Colony Flow! Level 27 Walkthrough

medium 6 colors

Colony Flow Level 27 is a small house pixel-art board where a pink/red striped roof, a white square window, a green body, a small yellow door, two pink flowers on the grass to the left and right of the house, a tiny red flag on top, and a thin black outline all share the same single ant hole, and the only real staging space is one empty white buffer slot at the right end of the 5-cell top row.

Board Notes

Layout
The board opens in portrait view. The top half of the screen holds a pixel-art small house: a pink/red striped roof with a tiny red flag on top, a square white window in the center of the wall, a green body/wall, a small yellow door under the window, two small pink flowers on the grass to the left and right of the house, a thin black outline wrapping the whole silhouette, and a pale cream background filling the rest of the art frame. Below the dirt strip the working area is a four-row stack grid with a 5-cell top row plus three source rows of 3 cells each. The 5-cell top row opens as black 6, red 8, red 11, white 24, empty white. The second row reads green 28, green 25, black 30. The third row reads white 25, pink 25, green 25. The fourth row reads black 30, black 30, yellow 8.
Goal
Black cubes from the black 6 in the top row plus the black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows must trace the dark outline wrapping the house silhouette. Red cubes from the red 8 and red 11 in the top row must fill the pink/red striped roof and the tiny red flag. White cubes from the white 24 in the top row plus the white 25 in the third row must close the white square window in the center of the wall. Green cubes from the green 28 and green 25 in the second row plus the green 25 in the third row must fill the green body of the house. Yellow cubes from the yellow 8 in the fourth row plus the small yellow refill must close the small yellow door under the window. Pink cubes from the pink 25 in the third row plus the pink 32 refill that rises from below must close the two small pink flowers on the grass.
Opening
The first stable opener is the black 6 stack at the far left of the 5-cell top row. Black 6 is the smallest black stack in the active queue and the dark outline of the house is the most important framing feature, so opening with black 6 dispatches a black ant up the dirt path and the left edge of the house outline starts to close in the first beat. The second confirmed tap is the red 11 stack in the top row, third cell, which sends red ants up the same dirt path and starts filling the pink/red striped roof. The third confirmed tap is the white 24 stack in the top row, fourth cell, which starts sending white ants toward the white square window in the center of the wall. The red 8 stack in the top row is held for one beat so the small red flag and the deeper red roof stripes can be delivered after the first red wave has cleared the perimeter. The empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row is kept open so the green and pink refills that rise from the second and third rows can land cleanly. The big black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows are held for the outline close so the dark outline cells do not strand on the still-empty body cells.
Danger Zone
The riskiest point is the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows. The dark outline of the small house is the last cell family to fill correctly, and tapping any of the three black 30 stacks too early sends black ants up the same dirt path before the roof, window, and body cells are open to receive them. The black ants then stall on the still-empty body cells around the wall and the pink 32 refill and the small yellow refill waiting behind them are blocked. A close second trap is firing the yellow 8 stack in the bottom-right of the fourth row before the green body cells are at least half-closed, because yellow ants use the same dirt path as the red and green ants and a premature yellow click strands yellow ants on the still-empty body cells around the door. Tapping the pink 25 stack in the third row before the green body is mostly closed strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the pink 32 refill that needs to land in the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row. Letting the 5-cell top row refill to all five active stacks with no open slot also stalls the queue, because the player needs at least one free slot to queue the next required color and to receive the pink 32 refill.
Mechanics
Level 27 is a multi-stack color-routing board combined with a pixel-art completion goal and a single ant hole. The small house pixel art has six main color families (black outline, red roof, white window, green body, yellow door, pink flowers) and the player has to keep all of those routes staged at once. The 5-cell top row is the active queue that pre-holds the black 6, red 8, red 11, and white 24 from the start, and the three 3-cell source rows underneath it act as the supply that refills the active row as stacks are sent, so the last small yellow refill, the pink 32 refill, and the late black 30 outline waves still need a clean delivery after the bottom of the grid looks clear. Compared to Level 26's tall honey pot board, the small house is shorter and wider, with a much larger green body region and a black outline that has to be the very last color sent.

Quick Tips for Colony Flow! Level 27 (spoiler-free)

  • Tap the black 6 stack at the far left of the 5-cell top row first, then the red 11 stack in the third cell, and then the white 24 stack in the fourth cell. This closes the left edge of the dark outline, the pink/red striped roof, and the white window together before any large refill is allowed onto the dirt path.
  • Keep the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row open through the first four beats. The video shows a black refill, a green refill, and a pink 32 refill rising into that slot, and the two pink flowers on the grass only stay useful if the buffer slot stays open for the pink 32 refill.
  • Save the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows for the very final cleanup beat. Black ants use the same dirt path as the red, white, green, and yellow ants, and a premature black click strands black ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the pink 32 refill and the small yellow refill waiting behind them.

How to Solve Colony Flow! Level 27 — Full Solution

  1. Tap the black 6 stack at the far left of the 5-cell top row. Black ants walk the dirt path up to the left edge of the small house, and the left side of the dark outline starts to close in the first beat. Wait for the first black ants to clear the bottom edge of the art before tapping the next stack. A black refill rises into the empty white buffer slot in this beat.
  2. Tap the red 11 stack in the top row, third cell. Red ants walk the same dirt path and start filling the pink/red striped roof across the top of the house. Leave one beat between this red wave and the next red wave so the roof stripes do not all close at once. The empty white buffer slot stays open for the green and pink refills that will rise from the lower rows.
  3. Tap the white 24 stack in the top row, fourth cell. White ants walk the dirt path and start filling the white square window in the center of the wall. The white 25 in the third row is held for one beat so the white wave does not jam the dirt path before the red roof has cleared the perimeter.
  4. Tap the red 8 stack in the top row, second cell, plus any red refill that lands in the active row. Red ants keep filling the deeper red roof stripes and the tiny red flag on top of the house. Red and white use the same dirt path, so let each red wave clear the path before tapping the next red.
  5. Wait for the black, red, and white ant waves to clear the dirt path between the ant hole and the bottom edge of the small house. Do not tap the green 28 yet, and do not tap the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows during this beat.
  6. Tap the green 28 stack in the second row, first cell, then the green 25 stack in the second row, second cell, then the green 25 stack in the third row, third cell, then the green refill that lands in the empty white buffer slot. Green ants walk the dirt path and start filling the green body of the house. Green shares the path with red and white, so leave one beat between the green waves.
  7. Tap the pink 25 stack in the third row, second cell, then the pink 32 refill that lands in the empty white buffer slot. Pink ants walk the dirt path and start closing the two small pink flowers on the grass to the left and right of the house. Tapping pink before the green body is mostly closed strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the pink 32 refill waiting behind them.
  8. Finish by tapping the yellow 8 stack in the fourth row, third cell, the small yellow refill that lands in the active row, the white 25 stack in the third row, first cell, the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows, and the late black refill. Yellow ants close the small yellow door under the window, white ants close the last white window cells, and black ants close the last dark outline cells wrapping the house silhouette. The small house silhouette is complete once the last matching cube lands and the level banner appears.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Firing any of the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows before the red roof, the white window, the green body, and the two pink flowers are at least half-closed, which strands black ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the pink 32 refill and the small yellow refill waiting behind them.
  • Tapping the yellow 8 stack in the bottom-right of the fourth row before the green body cells are at least half-closed, which sends yellow ants across still-empty body cells around the door and stalls them on the perimeter while the small yellow refill waits behind them.
  • Tapping the pink 25 stack in the third row before the green body is mostly closed, which strands pink ants on the still-empty body cells and blocks the pink 32 refill that needs to land in the empty white buffer slot at the right end of the top row.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which stack should I lead with in Colony Flow Level 27?

Lead with the black 6 stack at the far left of the 5-cell top row, then the red 11 stack in the third cell, and then the white 24 stack in the fourth cell. This closes the left edge of the dark outline, the pink/red striped roof, and the white window together before any large refill is allowed onto the dirt path. Save the three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows for the very final cleanup beat.

  • What breaks when the black 30 stacks goes early in Colony Flow Level 27?

The three black 30 stacks in the second and fourth rows use the same dirt path as the black 6, red 8, red 11, white 24, green 28, green 25, green 25, pink 25, and yellow 8 stacks, and the dark outline cells only sit in cells that are still open while the roof, window, body, door, and flowers are closing. If black ants are sent before the red, white, green, pink, and yellow waves have cleared the perimeter, they stall on the still-empty body cells, the pink 32 refill and the small yellow refill cannot reach the flowers and the door, and the small house silhouette stays half-finished even after the bottom of the grid looks clear. Tap the three black 30 stacks only after the green body, the white window, the two pink flowers, and the small yellow door are mostly closed.
