Meowdoku Level 1 Walkthrough

easy 4 colors

Meowdoku Level 1 is a short 4x4 tutorial that opens from the fixed purple cat on the right. Once you respect that completed region, the lime top square and the pink left-edge square force the last yellow cat into the bottom row.

Board Notes

Layout
The opening board is a 4x4 grid with one cat already fixed on row three, column four inside a two-cell purple strip. The top row has a single lime square in the third column, the second row starts with a single pink square on the left edge, and most of the remaining board is pale yellow. A red X blocks the square directly left of the pre-placed purple cat.
Goal
The real target is to settle the two one-cell colors without disturbing the already-complete purple region. Once the lime and pink singles are claimed, the last yellow placement is forced by row and diagonal pressure.
Opening
Do not touch the lower purple square because the upper purple cat already completes that region. Place the next cat on the lime square in the top row third column, then claim the pink square on the left side of row two.
Danger Zone
The center-right yellow cells around the blocked red X look playable at first glance, but they die immediately once the top lime cat and left pink cat are committed. The lower purple square is also a fake option because that color already has its cat.
Mechanics
Level 1 teaches three core rules at once: one cat can start pre-placed, blocked squares still shape the solve, and a single-square region should usually be taken before the broad shared color.

Quick Tips for Meowdoku Level 1 (spoiler-free)

  • If a region already contains a cat, cross the rest of that region out mentally before you test any nearby yellow squares.
  • With 4 colors in play, clear the pair with the fewest blockers first so the board opens up instead of tightening.
  • If the board feels stuck, look for the color with the cleanest path and use that to regain space.

How to Solve Meowdoku Level 1 — Full Solution

  2. Place a cat on the lime square in the top row third column.
  3. Put the pink-region cat on the far-left square of row two.
  4. Finish the puzzle with the last cat on the bottom row second column.
