the dirt path and start filling the small gold/yellow crown on the frog's head. Orange and white share the path, so leave one beat between the orange and yellow wave and the next white refill.
- Finish by tapping the brown 15 stack in the second row, fourth cell, then the cyan 35 stack in the third row, fourth cell, then the pink refill that rises from the lower rows. Brown ants fill the small brown ground cell under the frog, cyan ants close the few cyan accent cells inside the silhouette, and pink ants light up the pink cheek, hand, and leg cells. The crowned frog silhouette is fully colored once the last pink cube is delivered and the level banner appears.
Colors in this level:
Green, Black, White, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Brown, Cyan
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Filling the three empty white buffer slots in the top row with a yellow, orange, or pink click before the white and cyan refills rise into them, which strands white and cyan ants behind active green and black ants on the perimeter and leaves the cyan accent cells and the back body cells empty.
- Firing the brown 15 from the second row while black ants are still walking the dirt path up to the eyes, which strands brown ants on the still-empty base cell under the frog and blocks the pink refill that needs to reach the cheek and leg cells.
- Tapping the orange 10 from the third row before the green border is mostly closed, which sends orange ants across the head cells that the crown has to fill and stalls them on the still-empty crown cells at the top of the art.
Frequently Asked Questions
What opening order works best in Colony Flow Level 29?
Begin with the green 21 stack in the top row, second cell from the left, then the black 30 right next to it, then the green 32 in the third row, and then the black 40 in the third row. This closes the green grass/decor border and the two dark eyes plus the thin dark outline together before any white body, gold crown, or brown ground color is allowed onto the dirt path. Tap the white 38, white 40, orange 10, brown 15, or yellow 10 only after the green and black waves have cleared the perimeter of the frog.
Why should I hold the brown 15 stack in Colony Flow Level 29?
The brown 15 stack in the second row uses the same dirt path as the black 30 and black 40 stacks, and the small brown ground cell under the frog only sits in a cell that is still open while the dark eyes and the thin dark outline are closing. If brown ants are sent before the eyes and outline are at least half-closed, they stall on the still-empty base cell, the pink refill that is waiting in the lower rows cannot reach the cheek and leg cells, and the crowned frog silhouette stays half-finished even after the bottom of the grid looks clear. Tap brown 15 only after the black wave has cleared the perimeter of the head.
