Magic Sort Level 292 Walkthrough

hard Target: 36 moves 10 colors

Magic Sort Level 292 is a two-tier, eleven-bottle cork cascade gated by twin wooden vaults on the left (green at the top, cyan at the bottom) and three tall black "?" corks at T5, B5 and B6. Each vault is a two-stage lock — cracking the box only drops a fresh corked bottle into the freed slot, so the green and cyan pour that pops the vault also has to repeat against the follow-up cork. Walk the green vault → green follow-up → cyan vault → cyan follow-up → magenta → brown → blue → yellow in that padlock order, banking the teal segments buried in T3 first so the cyan follow-up cork has a clean teal trigger waiting.

How to Solve Magic Sort Level 292 — Full Solution

  1. Pour the full green from T2 into the top-left green wooden vault — the padlock cracks, the green checkmark stamps the cap, and a new green corked bottle drops into the freed T2 position. Pour the B2 cyan drop into the B1 cyan wooden vault to crack the second padlock, and a fresh cyan corked bottle lands at the freed B2 position.
  2. Peel the dark teal top off T3 (dark teal, dark teal, orange, dark teal) into the new B2 cyan cork so the teal bank starts building, then dock the second dark teal segment of T3 on top of it so the teal lane is two segments deep before the orange middle of T3 is exposed.
  3. Pour the banked teal from B2 onto the cyan follow-up cork to pop it — the released color drops into the B2 slot and starts the cyan lane. Now walk the banked teal back onto a clean T2 neighbor so the teal lane stays single-color.
  4. Pour the released green from the T2 follow-up cork back onto the T1 vault's cap so the green stack is banked cleanly, then peel the red top off T4 (red, orange, red, magenta) onto a clean bottom-row buffer and dock the next red segment on top of it so the red lane is two deep.
  5. Peel the orange middle of T4 onto the B3 orange stack to start the orange lane, then peel the orange middle of B3 onto the orange lane and pour the cyan bottom of B3 onto the B2 cyan lane so the cyan stack is two deep.
  6. Pop the magenta cork at T5 with the magenta bottom of T4 — the released magenta drops into T5 and starts the magenta lane. Walk the magenta from T4 onto T5 so the magenta stack is two deep.
  7. Pop the brown cork at B5 with the brown segment you peel from the cleared B3/B4 orange stack, then pour the blue bottom of B4 onto the B6 blue cork to pop the blue seal and start the blue lane.
  8. Drain the remaining orange top of B4 onto the orange lane, the dark teal bottom of T3 onto the teal lane, and the yellow last from the cleaned-up T4 stack onto the T5 cork to pop the final yellow seal — top off green, cyan, teal, red, orange, magenta, brown, blue, yellow, and the leftover purple so all eleven bottles end on a single color.

Colors in this level:

Green, Cyan, Dark teal, Orange, Red, Magenta, Brown, Blue, Yellow, Purple

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Pouring a non-matching color onto either wooden vault (red onto the green vault, orange onto the cyan vault), which seals the padlock and strands the follow-up cork underneath.
  • Cracking the cyan vault with B2 BEFORE peeling the dark teal segments off T3, which leaves the new cyan follow-up cork sitting on top of the orange middle of T3 and seals the cork shut.
  • Popping the yellow cork at T5 before yellow has been freed from a mixed bottle, which strands the only yellow on the board behind its own seal.

Quick Tips for Magic Sort Level 292 (spoiler-free)

  • Crack the green vault with T2's green FIRST, then immediately pop the new green follow-up cork at T2 with the released green — touching any other bottle before that follow-up cork pops strands the only spare green on the board behind its own seal.
  • Peel BOTH dark teal segments off T3 (dark teal, dark teal, orange, dark teal) into the cyan follow-up cork at B2 BEFORE the cyan vault cracks, or the orange middle of T3 drops onto the fresh cork and seals it shut.
  • The yellow cork at T5 is the last to pop and only yellow triggers it — leave it sealed until every other color has a clean single-color lane, then pop it with the yellow that surfaces from the last mixed bottle.
Board notes 5 details
Layout
A two-tier board with eleven bottle positions — five across the top row and six across the bottom. The top-left (T1) and bottom-left (B1) are both tall tan wooden vault boxes sealed with a small cork cap and a colored "?" stamp (green on the top vault, cyan on the bottom vault). T2 is a small full green single-color bottle, T3 is a four-color stack (dark teal, dark teal, orange, dark teal), T4 is a four-color stack (red, orange, red, magenta), and T5 is a tall corked bottle with a black "?" cap. The bottom row continues with B2 (a near-empty single cyan drop), B3 (cyan, orange, orange), B4 (orange, orange, blue), and B5/B6 (two more tall corked bottles with black "?" caps). No magic bottles, no frozen tiles, no wraps — every obstacle is either a wooden vault or a "?" cork cap.
Goal
Crack the top green vault with T2's green, pop the green follow-up cork that drops at T2, crack the bottom cyan vault with B2's cyan, pop the cyan follow-up cork that drops at B2, then walk the three tall black "?" corks at T5, B5 and B6 in padlock order with their matching colors so the four mixed bottles finally have enough single-color lanes to drain top-first. The yellow cork at T5 is the last to pop, and only yellow triggers it.
Opening
Pour the full green from T2 into the top-left green wooden vault — the padlock cracks, the green checkmark stamps the cap, and a new green corked bottle drops into the freed T2 position. Pour the B2 cyan drop into the B1 cyan wooden vault to crack the second padlock, and a fresh cyan corked bottle lands at the freed B2 position. Peel the dark teal top off T3 (dark teal, dark teal, orange, dark teal) into the B2 cyan cork to start a teal bank, then dock the next dark teal segment of T3 on top of it so the teal lane is two segments deep before the orange middle of T3 is exposed.
Danger Zone
Pouring anything other than green into the top vault (red onto T1, for example) seals the padlock and strands the follow-up cork — the green vault will only ever crack on green, the cyan vault will only ever crack on cyan. The follow-up corks dropped at T2 and B2 also only pop on their exact color, so a foreign pour (red onto the new T2 cork right after cracking the green vault) seals the follow-up cork shut for the rest of the puzzle. T3 (dark teal, dark teal, orange, dark teal) is the only teal source on the board, so the bottom vault's follow-up cork has to be popped with a teal pour; peel both teal segments off T3 BEFORE the cyan vault cracks, or the new B2 cork seals itself under the orange middle of T3. The yellow cork at T5 is the last to pop and only yellow triggers it, so touching that cork before yellow is freed from a mixed bottle locks yellow behind its own seal for the rest of the run.
Mechanics
A two-tier, eleven-bottle cork cascade with twin wooden vaults. Each vault is a two-stage lock — cracking the box only reveals a fresh corked bottle that needs a second matched pour, and the three tall black "?" corks at T5, B5 and B6 layer the same trap on top. The chokepoint is therefore four-stage: crack vault one with its color, pop the follow-up cork with the same color, crack vault two with its color, pop the next follow-up cork, then walk the three remaining tall corks in padlock order, and only after all five corks are popped can the four mixed bottles drain top-first onto single-color lanes. The teal segments buried in T3 are the only spare source for the cyan follow-up cork, so the teal bank has to be ready before the cyan pour.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do you crack the twin wooden vaults in Magic Sort Level 292?

Crack the top green vault with the green from T2 — the box pops, drops a new green corked bottle at T2, and you pop that follow-up cork with the released green. Then crack the bottom cyan vault with the cyan drop from B2 — the box pops, drops a new cyan corked bottle at B2, and you pop that follow-up cork with the banked teal. Each vault is a two-stage lock, so the same color has to pour twice — first into the box, then onto the follow-up cork.

  • Why is the yellow cork at T5 the last to crack in Level 292?

Yellow only appears as a hidden color in the T5 cork and has no spare source on the rest of the board. Touch that cork before yellow surfaces from a cleared mixed bottle and the only yellow on the board is locked behind its own seal. Walk magenta, brown and blue first, drain the last orange and teal segments off T3 and T4, and only then pour the yellow that surfaces onto T5 to pop the final seal.
